Lemon Lift, house on the shores of Lake Lemon near Bloomington and Nashville IN.
This old lake house sits on a hill at lakefront overlooking the greatest expanse of the lake from the living room and upper deck. It’s a short 11 mile drive to both Bloomington and Nashville Indiana. Bring your boat or use our kayaks at the house. Most of all bring your dog, we love dogs. There is a shared dock. We keep a boat there and occasionally come to use it. There is room for a boat on the other side of the dock.

Our stay was amazing and everything we could have wished for for our first airbnb. The host was very nice and kind and there was so many things to do.The lake house had all the amenities we needed.Plenty of area, beds and rooms for me and my family to vacation and sleep. We couldnt be happier overall with the lakehouse and experience.5 out of 5 and we look forward to making this a vacation spot every year.
This is a welcoming place for kids and dogs. We took our 3 grandsons who spent most of their time in the water, swimming and kayaking. At the end of the day we made s'mores in the fire pit and the boys had baths in the jetted tub. We watched a beautiful sunset from the wraparound deck. A fun, comfortable weekend.
We were looking for a last minute spot to get away from the city for the 4th of july weekend. The Lemon Lift cottage was perfect for a few nights. The upper deck was perfect for watching the fireworks and the dogs loved swimming off the dock. The house itself was old and has seen some days, but it's all you need for a weekend. Bring Off and yard fogger. The ticks were pretty bad.Check in was easy and the host was so sweet. She came by to welcome us and make sure we had eveything we need. The rental comes with use of a kayak and there's a charcoal grill on the lower patio.
My sister lives in Illinois and I live in Ohio, so we met in Indiana. We loved the porch, all of the windows overlooking the lake, and the overall brightness of the house. We weren’t interested in shopping, wineries or nightlife, so can’t speak to those things in the area but it was a perfect place to hang out and catch up. Very relaxing!
My best friend from high school and I stayed the weekend and it was great! The owner popped in on Saturday and we had a wonderful chat She was very welcoming to me, my friend and my dog. Check in and check out were both easy-peasy. Lakefront location was excellent and accommodations were cozy, homey and super inviting. Would definitely rent again!
The scene was very peaceful and tranquil at the Lemon Lift! The host was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had! Will definitely stay again.
Enjoyed the excellent lake view, and convenience of the location. The place has a happy character. Kitchen and bath are good. The neighborhood is chill. Had a good stay!
Very relaxing, perfect little space of paradise. My husband and I spent Thanksgiving ‘23 there with our 4 fur kids. They loved the space as much as we did. Owner was super nice and very responsive if we needed anything. Already trying to plan our next getaway

Just okay
Location is great. The yard was covered in hickory nuts making it hard to walk. Plus, my car was damaged from the falling nuts, nowhere else to park but under the tree. The kitchen only had small sauce pans, and one small skillet-Had to go to town to buy a pot to cook dinner for my family. Only one roll of toilet paper for three days days
Grateful that the price was not jacked up for the eclipse weekend like so many others. Overall the place is great. Just know that there is no dishwasher and that the previous tenants many not have been great dishwashers.
My family stayed here for the weekend and loved it. Much better than we expected because I didn't realize there was outdoor furniture. The upper deck was beautiful in the morning. We spent our time swimming and floating. The firepit was nice also. We will definitely return. Thank you, Sura, for making us feel welcome!!
First I knew from pictures it was a bit outdated but we thought no big deal . We felt the few glasses that were there didn’t seem to be very clean, so we just washed before use, but we were sitting on patio enjoying our selves and what do you know the owner popped in and her first comments were wow been here several times and you all haven’t been here . And I was like ok but why was she checking in made small talk for a bit just thought it was a bit off I have never had the owner just pop in on us , if your planning on cooking at all might want to take a large skillet for cooking pots and pans are far and few to cook for 4 ,for she was nice about the tray that slipped out of microwave on me and shattered she didn’t charge . For the price I felt it was a bit overpriced for it could use a lot of tlc we all felt like we paid so we could dock our boat

We will not be back
We arrived on Wednesday and the property was cluttered at the side entrance. There were dirty wash clothes in the tub and the kitchen sink. The floors did not look like they had been swept. When we were ready to leave for dinner we called the owner to ask where a key was to lock the door and she acted like it was a weird request and reported she does not lock the doors but there was a key there. She would not tell me the location of the key. Luckily we found it. The next day, the owner showed up unannounced. She did not state her name but rather stood in the living room making small talk about the dogs and then she left. The following day we cleaned the home and left. Once I made it back home I realized I forgot my computer charger. I sent the owner a text asking if she had seen one and she said no but there were other people checked in. The following day she sent me a picture of my computer charger laying on a dirty floor. I asked if she would mail it to me and I would pay her for shipping. She acted like this was not a possibility and joked that I could make another 2 hour trip down there and stay and at that time pick up my charger. I basically told her to forget it and I would drive 2 hours the following day to pick it up. On top of all of this, this was not the original house we wanted. She moved us and reported it was because this house was more kid friendly… my kids are almost 13. They didn’t need toys. There was a reason I chose the other house over this one . We will not be back.
Came with my hubby and dog. The view is beautiful. My family lives nearby and we were doing a burial ceremony for my father who passed a year ago. It was the perfect place to gather and grill while the kids swam and kayaked. Would definitely stay again
I booked a last minute stay at the lake house to spend the weekend with family when I was back home visiting. It was a fabulous decision - a secluded slice of Lake Lemon. We loved our stay and plan to return as many times as possible.
It was 20 minutes from downtown Nashville/Brown County, great location & lots of back roads. The majority of our time was spent outside on the the wrap around deck with rocking chairs that looks out onto the lake with a dock. The lower deck has kayaks, a hammock, & seating with plenty of opportunities to spend quality time. If you need a pet-friendly or family friendly getaway I absolutely recommend this place. My dogs loved running around the yard & hanging out with us in the cabin.
Sura was extremely nice and accommodating. I did lock myself out by accident & she was more than kind and helpful. I would add the GPS was trying to take me down the road it took me some time to find the house because it's technically on Shore Club Drive so at first it was a little hard to find but once I did, I didn't want to leave. Thank you, Sura!
This property is perfectly located for outings to Nashville and/or Bloomington. Our dogs absolutely loved it there. This is a clean, well-maintained property that we look forward to returning to in the future!
Delightful, quaint, and old fashioned Lake House. Very clean and very charming. Everything anyone could need was there and in good working order. The porch was huge, the fire pit was fun, and the sunrises/sunsets were breathtaking. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would gladly stay there again. My two Westies loved being welcomed with us.
