Location was quiet and private, perfect for a break from busy schedule. Cottage was charming with especially comfortable couch and bed. Great surroundings for walking the dog.
Place was pet friendly. Overall clean. Carpets could use a better vacuum clean. Landscaping could use a refresh.I don't think we would have sat outside even if the weather was good. The washer was not working as it should.
The property was surrounded by quiet surrounded by green fields! LOVED seeing all of the stars at night! We had originally planned to have a dog with us so it was nice to have a fenced area. Would like to come back and actually experience some of the local wineries.
We had a wonderful one week stay at the cottage. The location was perfect we enjoyed riding our bikes 1 mile into Jacksonville to explore. Our dogs loved the fenced yard and we loved hearing the horses, cows and the peacock greet us each morning. While the living room furniture was older the beds were delightfully comfortable.
My wife and I were in town for the weekend and were so happy to find this house. It's located on a nice, quiet road really close to Relik which happens to be one of our favorite wineries. It's close proximity to Jacksonville makes it really easy to enjoy the wineries and other attractions in town. The hosts were great, and check-in was really easy. We will certainly be back when we're in town again.
Relaxing beautiful little cottage in the country. Peaceful and quiet. Great fenced yard for dogs too if you have them. Cute farms with animals all around to enjoy. Close to Jacksonville I recommend it highly

Jess & Matt were great hosts and communicators. Rapid response when I had a question and provided detailed instructions. The added amenities were perfect. Both beds were very comfortable.

Extra charges!
Nice out of town stay. Very comfortable. Did not like all extra charges added on to daily fee.

There should not be any fees added. If that happened you should call VRBO immediately. We do not add any fees aside from a very small cleaning fee.
Absolutely loved the cottage and how well stocked the kitchen was. Our only complaint was the water pressure was terrible, the shower was more of a dribble, washing dishes was even a challenge. That's the only factor preventing a 5 star rating, they need a new well pump!

Beautiful property! From the squirrels to the grapevine s, so much to look at across the large property! Very quiet! I would suggest reading the informational binder on the kitchen table. It has a lot of useful information like spot on food recommendations and also local emergency information. The history about the property and Elizabeth and Otto, gets you in a curious mood as you sit on the outdoor deck decompressing after a long day. Elizabeth's Cottage is cute and the little details keep your mind stimulated. We never met the owners, but we felt very welcomed by the many little thoughtful details you encounter throughout the cottage. This place is NOT for young Party People, so if that is you, don't bother. The only thing I didn't like was the little bridge you have to drive over. But even that bridge adds to the character of the place. What you see and read online is pretty much what you get, no negative surprises. We HIGHLY recommend Elizabeth's Cottage!!
This cottage was perfect for our visit to historic Jacksonville. Check in was quick and easy. The property was minutes from town yet had a comfortable feel of being in the countryside. The hosts responded quickly to our inquiries. They were kind enough to quickly return a valuable item I left. Elizabeth's Cottage was perfect for our visit. Excellent choice for a lovely area.
I had a few interactions with the hosts prior our arrival. They always responded very promptly, and seemed happy to help me. The cottage is in a nice country setting and is casual and comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for us, and we also enjoyed sitting out on the deck. The place was clean, cozy and welcoming. They even had farm fresh eggs for us. I would definitely stay here again!

We would love to host you again if youâre ever in the area!
We enjoyed our stay here and Jess was a great hostess! We loved the little personal touches. The location just outside of Jacksonville (only a mile from the Britt venue!) was perfect and we appreciated finding a pet-friendly place to stay. The only thing that kept us from leaving a 5-star review was a problem with the electronic âsmartâ lock on the front door. Apparently we inadvertently switched the lock off without realizing it so we ended up locked outside for about 20 minutes while we waited for the owner to show up and let us in with a key. It was our own fault, but the lock was needlessly complicated and probably should have been explained a bit better to keep something like that from happening. Aside from that we were very happy and will probably stay here again for future concert get-always!!
Cute house with a nice fenced in area for our dog. Very close to Jacksonville. We enjoyed our stay.
