Disappointing for the money that we spent

The positives: The staff was responsive and very helpful. The condo is in a great location. The views are spectacular. The beds were comfortable, and the parking convenient.

The negatives: The condo is old and only partially updated. The living space is too small for the number of people it sleeps. The gas fireplace is very slow in turning on (you can wait an hour for it to respond). Cheap and insufficient number of kitchen items. The bedrooms are cramped. There's no washer/dryer in the unit. The carpeting is stained and needs replacing.

These comments are in the context of perceived value. We stayed Christmas week and, as vacation rental owners ourselves, fully understand an upcharge but this condo and the entire building are old and in need of major updating. This is not a premium property and we were very disappointed that we ALOT of money to stay here.

For a condominium most people find the living space quite spacious. It is certainly not as big as being in a large home. All four bathrooms were completely redone last year and many other items as well. The carpet in a ski condo can be a little difficult to keep completely clean at all times, but we will take a closer look for sure. We do hope we have the opportunity of hosting you again.

Location great - accommodations were OK.

The location was great - close to everything we were interested in. Place was pretty clean though the carpet looked terrible (stains everywhere). I would recommended that they change this to some sort of hard surface. Kitchen was missing a few key items (spatula, etc.). Place was warm - no AC which we expected but then there were no screens on the windows and you couldn't really open the windows in the bedrooms because they opened to the walkway. They did have a couple of fans which helped. We were on the 4th floor and the elevator broke...thankfully it was fixed prior to check out.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Just after your departure we had the entire unit steam cleaned. We also went through the entire kitchen inventory again and made sure everything was complete. We double checked all the screens on the windows and they are all working properly. You are correct that there is no AC at vantage point, generally it is not needed with our cool nights. We do hope that you come and stay with us again. Berkshire Hathaway property management

Beautiful Vail Condo

Excellent location. Beautiful View. The perfect amount of space! Thoroughly enjoyed the balcony and grill! The pool and hot tubs helped make the trip. The only thing to keep in mind is no AC, but Vail has perfect weather during the day and cools down at night so this was a non-issue, especially with the fans found in the closets. The location was perfect! Walking distance to the gondolas Adventure Ridge on top of the mountain is a must with anyone with kids! Definitely will rent this condo again! There were only two small negatives: the windows need a good cleaning (gorgeous view so something we noticed) and the carpet is on the verge of needing replaced.
