It was very relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay. It was so close to everything. Even the dogs loved their walks there. The house had about everything we needed. Used the deck and grill a few times.

Older home, nicely equipped. We stayed here while on golf trip. Meet our needs perfectly. We don't cook even though house is set up where you could. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. Bathrooms are updated and had plenty of linens for the 4 of us.

A welcoming space in a most convenient location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed out stay at this cottage during the first half of January. The floor plan provided plenty of elbow room for different activities. There is great natural light and comfortable warmth during chilly January nights. The backyard was private and the street was quiet. An easy bike ride brought you to so many wonderful places and resources. St. Simon's meets our criteria for plenty to see and do but still far away from mainstream hustle and bustle. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of linens and towels, and TV, washer/dryer/ dishwasher were all good. We were very pleased with the owner's responsiveness to anything we needed. When one of the bikes and the charcoal grill needed repair, we were invited to go out a buy new ones for which we were promptly reimbursed. My only wishes were for a more complete selection of kitchen housewares and supplies and perhaps more artwork to enhance the decor. But for the very reasonable price, we were quite satisfied.

Nice Location

  • 2 of 5

First I would like to say Heather was a pleasure to work with. The location is perfect and we loved the bikes and enjoyed the new Weber charcoal bbq. The house itself could use some TLC, the furniture is very dated , the bathrooms need upgrading, and the cutlery was very old. The interior also needs to be painted but it was clean and tidy. At the end of the day we would have preferred something a little nicer.

visitors from Florida

  • 4 of 5

We planned a 2 night visit with my elderly parents and our 16 y/o host student. Our family had owned vacation homes there for years so it was nice going back to SSI. The little ole house is charming though some furnishings are tired. I think for the rental fee it was acceptable and we were comfortable.

You can easily walk to the pier area from the house and the bikes were a fun addition.

For my mom the front steps a bit hard to get up and down but with help she was ok. A railing would be nice to install in the future if possible.

Sharper knives also would be helpful.

Cute Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This is a great little cottage in a quiet neighborhood. It is older but very clean. Comfortable beds. We didn't cook or anything so I don't know how well stocked it was but the house was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the bikes Sat morning! Would definitely stay here again.
