Perfectly positioned along Highway 290 between Austin and Dripping Springs, Roadrunner Retreat offers the ideal combination of Hill Country convenience and city access. Whether you're planning a family reunion, group getaway, wedding weekend, or celebration with friends, this expansive ranch-style home provides plenty of room to gather, relax, and enjoy everything the Austin area has to offer.

With over 5,400 square feet of living space, seven bedrooms, multiple entertainment areas, and a large backyard with a private pool, this home was designed with groups in mind.
Please note: There is ongoing road construction along Highway 290 near the property, and rates have been reduced accordingly.

Living, Kitchen & Dining:
The main level features a bright and welcoming great room with comfortable seating, Smart TV, and easy access to the backyard and patio spaces.
The fully equipped kitchen includes double ovens, a glass-top electric stovetop, center prep island, and breakfast seating for six. Nearby, the spacious dining area comfortably seats 12 guests beneath large windows that fill the space with natural light.

Lower-Level Family & Game Room
Downstairs, guests will find a large entertainment space perfect for movie nights, game tournaments, or relaxing after a day exploring Austin. This bonus living area includes:

Great space for 2 families to stay. Lots of great seating and enough room at both tables, good kitchen.Place could use some TLC and updating, but the beds/beding were clean and comfortable. This home was everything as listed. Plenty of space for the families and a large gathering area with the dining room and living room. The downstairs area was very nice for the kids to hang out and play. Because of the weather change (summer to fall) the water was a little too cold for the kids to get in. The pool looked very inviting anyway and the large backyard was fun. Hopefully the HWY 290 construction will be completed soon.

We stayed for a week here while in town for a wedding, and had a 14-person group, plus a 4-year-old. The five bathrooms was a big plus and one of the prime motivators for selecting this property, but we spent more time on the back patio than inside! It was the gathering spot. For a group so large, we never felt like we were bumping into each other. The game room area downstairs was a big hit with the 20 yr olds, and we used the coffee maker more than any other appliance. Eventually several of the party even made it into the pool.The 20-minute drive into Austin goes fast, and access to the airport is very easy, nice for the many trips made for various arrivals/departures. The road construction in the front of the property was not an issue, easy to negotiate and you could not hear the traffic while sitting out back.The driveway handled all of our vehicles easily. The Social Club across the highway is an easy walk for a couple of drinks in the evening, and the taxidermy place next door is a great spot for some interesting conversation...they even gifted us some free sausage.Highly recommend.

Overall the stay was OK. It would have been nice if the yard was maintain better. Location was hard to get too the first time there. The pool lights were not working, but the grandkids had a great time!!

We’ve stayed in this area previously. Loved the size of the house and accommodated 12 of us easily. Close proximity to the wedding venue. We made great use of the pool. Loved the lower level entertainment area. All the nephews/nieces played video games all night long. Plenty of bathrooms

Great for large groups

We stayed here for a large family gathering. There were plenty of bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms for our group. The kitchen was also nice for accommodating the group. The kids had fun swimming in the pool, and there was a pleasant covered patio to sit on. We had a great time!

I booked this for a friend trip, and it was absolutely perfect!! The home was super spacious, and everyone was able to have ample privacy. The pool was great fun, the air condition worked great, and all appliances were perfect. I can’t recommend this place enough for a large group!
