If you're looking for a small quiet space in the country this is it. This cozy cottage is the place to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Wifi, washer, dryer, grill, and fire pit is available. There is a deck overlooking the woods in the back yard. If you have a boat and love to fish or kayak, this place is for you. It is half a mile from the beautiful White river. It is 13 miles from Mountain View. There you can go mountain bike riding, take a guided fishing tour, shop, and listen to music on the square on weekends. There is also a drive in theater nearby. This property sleeps 6.

Short Getaway

The cabin was very cute inside but a bit difficult to locate at first. The area was remote and cell phone connection was not great until we were able to enter the cabin. We had a nice quiet getaway and were able to reconnect with friends in the area.

The stay was great just a little , miscommunication on the front end. Got there late and had no code to get in but got it worked out.. would stay there again.👍

Cute little cabin

Over all the cabin was great. Everything was clean and everything we needed was provided. There were lots of nice personal touches by property owner. Bunk beds are in a closet type room off of the main room. Would be ok for small children but the top bunk is really close to the ceiling so not suitable for an older child. Our party was two adult couples so one had the main bed room and the other the sofa bed which was broken but we made due. The cabin is on a main road so if you’re a light sleeper you may hear vehicles traveling in the night but it was not bothersome to us at all. The back deck was great. Had a propane grill to cook on with a view of the yard and woods. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Nice place, some minor issues

We thought the property was a little crowded for us. The bunk room was like a closet off the main bedroom. Would be good for smaller kids, but kinda cramped for bigger ones. Also listing said sleeps 8 listed as bedroom, bunk room, and sleeper sofa and a futon. There wasnt a futon. The listing said sleeps 8. We had 6 and my son slept in the floor. Coffee pot, stove and grill were all dirty, and there were sour tarts under the kids bed. The decoration was cute, the washer and dryer was nice. We enjoyed the back porch. The price was very affordable. The neighborhood was cute and felt safe. Checkin was simple. Kitchen was sufficient to cook in and have items in fridge.

Rest & Relaxation

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting this home! The home was clean, and had several personal touches from the owner, that made our stay amazing. We personally loved the back porch area, as it was quiet and so peaceful. We hope to visit again in the future! :)

Cozy, quiet and cute

Laura's cottage was an adorable place with everything we needed for a much needed getaway. The mattress was very comfortable. We slept well. The cottage was right on the road, but the town of Guion is so small that there was no real traffic to bother us. Though it rained while we were there, we could have coffee on the covered front porch in the mornings. The back yard was private and we enjoyed the deck. The White River is close by. Mountain View is the closest town to get groceries. It's about 14 miles away. The next time we come we will be riding our motorcycle so we can ride the awesome roads in this area!
