LAKESIDE RETREAT-Overlooking the scenic beauty of Lake Erie, Lorain,Ohio

This Lakeside Retreat sleeps 4 comfortably and has been completely renovated with all the amenities to have a comfortable getaway along the shores of Lake Erie.
By going down the stone stairway, you have access to the lake itself , actual water level. Although swimming is discouraged , you might want to “cast a line “. Please no rock climbing!
You can enjoy watching fun lake activities from any of the three lake bank levels. The retreat’s lakeside bedroom opens onto the covered balcony above the covered patio. The Lorain Lighthouse is within sight, along with majestic sunsets, intriguing lake wildlife, and other marvels of Mother Nature. The Retreat’s large windows allow viewing from inside, as well. There is a gas fueled fire pit for your evening gathering as you wind down your day. Boat charters, jet skis, and kayak rentals are nearby. Summer concerts at Black River Landing just .6 mile away. Cedar Point and downtown Cleveland are only a 45 minute drive.

This home's location was fantastic with a breathtaking view of the lake. Home was wonderfully decorated and well equipped with so many amenities. We will be returning visitors because our family lives in S. Amhurst.

This property was above and beyond our expectations. It is beautiful in every way. The layout of the house is outstanding, so much so that we would like to in contact with the contractor to get some work done on our own house. The view is amazing, the pictures do not do it justice. I would highly recommend this property and would stay there again in the future! 5 stars

I cannot say enough great things about this property. It was so immaculately clean and organized, and there was nothing you needed. Right down to having the basics stocked in the refrigerator, water, ice, even butter and coffee. We absolutely loved our stay and wish we could’ve stayed much longer. One of the best properties I have ever stayed at.

This place was amazing. I wanted a lakeside retreat and this delivered and then some. From the record player which revitalized my love for some classic artists, to the binoculars to watch the birds/boats from the five different levels to watch the water, it was utter relaxation. Many amenities were provided; cookware, fridge basics, toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/bathwash/dental stuff), games, and comfortable seating/beds! I will definitely book again am already looking forward to it! I can’t say enough about the stay as it was perfect.

Everything was as described. House was wonderfully arranged and decorated. There's 4 full bathrooms in this house! Beach access was close by. Chelsea Beach was a 5-minute walk down the street. The natural gas fire pit was an extra comfort for evenings lounging in the backyard.

This was our fourth year here. We've already booked for next year. This is probably the cleanest property we have ever stayed in! The location is perfect and beautiful. The host, George is the best. Excellent communications - you need something, he's got you covered! This is our home away from home. It's nice to be able to keep going back to a place and know 100% that you will have a great experience. We look forward to coming back for many years to come.

My wife and I stayed at this home over Labor Day weekend from 9/4-9/7 2026 for our anniversary celebration trip. The home is an easy 35 minute drive from the Cleveland attractions that we wanted to explore. The home is tastefully decorated in a nautical theme very appropriate for a lake view house. Everything throughout the home has been updated and was clean and fresh. The host thought of everything, from a fully stocked first aid/ medicine cabinet, extra phone charging cords in the nightstands, to coffee, creamer, and sugar in the kitchen! Very nice touches. House rules were clearly explained and reasonable. The views from both the first floor patio and the walkout bedroom balcony were beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed having our morning coffee while watching the lake from the balcony. Our only regret, was having many activities planned throughout the weekend that took time away from enjoying more of those views! LolI'd certainly recommend staying here!Kudos to George for a offering a beautiful home and very enjoyable stay!

This was our fourth stay at this wonderful house. As always, it was spotlessly clean, furnished with everything you could possibly need, has very comfortable beds, great showers, excellent climate control--and to top it off, a spectacular view of the lake. This continues to be our favorite VRBO. The hosts couldn't be any friendlier or more accommodating. This is the perfect place for peace and quiet.

We had the best experience staying here, both times we have visited. The property is not only immaculately clean, but very well appointed-like staying in a fine hotel room, but cozy and with a lot more amenities! The bathrooms had more clean towels and shampoos and soaps than we needed. They even have a washer/dryer, which we didn’t use, but nice to have available. Little touches are everywhere in this home that make it a real pleasure to visit, and the view can’t be beat. There was even coffee, condiments and snacks. I would definitely stay here again and again. Great place.

The house had everything you could want and more. The whole place is recently updated. It exceeded my expectations. Every nice having 2 full bathrooms. I’d love to stay again. The extras in the kitchen like butter and half & half were appreciated! We tried fishing but no luck. Only thing better is if we caught some fish ;)
