The host was extremely welcoming and kind to us. We spent a week here and loved our stay. We are so grateful to have been able to stay here with Kim and Todd.
This was a very cute and accessible spot! We loved how comfortable the place was, the decor was perfect, and we enjoyed the easy access to surrounding areas. I had a service dog with me and the host was incredibly accommodating. We had a lovely time and look forward to staying here again!

Absolutely loved staying in this historic apartment! The hosts are incredibly friendly and the area is very walkable with local food and shops within a quarter to half mile. Such a great experience here, can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to stay again!
The room was very clean. Host was very friendly. Shops and restaurants were in walking distance. They have a shed to put your bikes in. The bike/ walking trail is just down the hill by the train tracks. It was a level easy 5 mile bike ride to Harper’s Ferry. I highly recommend staying here you get to enjoy the town and venture out to enjoy Hapers Ferry as well.
Wanted to explore Harper’s ferry and this location was very convenient. Plenty of places to eat in the area. Our space was super cute and cozy, clean and exactly as described. Hoping to return soon.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Kim and Todd think of everything, I don’t think I have enough room to name all the great things: the kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook, bake, and eat meals around the table. I really appreciated the coffee station. The place is so nicely furnished and decorated; even the outside was so whimsical and decorated for Christmas! The beautiful, historic building has all the modern upgrades to make the stay comfortable (climate control, drinking water system, Smart TV). When returning to the area, I will always choose one of Kim and Todd’s places!!
We have family in Brunswick and will need to visit regularly. We booked this spot in hopes it would do for our reoccurring trips to the area and it did not disappoint. We could not have imagined a more perfect sanctuary for us. We are already looking forward to our next stay. So grateful.
Super cool spot right in the middle of town. Very roomy and clean. Kim is an awesome host and was very engaged during the whole process. Try the Potomac Street Grill across the street. Great food.
We absolutely loved the rental- the location, the cool vibe, the amenities, and the comfortable bed! Only suggestion is to get light blocking curtains in bedroom.
We stayed in the bottom floor of this amazing historic home. Beautifully remodeled with the old charming architectural features in-tact, we had plenty of space and were extremely comfortable. The bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom had everything we needed. The murphy bed in the living room was also comfortable. Bring ear plugs/white noise for the train and possible renters coming down the stairs from the unit above.
My husband and I were biking the C&O towpath and spent a night in this beautiful rental. We were able to store our bikes on sight. The kitchen and bathroom were so nicely updated. It was nice to be able to walk around town and we had a wonderful dinner right across the street.
Everything was beautiful and historic. Beautiful and very comfortable king size bed. We went around the corner to the Boxcar for dinner. Great simple meal with awesome service. The shower in this place is very small but clean. The trains can be heard in the night but not something that keeps you from sleeping. We would stay here again!
We really enjoyed staying here. Fun little town to visit. Very close to the C&O Canal. We did some hiking but I want to come back again to bike along the trail.
Just a note: in the bedroom there is a staircase above and you can hear people walking on it. But, we didn't notice after we went to sleep so not a problem.
Kim's apartment is mere steps from the C&O Canal, which is great but hardly the only reason for renting. This renovated unit in a historic building & district is roomy, quiet, well equipped and has updated furnishings since the attached pictures were taken. Others have mentioned the unit's proximity to dining and convenience stores, but I loved that there was not a single negative to the stay. I rate it an 11 out of 10 if such is allowed!. Kudos, Kim.
We enjoyed our stay in this unique first floor unit. Kim and company were fine and friendly hosts.
The unit was well stocked with nice supplies, and we could tell that thought was put into the furnishing and renovations. There was also an interesting collection of solid old furniture that added to the character of the place.
I don't know what sort of sheets they put on the bed, but they were *so* comfortable!
One downside was the lack of sound-proofing. Noise definitely carried from people moving around in the (enclosed) staircase in the bedroom.
We also happened to time our stay during the town Halloween party which just so happened to be on the same street! This made for a line of people around the corner of the building and a very noisy two hours one evening, but things quieted quickly once the festivities officially ended.
Overall, it was a great place to stay.
Super cute place. Here’s a list of some things you should keep in mind if you want to book here, the positives first, it’s walking distance to some restaurants and shops, the building is adorable and has a lot of character, the host stays on site in one of the other apartments so if you need something it shouldn’t be difficult to get, the bed is comfy, there’s off-street parking, the water filter/cooler in the kitchen is a very thoughtful touch. Some things that could be negative depending on what you’re looking for, the trains are loud, they will wake you if you’re a light sleeper, the stairway to access the other units is closed in but shares a wall with the bedroom of this unit, it’s loud when people walk through, the bedroom is on the front of the house right by the street, it’s loud when cars go by, the porch out front is a shared entrance space and is also a noise concern, I didn’t get much sleep while I was here because of all the noises but I’m a light sleeper. My husband didn’t have any issues with the noise levels. The shower ran out of hot water very quickly all three days. I had to rush through my showers to make sure I had hot water. All in all I enjoyed my stay, but probably wouldn’t stay in this unit again. I just didn’t get enough sleep because of the noise levels and spent most of the trip very tired.
