Green oasis

Spent v relaxing ten days here - getting to know the area on bikes and on foot. Coming back to the property was always a delight. The park with its ancient trees and comfortable loungers was inviting and restful.

Nous avons passé un séjour régénérant au milieu d’une nature magnifique qui nous a bercés au rythme du vent dans les feuilles d’arbres majestueux, des chants d’oiseaux, bruissements d’ailes des chouettes,..L’appartement entièrement rénové est très beau et très bien équipé, le jardin est très agréable pour farniente, jeux de raquettes ou de criquet proposés par l’hôte, la forêt regorge de piste de randonnées et le lac privé un délice pour une baignade.?Florian est un hôte chaleureux et très attentifs aux besoins et bien-être de ses invités. C’était très agréable de nous laisser porter par ses conseils de visite, fête de villages, marché régionaux,… et de partager des discussions passionnantes. Il est aussi une mine d’or au sujet de la nature qui l’entoure et vous invite à observer des scènes rares tels que des bébés chouettes apprenant à voler par exemple.

Plénitude..Vacances Tranquillou à Charreyroux

Nous avons passé un séjour Très agréable, au calme, dans un cadre de verdure magnifique. La météo ne nous a pas permis de profiter pleinement de l'étang et des canoës mais par contre de ces sentiers à proximité. L'appartement est idéal pour se reposer, aménagé avec tout le confort nécessaire. Nous remercions Florian pour son accueil chaleureux et de toute son attention envers ses "Guests" Ses goûts pour la déco font de cet endroit un havre de paix. Lieu idéal pour se reposer

Malgré un temps très maussade nous avons pu profiter de cet endroit calme. La maison est bien équipée et convient parfaitement pour 2 personnes. Il y a un bel étang qui par beau temps doit être agréable pour la baignade. Nous remercions chaleureusement Florian pour son accueil et nous lui souhaitons bon courage pour la suite de ses projets

Just perfect!!

The spot is incredibile, we feeled at home as soon as we arrived. It's green, beautiful, the vibes are so good out there! The apartment is very well furnished, there is everything in there and even more than needed. The bed is hudge I've never slept that well! The lake is amazing, to enjoy a quiet moment in the morning or the evening it's the ideal place. Having a swim as well is a quite good idea. Florian is a very nice guy, a great person, we enjoyed a lot spending some moments with him. Périgord vert is a dreaming place to spend holidays. It's as beautiful as the black one but greener and less crowded. We can only warmly recommend this place!! We will definitely come back as much for the Périgord vert than for the incredible property than for Florian!! Impossible not to like the experience.

Wunderbar, erholsam, unglaublich.......nahezu perfekt

Wer Frankreich und die Natur liebt ist hier genau richtig. Unglaubliche naturbelassene Wälder, tolle Wanderwege, wunderschöne Dörfer, hervorragendes Essen im nahegelegenen Restaurant (La Sens de la Terre), Ruhe, die Erholung ist gesichert. Dazu kommen noch das wunderbare, riesengroße Grundstück auf dem wir fast alleine waren und wir uns ein bisschen als Schlossherr fühlen duften. Abends waren Schleiereulen, Fledermäuse und Kauze zu Gast. Wir wollen auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Nice, confortable and quiet place

We enjoyed our stay in les Chareyroux. I had a good and friendly contact with Florian. Also the local couple who welcomed us was charming and available when needed. The place is very quiet and comfortable. We were able to have a full break from the city. We felt like we here at home and were sad to leave.

Entspannung und Genuss pur!

Ein wunderschönes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Appartment - mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Eigentlich wünschten wir uns einen entspannten Aufenthalt in der Sonne am hauseigenen See oder auf den Liegestühlen im Gelände. Aber da das Wetter uns einen Strich durch die Rechnung machte, konnten wir feststellen, dass es auch an kalten und regnerischen Tagen in der Region genug zu unternehmen gibt - und die Entspannung abends nach einem leckeren Abendessen "zuhause" beim Rotwein und einem prasselnden Feuer im Kaminofen genauso schön sein kann. Wir kommen wieder.

Charreyroux Dordogne

I would like to thank the owner, Florian for giving us the opportunity to stay at his amazing property near Busserolles. The photographs of the property are a good representation of what is on offer here. We really did have our own lake and orchard set in beautiful surroundings. Each morning we would walk into the orchard and pick our own fruit from the trees including, peaches, pears, apples, grapes, blackcurrents. The lake is also ideal for swimming and fishing and we particularly enjoyed the small boat which is there for your own personal use. The apartment itself is equipped to an extremely high specification. There is a dishwasher, fridge- freezer, high spec coffee maker and quality furnishings. The shower in the bathroom was very powerful which is always a bonus. The lounge, dining room and bedroom are all in 1 room but for 2 people there was plenty of room for us and our belongings. We also took our dog with us who enjoyed the freedom of his surroundings, the great walks and swimming in the nearby lake. Piègut- Pluviers is the nearest town which has a few nice restaurants, a market on Wednesday's which is really worth a visit and bakeries, butchers and an inter- marché which is their equivalent of a supermarket. There is a lovely place nearby called St Estèphe where there is a huge lake, great facilities and small beach. There is also a 'Producteur' market there on Saturday evenings from 6pm. Here you can buy local produce and eat local food at really good prices. Approx 11 Euros for 2 courses. Other recommended places to visit are Brantôme- it is so quaint and we hired a canoe, Périgueux if you want to go to a larger busier town for shopping- good for clothes shopping, Jumilhac- le Grand and Nontron for markets, Oradour- Sur- Glane- a WW2 village. The region is famous for Foie Gras and a lovely aperatif to drink or buy is Pineau de Charente which is like a sweet sherry. My advise is to steer clear of the andouillette- an offal based sausage. The French love it but I guess it is an acquired taste- not for me though. The best restaurant nearby is 'Perigord de Vert' in Piégut- Pluviers. The tomato and coconut soup was 'délicieux'. An amazing holiday and we will definitely return.

I just talked to Lisa, and she got restaurants mixed up. She recommends the " la sense de la terre", as we do too. It´s at least worthy of 1 Michelin star ;-)
