The Contentment Cottage was fully renovated and an addition completed in January 2023. Come enjoy the newly renovated spaces and create lasting memories. Guests will experience a restful retreat with vaulted ceilings throughout the home, lots of natural light, hardwood floors, spacious and well equipped kitchen and entertaining area, 2 covered porches, NEW fire pit installed in private backyard. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood that is a short walk to Mallery Park, Village and the SSI Pier. FLETC Welcome & month long renters welcome- contact owner for discounts.

Enjoyable stay…AGAIN!

2nd time we’ve stayed here and the quality of the home is top notch and has more accessories & amenities than you could ever need for your stay. Back porch is perfect for any time of day but especially the mornings and evenings. Location is beyond convenient.

Perfect 20th Anniversary Trip

Planned a long weekend getaway for the hubby and kids to celebrate the end-of-school, Memorial Day, and our 20th wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated, and convenient to everything we wanted to do this weekend. Overall, it was perfect! Thank you so much for a wonderful mini-vacation!!

Beautiful Cottage

The pictures are on point! Great layout, well appointed and clean. Christan is a great host! We highly recommend especially if you have children the kids loved the double bunk bed bedroom.

Summer Paradise

We had a great time in St. Simons. Contentment Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. It is exactly as it is listed. It was clean, completely updated and in a great location. We will definitely be a return guest!

Beautiful home in perfect location

We had a wonderful stay here and the house was perfect. It had everything we needed and more. We would defiantly book here again. It was quiet and the neighbors were kind. We brought our bikes and with the location we could get everywhere quickly.

Wonderful new home in a quiet setting

We very much enjoyed the stay at this well appointed property. Property is centrally located to the attractions. All of the appliances were top notch and many amenities were above and beyond other homes we have stayed in. Great communication from the owner. Will keep this property on our list to visit again.

Great Location/Awesome living space

We’ve been coming to St Simons for years and this is by far the nicest place we’ve stayed in and the best location. The home has been remodeled and is like new. We brought our golf car and were able to get to the Village in 5 minutes driving on quite neighborhood roads. We definitely plan to stay again.

Beautiful and comfortable house close to the water

Our family of 8 spent three nights at this property and loved it. The house is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and all the little things you might need are provided (dish washer pods, extra tp, etc). The check in process was effortless and check out requires very little work. We’d stay here again happily.

First time for everything

My wife and I have been come down here with our own families for over 20 years and we met and got married and this is our first time in SSI with each other and our soon to be daughter. This house was very accommodating to us and our friends/family. Christian was great and we can’t wait to be back next year with a new addition!

Great Stay!

We booked Christian’s place very last minute for Christmas because of a late change of plans. I was a little stressed out finding a nice place so close to Christmas, and we couldn’t have been happier to come across Christian’s place. The home was very clean and comfortable, and Christian was very responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend!

Well designed home

We stayed at this house with three people who have never been to Saint Simons. The house was comfortable and well equipped and very clean. We had two good cooks, and they really enjoyed the big kitchen.

Great Family Vacation @ SSI

Just as advertised online. Clean, tastefully and professionally decorated. Ample elbow room for our family. Good bedding in the Master. Nice back porch. And the owner was highly responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend this place.

Extremely Comfortable

Everything is brand new, large open floorplan, all the accessories you could possibly need, big yard (for St. Simon’s), great location…my children really enjoyed it…I’m on the island twice a month during the fall, winter & spring and this will be my “Go To” property every time!

More beautiful in person!

This house looks beautiful in the pictures but even more so in person. With a family of 6 I was really excited for the bunk beds and large table for meals. They both accommodated us perfectly. The location is excellent as well - a quick drive to the pier, public beaches, playgrounds, restaurants and shops. We also really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood.

Wonderful Retreat in St Simons Island

I absolutely loved my stay at this lovely home. I was traveling solo four kids and this was the perfect little home. The renovation on the place was absolutely lovely. I was a quick ride into town (either by bike or by car). The house itself was super well stocked with games and toys for the kids, plenty of kitchen supplies and some super soft beach towels. They even had a cooler there if you needed one for the beach. I can't wait to come back!

It was the perfect place to discover St. Simons island!

Christian has made a beautiful home away from home for travelers. The house had everything from comfortable beds to a fully equipped modern kitchen. The living room was cozy and a great place to crash after the walk to the pier and to town. Location couldn't be any better, quiet at night but close to everything you might want in the island. We rented bikes for three days and were amazed that it was only 35 dollars per person, delivered and picked up (Zoom)! Bike paths are prevalent all through town. Coffee in the morning on the sunny private deck was a great way to start the day. We originally booked four nights but were able to add one more night. Thank you Christian for your quick responses when needed and for all the helpful tips! It was a wonderful vacation!

Nice and Roomy

We enjoyed our stay at the contentment cottage. It's a nice newly remodeled house in a quiet neighborhood. It has a well stocked kitchen and lots of room to spread out. It took us less than 5 minutes to ride our bikes to the pier/village. It also has a nice private deck/porch and backyard which was great to secure our bikes. While we didn't have teenagers with us I thought the bunkbed room was really well designed. There were recessed cubbies with electrical outlets above each bunk bed to be used for electronics and personal item storage. Check-in was easy and so was communication with the owner. I would stay there again. FYI - there is a traffic "rush-hour" coming from the North end of the island, so it's better to visit Fort Frederica and Christ Church before late afternoon. Fort Frederica is a National Monument and surprisingly admission is now free. Spotted a bald eagle at Gascoigne Bluff.

Winter getaway

This cottage is a very attractive and comfortably clean place to stay. It has very recent renovations which make the house appear brand new. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen was very nice but the “blender” is a hand held mixer which didn’t work for us. There were no sauce pans but only sauté/frying pans and a large soup pot or maybe lobster pot.Toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen trash liners were in short supply for our two week stay. My understanding for those things in the list of essentials/amenities means those things should be supplied for the entire stay . There was only one hair dryer and , perhaps, should be one for each of the two bathrooms. There should be more details on the use of the televisions especially if the guests are not familiar with ROKU or doesn’t have a pin# for accessing ROKU. None of these critiques are deal killers but would clarify what is listed in the essentials/amenities. All in all, we would stay here again, as I said before none of the issues would be a “deal breaker”!
