Cozy new built home for 2, country living with city near by

My husband and I built and designed this house (900 square foot) for simple/retirement living. In floor heating, mini split AC. There is a large pond that separates us and our son/neighbor. We often see wild life here. We have a small patio in the front and a bigger one in the back yard. There is a natural gas grill and firepit/ fire wood in the back yard as well. Our home is equipped with everything you would have in your own home for a comfortable stay. Close to biking, hiking, and cross country skiing, snow showing and sledding (pigeon creek and Hemlock crossing are geared for year round with skiing and snowshoeing). Pigeon river kayak and canoe access less then two miles away, connects to lake michigan. Boat launch less then 2 miles away, just punch in boat launch/ramp near me on your Google maps.
We are Located between Holland (9.9 miles away) and Grand Haven (13 miles away) state parks/downtown day and night life. Tulip time runs May7-15 in Holland, parades, mini carnival and street entertainment. On Wednesday's and Saturdays Holland has a farmer's market from mid May-early December. Street performers (free entertainment) every Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 in the summer between June 15-August 17, including musicians, caricature artists, magicians, and sometimes aerial acrobats all along Holland's downtown 8th street, which also has several breweries, restaurants and a winery. Grand Haven Coast guard festival runs from July 28-August 6, filled with music, activities, fireworks, food and more.

My wife and I just spent three days here during the tulip festival and we had a wonderful time here. The house is setup perfect for two people. I would highly recommend staying here. Plan on coming back during the summer sometime next year.

This was a great property. It was clean, well stocked, and had clear instructions for everything. It was close to beaches, Holland, and Saugatuck. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to check out that part of the state. The antique Reader's Digests were a great little touch as well.

Great little place to stay

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay not far from Holland or Grand Haven, this is the place. Quiet and extremely clean with all the amenities you need. Enjoyed the hummingbird feeder! I would stay here again.

This property was immaculate and very well supplied. Great attention to detail. The location was convenient to Holland. It was quiet and scenic. The hostess was very congenial and accommodating.We would have liked a set of smaller, and maybe softer pillows. Otherwise it was a perfect place to get away.

Great location right out side of Holland

Nephew was opening up the new Olive Garden so we decided to make a weekend of it, found this great little cottage perfect for a couple. Owner is awesome she really made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend, we'll stay again. Thanks Gretchen.

The Perfect Place for Two

My wife and I were in town for a festival in Holland and this place could not have been more perfect. Everything we could need and more was provided by our gracious host. One of the best stays we’ve had in our years of traveling with VRBO.

Beautiful pond and close to many small cities to visit

Great location to all the things you want to see. Very clean. Loved how everything was labeled. The chickens where you could get fresh eggs was an extra nice touch. I would stay here again.

A great place to stay

We stayed at the cabin for one night, and it was perfect for our needs. Check-in was easy, the space was clean and neat, and very cozy. The host did a great job of communicating good local options for restaurants and activities, we really enjoyed the local farmer's market on Saturday morning. We also enjoyed the bird feeders outside the windows - we got a visit by a hummingbird in the morning! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality!

The stay was amazing. The house is roomy and very clean. All the beaches and state parks are within a short drive. We enjoyed going to grand Haven and Holland. Great, quiet setting! Small chicken coop on property that you can gather eggs from for breakfast! Gretchen left notes around the house explaining and offering different things!! Would definitely stay here again!

A bicyclists paradise

My husband and I chose to stay here in order to do some biking in the area. Not only is the home immaculate, comfortable, peaceful, and well stocked, but it's so close to the main bike trails that take you to Holland, Saugatuck, Grand Haven, and Zeeland. There's also three pickleball courts just down the street. We had a wonderful time. Our host was responsive, generous, and helpful. We would love to come back to this particular location for sure! Best place we've stayed.

Beautiful cozy stay

Such a comfy place to stay. The host labeled everything from lights to directions on the shower, heating, and doors etc. Making everything super easy and relaxing. The house had a cozy cabin feel with all the amenities of home. Awesome wifi, water pressure, and lighting. Although we didn't use much of the outside, there's a spacious backyard and lovely patio plus a fire pit. Everything was a 10-15 minute drive away. It's a fairly secluded cute getaway overall.
