Absolutely amazing!!! We loved the home we were also able to bring our fur baby!!! Great views of the mountains an also super close to town!! All kind of super fun attractions and hiking!!! Will definitely be back and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Great little spot away from almost everything, but still close enough to the surrounding cities that it was never a bother, really the perfect location to get away from it all. And just have a relaxing time. Highly recommend this spot.
Great location. Comfortable property. Didn’t contact hosts because they provided everything we needed.

Overall we thought it was a great place. The only thing we thought would have been nice would have been to have a second bathroom, maybe one downstairs.
We were highly impressed that we had plenty of space, kitchen was immaculate and well stocked with items we needed, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the we were provided wifi and all other necessities. Though I didn't finish my Pikes Peak race on time, it was still a great stay here, convenient to wonderful restaurants, shops and places to drink as well as near two towns and all their shopping. It is the second time we have stayed in this property and if we return we will highly consider this fine place again. Any problems that developed were resolved very quickly and it was very easy to get a hold of the owner.
We would likely book this place again for our family of 5 with 2 dogs.

Thank you so much for being a wonderful guest Kayla! We enjoyed hosting you and hope to see you again!
Loved the location and the quietness. There were some great walks around the property to walk the dog and the scenery was amazing. The duplex was well maintained. My only suggestion was to have better lighting.

Thank you for the feed back and the nice review. I hope to see you again and we will look into some upgrades lughting
The property is nice and private, but is located on the mountain with very little area for our dogs to be walked and barely any grass for potty breaks. Not a negative for the property just our circumstances. The owner is very nice and accommodating and the interior of the unit is comfortable for a casual stay!
We had a great time when we and even got to see snow. The house was cozy and had everything we needed (even chopped firewood). There was a mishap the first night, but I reached out to the owners and they contacted me immediately and rectified the issue. I would def recommend this property and will stay here again when I visit Colorado.

The property is in a great location tucked into the mountain. Easy access to highway. Very clean. Downside was the outside sitting area. Needed cleaned up and does not look like the pictures. Overall, it was good and we would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with our half of the duplex. Loved having the balconies and being surrounded by tress our dog loved it. Just make sure you are watching when you leave as the vehicles coming down approach quick!

Our first impressions driving up the drive was the grounds were in end of a good cleanup. There were lots of weeds growing up between the rocks in both patio areas. The inside of the duplex was inviting and spotless!
Check in and check out was so easy i thought i was doing it wrong. The host was EXTREMELY responsive, usually within minutes. The house is in a great location for experiencing the tourist attractions in and around Colorado Springs or if you just want a quiet getaway. We had five people in our group and had plenty of room for everyone. I cannot say enough about the host or the property. Will definitely stay here again.

Thank you for the kind words we appreciate you and the review
We stayed in this lovely home over new years and enjoyed our time spent. We had a few hiccups - the uphill driveway was VERY slick from recent snow with no snow or ice management happening and was dangerous to drive out of because the house is on a major curved road (blind turn), the heat took a while to get going because it’s left at 60 degrees when empty, and the kitchen only had the basics - but for the value it was an awesome stay, and you can walk to a couple of Cascade restaurants from the house was a surprise bonus.

Thanks for the stay. We will work on addressing the snow in a more timely way
Home was beautiful, when we got there the tub had a drip and someone left the plug down, tub was almost full. So you don’t have overflow you may want to call someone in. We loved the location, privacy, home had character. Wish we had more time to spend another day! Thank you!
Nice hidden away location and convenient to the area’s itineraries
Spacious home with a great living and dining area for a group and a great, well equipped kitchen…as well as a washer and dryer for use (which came in handy) all downstairs. Upstairs is a Large bathroom (no bathroom downstairs) along with 2 nice-sized bedrooms and a middle room with an extra twin bed. Plenty of storage with large closets/dresser drawers, etc. No AC in the house but when we were there 7/2-7/10, they had super efficient fans that never made us feel anything but totally comfortable. Prompt and friendly communications with Kelly - always appreciated. And everywhere you turned, there was a balcony and lots of outdoor seating. This was an ideal place for our enjoying the Pikes Peak region. Thank you for having us!

Colorado
The property was not as accurately advertised related to the location.
When I was researching listings in Cascade the map indicated the property was on the north side of highway 24 on Forest Rd. This was one of the deciding reasons why I booked it. If it would have been on Forest Rd as it was pinned on the VRBO map it would have been only few blocks from our family and would have been within walking distance.
For the future might I suggest VRBO do better job of pinning the general location on the map. I understand that an exact location is not feasible but, in this case, there was a big difference in what the map showed and where it actually was.

I am truely surprised and consumed by this review! Prior to booking I offered a reference address 1/10 of a mile away, after check the were message about how nice the place was. I understand the frustration with VRBO, but as owners we have little to no say in the platform. I too hope VRBO can address this as this review will not help. So sorry on multiple levels

We moved to Colorado in 2012 as an alternative to the hustle and bustle of busy, and hot, Dallas, TX. Since then, we’ve been exploring the mountains and found so much to offer. We’ve come to love this area and want you to see and feel that it’s one of the most special places in Colorado. This packet lists some of our favorite hikes and activities but is just the tip of the iceberg. If you’d like more recommendations, we would be happy to share what we can, just give us a call.
Why they chose this property
Enjoy Everything that Colorado Springs has to offer, coupled with this great location on a secluded 3.5 acre lot, close to so much more that the mountains have to offer. The scenic mountain community of Cascade is nestled among the Pikes Peak foothills just minutes from Colorado Springs. Named for nearby waterfalls, Cascade beckons to visitors as the front door to Pikes Peak, the country's most visited mountain. Every year, more than a half-million people reach the peak's 14,110-foot summit. Cascade also houses historical businesses like the Adobe Inn at Cascade, with Southwest-style accommodations.
Hiking trails to local waterfalls include the Heizer Trail in Cascade Community Park and the Catamount Trail in Green Mountain Falls. Afterward, head to The Skinny Taco for small-batch salsa and a well-seasoned menu. Then continue on to nearby Manitou Springs, home to cliff dwellings, the Cave of the Winds and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, the highest train in the nation. Be sure to saddle up for horseback-riding tours through the stunning Garden of the Gods, located just down the road.
What makes this property unique
