Enjoy evening sunsets or star gazing from the rooftop patio. Watch for abundant desert wildlife in the area! Ideal for a golf getaway, couples retreat, family vacation or just an escape. Dine and shop at exclusive restaurants and retail stores within the North Scottsdale area.

This home is secluded on acreage surrounded with natural landscape, high end finishes throughout, a fabulous kitchen with abundant appliances and granite slab counters. A large living and entertaining room feature magnificent views of the Four Peaks and McDowell Mountains. High ceilings, solid wood doors and travertine flooring are just some of the wonderful finishes used in the construction of this home. A central courtyard accessible from the master bedroom and living room adds plenty of natural light and beauty to the living areas. Three spacious bedrooms and a den with a pullout couch offer lots of comfortable private sleeping space. There is a large garage, and mountain bikes are gladly provided for exploring the miles of mountain biking and hiking trails just steps from the home in the McDowell Mountain Preserve. Please note that this home is located just off of paved roads, 1/2 mile on an unpaved road.

Just a 7 minute drive from The Four Seasons Resort & Spa, Troon golf courses and the fabulous hiking trails of Pinnacle Peak, Tom Thumb and Browns Ranch.
There is no shortage of world-class golf courses, hiking and great shopping, dining and entertainment nearby. Located within an equestrian community, horse riding lessons and tours are available in the immediate area. ATV rentals also available in the immediate area.

Another Amazing Stay at this Home

We've stayed here a few times over the past 10 years for our annual Spring Training trip to Arizona. Mostly because the location is very rural and the views of the desert and mountains are truly amazing, plus it's very quiet and peaceful here. The view of the sunset from the rooftop patio is nothing less than spectacular. The home itself is clean and well-stocked and the beds are comfortable. We'll be back for sure!

Beautiful Desert Stay!

This property was amazing! What was even better was Anna, the host! We decided to stay around Scottsdale for our anniversary and Anna went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for our late arrival. This property is a short drive from the closest amenities and definitely gives rural desert vibes. The house is huge for just the two of us. Next time we visit, we'll check into this property first and maybe bring some friends... or not!

Private Getaway

House is very clean and comfortable. Outdoor space is very private and relaxing. We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub at night looking at the stars and listening to the coyotes in the distance. We will definitely return.

Quiet Retreat

Nice, quiet, secluded home in beautiful surroundings. House was spacious and well appointed. Comfortable beds. Kitchen has everything you would need. Views of the mountains spectacular. Road to the house was a bit rough so it was good we had a 4x4. Overall a great stay.

Too many things went wrong

Drive through the gate into a beautifully landscaped circular drive. Lots to enjoy: views, large hot tub, good linens, good amount of cookware, comfortable furniture, deck atop the house for sunset cocktail hours. The final half mile trek to this location on an arroyo-filled dirt road isn’t bad, but did become tedious around day 14 of our stay. Cleanliness is most important in rentals. Spoke to owner in advance, she promised clean house. We arrived early and the cleaning person was still there (with her children watching TV and husband caring for an infant). To test cleanliness of the floors I wetted a paper towel and wiped a few places noting it turned black. I asked her to please mop the floors before leaving. She agreed. Said we’d return at 4pm. The floors were not mopped. Grit, dust and debris of all kinds. The owner sent cleaning person back the next day for a proper job on the tile floors. With first use of vacuum I emptied the cannister before starting and noted it had not been properly attached, thus it had no suction power. While there were paper bits inside, no dirt. Hmmm. Attached correctly, vacuumed and cannister was half full of dirt, dust and hair. Clearly the carpets had not been properly vacuumed in a long time. The fridge was full of condiments and frozen dinners left behind by prior renters. Shelves were dirty with stuck on food. The house is built around an courtyard. Could be a lovely space but not very inviting with its small table, 5 potted plants, 3 of which are dead and weeds growing through the pavers. Thermostat wouldn’t come on. Owner determined it was a blown circuit breaker. Blew again later during our stay. Gate blew a breaker, had to park outside and carry groceries 50 yards to the house. Hot tub leak took 4 days to repair. The powder room TP holder fell off wall because it hadn’t been properly installed. The front door is split down the middle letting wind blow in. There'd been a leak and drywall above a patio door was pulled apart and left unrepaired. The walls have not been painted in some time, but many areas have been "touched up" with a slightly different color resulting in a hodge-podge appearance. The carpets have many stains and the hall runner is threadbare and shredding at the corners. TV screen size is ample, BUT no local AZ channels – it is linked to Seattle – so you get local news, traffic and weather information for Seattle. Not useful. Also, very few channels. Just too many things wrong here.

Awesome Stay!!

We stayed in Anna’s home over the Xmas Holiday. Anna was super responsive and very informative, proving clear directions for the house and check-in. (Follow her directions, not Waze). We wanted a fairly remote location with desert views and space and this house was perfect! The views of the desert and mountains are gorgeous (my dream view) & the house was clean and tidy. Anna has managed to create the perfect balance of a comfortable home with all the conveniences and supplies you would need with not feeling like you are a stranger in someone else’s home. The master bed was super comfy, the rooftop terrace had literal 360 degree views, and the hot tub was clean, working, and a fantastic amenity after hiking/biking. The location is about 20-30 min to groceries/gas/food. I would stay in this home again and again. Thank you Anna for such a perfect stay!

Spectacular property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 20 night stay at this beautiful property, in the northeast area of Scottsdale! Anna was a wonderful, attentive host and provided lots of details and information to help us make the most of our stay. The spacious house has lovely furnishings and all the amenities needed for a very comfortable visit. The wide open mountain & desert views from the patio are spectacular and the 360 degree views from the rooftop patio are equally spectacular… especially at sunset! It was a unique experience to occasionally hear coyote and wolf sounds from the nearby wildlife rehab center (the sounds always subsided within a few minutes). On two occasions we observed a coyote quietly pass through the back of the property. Hummingbirds and woodpeckers repeatedly visited the feeder beside the patio. We missed seeing the bobcat that Anna mentioned visits on occasion. The location is very private, quiet, a short drive down an unpaved road and surrounded by countryside homes and horse farms. We are hikers and this house is situated very close to some of our favourite trails: Granite Mountain, Browns Ranch, Tom's Thumb, Pinnacle Peak are all within about a 10 minute drive. It was always a treat to return to the house after each day's hike and relax in the large comfortable hot tub with the incredible views. Other hiking areas we enjoy within a 30-45 minute drive include Spur Cross Ranch, Cave Creek Regional Park, Lake Pleasant Regional Park, Adero trailhead in Fountain Hills and Butcher Jones at Saguaro Lake. You can access the Pemberton Trail in McDowell Mountain Regional Park via bike or walking from the house. Anne provides bikes that can be used. It is an hour drive to enjoy the Superstition Mountain hiking options along the famous Apache Trail (don't miss the novel dining experience at Tortilla Flats saloon). Another plus is that most of these trails have free access or some have a nominal fee of about $5. There is an incredible array of good restaurant and grocery store choices all within a 20 minute drive ... no freeway driving required to reach these establishments which we appreciated to help maintain our relaxed mood. Thank you Anna for sharing your special place with us and we look forward to a return visit!

Wonderful property. All the amenities that you could possibly need for a relaxed stay. My only suggestion would be to give guests a heads-up on grocery store locations. They are located a significant distance from the home, but could easily be accessed on the way. Highly recommended!

Delightful desert

Spent a wonderful month at this property. If peace and tranquility and nearby horses are your thing, Anna’s place will suit. Desert preserve a 10 minute walk and Anna has bikes so you can explore. Hot tub a plus after mountain biking in the desert or star gazing at night. Wifi good. Photos show level of appointment accurately. This was a special place with hard to replicate views of Four Peaks.

Spring golf getaway

My husband and I went with another couple to explore around Scottsdale area and play golf. Anna was fantastic and very accommodating since we got there a day early to avoid getting snowed in. We loved how quiet and peaceful the property was and the views. Layout of the house was perfect for us as well. Wished it had been warmer to enjoy the courtyard and patio more in the evenings. We will definitely be back and loved staying there.

The location is off the beaten path and slightly away from the city, which is our preference. We were there 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the property. Lovely Home!

Anna is a delightful and attentive host! My husband and teenage son and I stayed at her beautiful home with my mother and brother, and there was plenty of room for us all. We especially enjoyed the amazing views and listening to the coyotes howl at the full moon! You can sit in the enormous hot tub and count the jack rabbits in the back yard. Our day trip to Sedona was a hi,t and cooking family meals in the large kitchen was a joy. Anna was easily reachable and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend her lovely home!

The views were beautiful and the weather gorgeous however the location is quite far from everything. The furnishings look a little tired but adequate. I would advise anyone staying here to arrive before dark as it is very difficult to find after dark. Anna's directions were good it was just very dark.
