Charming Beach Bungalow in the Heart of it All

A gorgeous renovation to a charming beach cottage! Enjoy beach living at beautiful Oak Island with all the amenities.
The natural light from the sliding glass door entry shows off the LVP flooring, vaulted ceilings, a gorgeous kitchen with tiled backsplash and a tiled tub/shower combo! Enjoy breakfast on the oversized front deck, then unwind and make memories around the private fire pit in the back yard at night.
And did we mention the location? You'll be right in the middle of everything! Direct beach access (.8 miles, 10 minute walk), close to Publix, the splash pad at Middleton Park, and just 3 blocks from the Oak Island Nature Center.
We're beach bums ourselves so every detail has been thought of: linens, beach chairs, bicycle cruisers and boogie boards are included at no cost. We also offer a golf cart to rent with free parking included.
Love to fish? Bring your boat, there is plenty of parking!

Quiet and Wonderful Oasis

A great place to getaway and relax. Far enough away from the popular tourist attractions but easily accessible by golf cart/car. The ride to the beach was super convenient as well. Very clean place and comfortable. The owners are very approachable and willing to help if anything comes up.Truly enjoyed our stay.

Restful vacation

We enjoyed our week at Lottie’s place! It was a perfect location and lovely home. The available beach supplies in the shed and the outdoor shower to use to get off all the sand were wonderfully helpful! We appreciate the host’s kindness and quick replies as well! Thanks again! We would definitely stay here again :)

Excellent!

The owner was so kind. We loved our stay. The home was comfy and the front porch was great for coffee in the am. We also rented his cart and it was the best way to get around the island. We plan to go back in October for fishing. Highly recommend.

Excellent Stay

We loved our stay at this cozy rental. Super close to grocery stores and local eateries. I've personally been coming to the island since 1990, and this rental was definitely among my favorites. Location was in a super quiet, low traffic area. It has a nice little fire pit with some Adirondack chairs for socials in a decent sized backyard for letting your dog out should you bring your pet with you. Really appreciated the little resources such as k-cups, tp and paper towels. Little things like that make getting there from a long trip more welcoming. The renters' communication was excellent - near immediate which was perfect considering we left an item behind and had to send a family member by to pick up (renter was also super accommodating of this). Lastly, the mattresses. By far the most comfortable mattress we have slept on in our lives. We slept way later than we usually do a couple mornings, and that says something to us considering our personal bed is a Serta. I actually meant to check what brand it was but we had to leave a day short unexpectedly. Overall, a very pleasurable stay, and we plan to return!

Beach cottage

The interior of the house is very nice. One main living room, dining and kitchen area with 2 bedrooms in the back. Perfect size for 4 people and 1 dog. The host was very nice and very prompt getting back to us when we had questions. Straight shot down to the beach about a 15-20 minute walk ( the host indicated it’d be shorter) that’s why I gave 4 stars for listing accuracy. Having the 2 bikes to ride was great as well as the boogie boards. There is one busy 2 lane road to cross to get to the beach. The Point beach about 20 minutes west ( by car) was nice and less crowded in the mid morning than the beach closest to the house. Publix and Food King are conveniently located close to the neighborhood. It was nice to be able to adjust the a/c in each bedroom and living room separately. A few dust bunnies found under the sofa table and in the kitchen but overall was clean. It was great to have our dog along that was a big plus for us. The backyard isn’t fenced in but it worked. Southport is very nice to visit and just a short 25 minute drive. Note you do need to bring all your toiletries including body soap, shampoo etc and beach towels and umbrella. My family and I were very pleased with our stay.

Nice quiet neighborhood!

My husband and I wanted to get away for the holiday weekend. Lottie’s place was quaint and comfortable. We were close to the nature trail, intracoastal waterway and a few blocks from Publix. We did not need to contact Phil as his instructions were concise and complete. We enjoyed our stay!

Vacation for the Walk

We like the location of the home. It is close to everything on the island. The house is nicely decorated and match the pics. It was handy having the high speed internet for work and the tv selections for the family. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We loved the island and the beautiful weather.

Cozy beach bungalow on Oak Island

We had a fantastic vacation at this cozy and quaint beach bungalow very close to the intercoastal waterway on Oak Island. Was able to launch my boat six blocks away. Very convenient access to everything in the area. This old house from the late sixties was very nostalgic and all the updates to the interior was very well done ... comfortable, clean and relaxing. Will definitely go back again.

Perfect Beach House!

This was our first time staying at Lottie’s Place but we seriously hope it won’t be our last! The house itself is pretty unique, the sliding doors both in front and back let the sunshine flow through to brighten up every day. The colors used and the decor makes it a perfect beach house. The attention to details in the home accents and the personal touches included make you feel right at home. Accessories for sunny days are provided as well as for rainy days or evenings indoors. With the two bedrooms it is perfect for a small group of friends or family and the pull out couch adds an extra sleeping accommodations if needed. We have been vacationing on Oak Island for 17 years and this is clearly one of our favorite homes. The neighbors are great, very friendly and helpful and were a pleasure. The firepit was a nice touch and the setting very serene. The owners were easy to work with and very accomodating. We look forward to our next trip

Perfect vacay stay

Definitely a hidden gem that was well worth the stay. Away from the hustle, but close enough to all. The house was very family friendly. I believe we spent as much time sitting outside as inside, even in the heat of the day. Our girls loved having the bikes to ride. So glad we had the opportunity to stay here!!

The house is lovely. The front porch is nice. I appreciated the long hose when it came to washing off the dogs. There isn’t space to set things down in the bedrooms and only a tiny bit of drawer. The backyard needs a bit of work.

Great vacation home

We had a great stay at this property. Location was great, in a quiet area, and a short distance to the beach. We loved the accessibility of groceries/restaurants close by. We had two complaints/things of interest upon arrival but contacted Phil and he was quick to address/help us through it. Overall great stay and enjoyed the area. Would visit Oak Island and stay here again. Thanks!

Perfectly located, quite private (as compared to most other beach rentals), and just the right size for us. Property owner is wonderful, very attentive and responsive. Check in and out was a breeze. We would DEFINITELY select this property again.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our time at Lottie’s Place. The location is ideal and we enjoyed our walks to the beach, the playground and the nature park (on the intercostal). Our dogs loved being included in these activities and we are always appreciative when they can join us on vacation. Phil was excellent at communicating and checking in and out was a breeze. The house has wonderful natural light and a fun, beach vibe.
