Not as anticipated

The property is significantly more rural than indicated in the listing. I have family in the area and was not prepared for how remote the home is. The directions provided for the detour were difficult to follow due to the poor road markings and numerous curves and branchoffs. It was a guessing game which road to stay on. Once we did arrive the home had a very musty smell that permeated the blankets and bedding. The first thing my son noticed was a bug on the book shelf which darted quickly away as i tried to swat it. Cobwebs in the corners and the shower door didnt close. Owner said to push it. It took my entire weight on a glass door to close it. I was not ok with that. The home overall needs spruced up and and would look a lot cleaner. Some of it was just old fixtures but the smell was hard to deal with. We were offered a refund if we left right away. No other solutions were offered. We were just told to leave and i was treated like i was at fault for booking a rural property. We were lost for 1.5 hours in the light trying to find the home due to the detour and it was getting dark, my kids were terrified so we stayed till morning. At which point he refunded me less than 1/3 of our 2 night stay. We didnt dirty a dish. We used 1 towel because the linens smelled musty and were stiff. I have been in contact with VRBO for 3 days and still not gotten anything from the dedicated team that was assigned to this issue. It permeated the blankets and bedding. The
