Easy walk to the beach. Dog friendly was a plus for us! The downstairs (disconnected from upstairs) had two queen beds with a divider wall, which was perfect for our group. A big thanks to Bill for being communicative and kind! Would stay again.

This is a great beach house! A bit basic, but the location was great, with an easy walk to the beach, and we absolutely loved the screened back porch and deck… the view of the creek was wonderfully relaxing… so much better than just staring at someone else’s house! We did find the light/fan switches to be quite confusing… a notecard or labels would have been quite helpful! All in all it was a great stay!

We wouldn't stay anywhere else on Oak Island! House is well-equipped and comfortable. Beautiful views of Davis Canal and its wildlife from the big back deck or screened-in porch and only a two-block walk to the beach. Restaurants and shops just a few minutes away by car. Perfect location

The Pelican House was perfect for our 2 week stay! The walk to the beach was so quick it was easy to go back and forth throughout the day. The view of the marsh was changing all the time and it was fun to watch all the wildlife. Breakfast in the rocking chairs out back was a great way to start the day. We really enjoyed staying here!! No complaints!
