Perfect house for family vacation

This house worked well for our extended family vacation. We enjoyed the backyard with fire pit and grill. Great location in the country but still close to everything in Glenwood Springs. Would recommend this house and we would stay again.

We found the house spacious and comfortable, in a beautiful location and close to Glenwood Springs and our activities. However, we had major concerns with the kitchen, specifically the kitchen faucet, which was not working and was a major inconvenience in cooking and cleaning the dishes. The coffee pot did not work, requiring us to go into town for coffee each morning.. Half of the electrical outlets and two burners on the gas range did not work. And there were ants by the back door. When we checked in, the cleaning people said the faucet was not working and a plumber would be coming to fix it. When the plumber did not come, we called the host three times during the weekend and texted twice to advise the host the plumber had not come and the coffeepot and the electrical outlets were not working. No one answered our calls and no one called us back. The text responses we got were standard messages that the host would check with the team. When I asked the host for a partial refund for the problems we had in the kitchen and with our communications, the host basically called me a liar about the kitchen faucet, said it was working perfectly when we left, and I had not tried to contact the host about the problems to get them fixed. Although the host says guests are treated like family, we feel we were ignored while we were there, and treated poorly in our subsequent communications. And we do not feel this property was worth the 1,400 a night we paid for it.

Glenwood Spgs Vacation

We had a wonderful time with some adjustments. We did not find a 5th bedroom so we used the common area sofas for two of our family members. We went to town to purchased our own paper towels and toilet paper.

Great home - great location

Had a great time with family celebrating a milestone birthday. Meera was easy to work with. The house was clean and the views were awesome. The backyard patio with grill and fire pit was great and we even got treated with a visit from 3 Bighorn Sheep on our last day. Previous comment about the edges of two area rugs being curled up are still valid, but can easily be taken care of at some point with some carpet tape. It is close to I70 so some road noise can be heard from the front bedrooms, but it wasn’t a big problem for our group. The upside is quick access to the highway made our trips into town easy.

Location is close to every thing. Bathrooms have no grab bars. Rugs have turned up edges and are a trip threat to those of us, who are older. Hot water heater was turned off when we arrived,we fixed it, . Lots of birds in the yard. Front porch steps are wobbly. Kitchen fosset leaks. Saw many bighorn sheep with in a mile of the house. Some the furniture had rips in the leather. We enjoyed our stay hope that some of these repairs are done to make it more enjoyable.
