Fantastic stay

I had a wonderful stay here! The space was clean and neat. The TVs in the living room and bedroom made it easy to transition from rooms without much fuss. The backyard space is quaint and super comfortable. I’d highly recommend this spot for a quiet getaway!

Great location!

Great location for our visit. It had just the amount of room for my wife and I. Check in was easy and communication with the host was great. There were a couple small issues that the host immediately resolved. The bedroom area is a little warmer than the rest of the cottage and the kitchen needs a few more spoons. Other than that, it’s a cute spot for a reasonable price.

Perfect for visiting the area

Michael was a great host. Communicative and presented a home exactly as described. I was in town visiting and needed a quiet place I could do work and relax, and it provided in spades. Will be back!

Clean and secluded

The unit was very clean and bug free! It comes with a washer/dryer combo and complimentary laundry supplies. The unit has a security gate with code access and everything to make your stay comfortable.

No local channels, only streaming. Could not watch the football games we wanted to see, nor get the up to date news. Would have preferred a stall shower.

Hello Thomas, I’m not sure why you left a three-star review since you and your wife told me multiple times you really enjoyed our home. Our listing is clear that we provide Netflix, Hulu and basic new channels. We also have several pictures of our bathroom and what kind of shower we have. You were able to view those photos prior to booking.

Glad we could find a place to stay but……..

My wife and I and our three small dogs needed to get out of SWF after Hurricane Ian and needed a place that would accommodate 3 dogs. Honestly, that’s hard to find but Micheal was willing to accommodate us and the fur babies as long as we paid an additional $300 pet fee. The property isn’t in the best of neighborhoods and the home isn’t in the best condition. It does have a fenced in backyard even though there are gaps in the fence where boards are coming apart. The back gate lock doesn’t work. I understand why the outdoor photos posted on VRBO where taken at night. If they had been taken in the daylight we could have seen how bad the furniture and deck flooring was. Our first impression walking into the home was good. Couch, carpet, TV, new kitchen appliances all looked good. However, pots and pans in the kitchen were unusable. Walking from the kitchen into the bedroom requires a 2” step down that could be hazardous for someone with mobility issues. The bed was comfortable, the TV was huge and there was lots of storage. Stepping from the bedroom into the bathroom is easy because there is no door and for some reason there is an additional doorway into the commode/shower area that is only 6 feet tall with no door. Grateful we found a place but actually left a day early when we found out the electricity and water in our neighborhood had been restored.

Hello Richard, I am happy we were able to accommodate your family and your 3 dogs. Our $100 per-pet fee is an industry standard and is in place due to increased cleaning expenses after having dogs in our home. The gate to our home does lock. One fence board was separated from the wind caused by Hurricane Ian. The outdoors photos were taken at night to show the string lights that illuminate the property at night and the gas fire pit. I'm happy you liked our bed, TVs, storage space, and new appliances. The step-down is in place to allow room for our barn door. Richard requested a 1-day refund which goes against our cancellation policy because his power came back on but we agreed to accommodate him.
