Wake up ON the lake aboard Afternoon Delight
Afterrnoon Delight is a houseboat with tons of charm! Wake up to the sounds of the water and go to bed watching an amazing sunset!
The outdoor space of this boat is great! The large front deck two comfy chairs and side table. The upper deck has two lounge chairs to enjoy the sunshine or evening sunset.
Inside you will find a king size bed, kitchen area with fridge/microwave and kcup coffee maker. The front living area has a futon that can double as an additional sleeping area. While there is a bathroom on the boat, we ask this is used sparingly as the systems are sensitive. We have a a BRAND NEW bathhouse that was built at our dock. There are three full bathrooms with regular size showers, toilets and sinks. Just steps away from the boat. (2023)
There is a brand new heating and air conditioner unit that was added in 2023.
Kayaks and fishing poles are available and complimentary to our overnight guests. Life vests are also available.

You will love being able to walk to the beach and having Downtown Port Clinton activities within minutes. Restaurants, bars, live music, festivals, farmers markets, art shows and more! If you have a boat/jet skis/kayak this is the paradise for you. Please let us know if you would like to bring it, we have dock spaces available. There is access to Lake Erie and the Portage River directly from the marina. The Sandusky Bay is only a few minutes’ drive, as well as Cedar Point. The Jet Express is a couple minutes down the road, and you can be to Put N Bay or Kelley’s Island quickly!
Reminder, this is a boat on the water, in a marina. There are other houseboats and personal boats in the marina. The boats do not move from the dock, but simply camping on the water!Depending on the weather, there can be movement. There can also be different kinds of wildlife and bugs. This is similar to camping, but on the water! Spiders, Flies, Mayflies, Nats, etc are all creatures of the water areas. We do spray and clean for these, but want to make you aware that you may see them. We do our best to keep you comfortable! Please let us know if there is anything we can do while you are with us.

Houseboat get away
We had the most relaxing time on the houseboat. Lots to do in the area, owners were the best!
It’s like camping on the water. We truly enjoyed the time there and would definitely go back.

Dream Boat of a Stay
Why stay in a hotel when you can chill on the water and enjoy sunrise, sunsets and relaxation like what you’ll find here. Quiet, peaceful, serene, and an out of the box fun experience. Community washrooms, very secure, safe and clean, but dont forget to take a towel! Would and hope to stay here again.

Had an amazing weekend! Everyone was so friendly. Had live music and a cookout for the guests Saturday evening. It was a great experience with great people. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Getaway
Far more enjoyable than any hotel - you get a personalized sunset view from the upper decks of the houseboat. It's like camping, but even better without the camp-bugs. The bathrooms are at the end of the dock, but are spacious and clean. We came on a holiday weekend, so had special treats of fireworks visible to the west, a festival downtown, delicious food everywhere - and even dock parties with live music one night and a DJ another. Very relaxing atmosphere and we will be back!

Excellent hospitality
We had a wonderful experience! It was my birthday weekend and the property management made it a great one! Friday night they grilled out for all of us and they even got me a birthday cake. It was so sweet. They had karaoke and music on the dock as well. Saturday night they fried walleye fish! We really enjoyed watching the sunset on top of the house boat. It was nice being so close to the beach. I give it a 10 out of 10!

I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure what I’d be getting myself into because I’ve never done anything like this before but, it was my birthday and I wanted something different. This exceeded my expectations and it’s hands down one of the coolest things that I’ve ever done. The property and bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained. Communication was great with the owners/host. They really are passionate about bringing their love of the outdoors to others and I could tell that they were genuinely for me to have my little adventure. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Oh, and I forgot to mention the sunsets and sunrises are AMAZING!! The pictures definitely don’t do it justice. I mean I honestly don’t have a negative thing to say about the property, owners, or experience.

Fun experience, something different!
We really enjoyed our stay for the weekend. It was a unique experience for sure. One thing we were not prepared for was how windy it got at night time. You could definitely feel the boat moving which unless you're a heavy sleeper will keep you up at nighttime. The bed was really comfortable, and everything was as is in the photos. It was so nice of the renters to leave snacks and coffee as well. For 2 people the property was perfect especially if you like the outdoors and camping. It felt like camping on the water. The shower house was just a short drive-you could definitely walk but we were staying in October and it's a little chilly. Overall we really enjoyed staying! Definitely would have preferred a warmer month so you can enjoy the top level in the sunshine.

Josh and Michelle are a couple with 6 children between them. They have a love of the water and spend their free time fishing, boating and enjoying all aspects of water sports. The water is our happy place and we love spending time with our family and friends.

Not everyone has a boat but to experience staying on one is pure enjoyment. Waking up ON the water and falling asleep to the sounds and movement is relaxing.
