About tiger chalet
After spending vacations every year in Tahoe with the family, we just dreamed of owning a wood chalet so that we can come more often. My memory is often filled with the scene sitting with my wife ashore watching kids playing on sandy beach surrounded by the endless beauty of Lake Tahoe. That fresh air in the forest purifies the mind and soul. Now you can share our dream in this brand new house that has every thing a vacation deserves except price.
tiger chalet purchased this House in 2009
Why tiger chalet chose Tahoe Vista
This house has many activities close by. Walk to Kings Beach State Park and a short drive away from carnelian bay, centrally located to ski resorts such as Northstar (5 min), Squaw Valley, Diamond Peak, etc. It is adjacent to the 3rd T of Brockway golf course, and North Tahoe Regional Park with easy access to many walking and biking trails. Safeway grocery store and many great restaurants are a few blocks away.
What makes this House unique
The house has wonderful open floor design. Alderwood trim and cabinet throughout makes you feel welcomed in a luxury mountain retreat. Radiant floor heating, gourmet kitchen and tasteful decorated rooms offer all the comfort and luxury of a new Lake Tahoe vacation home.

Nice Spacious House
Very nice, clean modern house. We were there for our wedding and this house worked out perfectly. Three levels with bedrooms located on the two upper floors. Had plenty of privacy and space for the members of our party that stayed with us. Centrally located and close to everything you could want to do in North Shore. Owners responsive and easy to deal with.
Tahoe in July
We rented the Tiger Chalet for 4 days and wish we could have stayed longer. The house is spacious and clean and about a 15 minute walk to the beach as well as the grocery store. There's also a large deck with Weber grill overlooking the golf course. Will rent again!
Thanks a lot for staying at the Tiger Chalet! We are glad you had a good time. It is always our goal to make your stay a wonderful and memorial one. We understand the most important thing for vacation rental is cleanliness and we strive to make the home as your home away from home. Please come back in the near future. All the best, Shumay
Not worth it
We arrived at 8pm to the find the beds unmade, without sheets and covers. Some covers found tossed on the ground next to the beds. All beds looked like they were occupied previously and no cleaning was performed after use. The dirty filled laundry basket in the master bedroom left a foul smell throughout the restroom. Toilets were dirty and without toilet paper. Bathroom/showers were dirty with body hair found on shower floors. No extra clean towels or sheets available. Kitchen counter tops dirty and a foul smell coming out of the sink. The heating system did not work as described.
After attempting to contact the owners (neither of them answered initially) and reaching out to property manager, who stated that she "has not worked with this property/owner for over two years", however her contact number is still in the communication binder, We were finally able to reach the owner. After further communication, the owner asked us to do the laundry and other general cleanings. This resulted in a trip to a local store to purchase cleaning supplies/detergents at 10pm. Unfortunately the stores that were still open did not sell towels or sheets forcing us to do laundry at 11pm. It is at this point we found out washing machine works intermittently (as confirmed by Hiuse keeping staff- The next day). We had to cancel our plans for Friday night, as we were up until 3am attempting to wash laundry in a malfunctioning washing machine. Eventually we decided to sleep on the couches since we still did not have clean sheets which also resulted in pushing our plans back on Saturday to compensate for the lack of sleep.
On Saturday, we were in communication with housekeeping company (extremely professional and empathetic towards our situation) , who confirmed that the property had not been serviced for "3 weeks" and there were no requests pending in their appointment book to clean this property.
As working adults, we were looking forward to our vacations and as such, attempt to plan accordingly for our convenience. After a long day of working, the findings on this property on Friday night was unacceptable in our opinion and requesting us to clean the property, during our vacation night was inappropriate. We spent one out of our two nights in Lake Tahoe cleaning the property. I have yet to hear from the owner after filing the complaint.
Hi Muhammed, Sorry for the late response. Your comment did not get to me all this time. As I explained on the phone the other night, it was a miscommunication between me and the housekeeping company. As a matter of fact, I reminded them using text message the same day when you checked in, in addition to the regular emails ahead of time. Somehow the cleaning did not happen unfortunately. Although I have been contacting the housekeeping company the whole night and they did show up the next morning to clean the house, your night was wasted in cleaning the house. It was completely unacceptable to my standard. I understand how frustrating and disturbing it must be to you. I apologize again sincerely. I will contact you to see what I can do for you. The housekeeping company also wanted to apologize. This was the first time it ever happened in nearly seven years of the Tiger Chalet vacation rental. I forgave them and I hope you will forgive me as well. Best Regards, Shumay
A great place
Very nice cabin. About a 10-20 minute walk to the beach and Safeway as well. Would come back in a heartbeat.
End of Semester Trip Spring 2015
We rented the house for our end of semester trip. We really had a great time over there. The house was really spacious, all the beds and rooms were really big. The decorations inside the house were really beautiful and the living room was really cozy and comfortable. The house was also extremely clean from the garage to the bathroom. It is also close to safeway and lake Tahoe, which is very convenient for us! We had a wonderful weekend and it's in part because of this wonderful place to stay.
