Joglo in Jungle - 10 min to Ubud

We are Petra and Andreas from Germany. We fell in love with Bali and in particular the Ubud area once we worked and lived some years in Asia and travelled a lot around. We started our property project in 2017 and built the houses together with our manager Gusti. We planned them as we would like to life in them ourselves. We integrated the houses into nature as we love the tropical environment and wanted to have it as a part of our architectural concept.

On our property there are three guest buildings:

-Two Joglo, Joglo 1 and Joglo 2 to make it simple. Each Joglo, about 110 sqm, can be rented individually. Maximum occupancy is 4 people. You will find one king size bed 2x2 m, a single day bed and, if needed, an additional 1x2 m bed. Each bed has a mosquito net. The Joglos have a big master room with a large indoor bath area There is an outdoor shower and bath area, and for Joglo 2 also a bathtub. You will find plenty of shelves, enough for your luggage, and a small kitchenette with stove and fridge. The Joglos are naturally ventilated, additionally you can use the ceiling mounted fans. We do not have A/C since we believe it is not needed in Ubud area once you have a naturally vented house.
Joglo 3 is smaller, about 50 sqm. Maximum Occupancy is 3 people. It has a queen size bed and, if requested, we move in another daybed for the third person.

- Our joglos are fully serviced. Upon your wish daily change of towels and bedlinen every three days are included. (For long term stay, slightly different conditions will apply.) Wifi speed is 50 MB/s. We offer a choice of breakfast. Please check our menu or ask Gusti or Kadek for selection and price the night before, especially if you want to get up early. On request we also offer little snacks during the day like fruits, salad or sate. Soft drinks, fresh juices, beer are available at any time. Please check it out on the menu. On a couple of hours notice we are happy to prepare you lunch or dinner and serve it either in your joglo or in the main house. There will always somebody be around. And we have our wonderful night guard Wayan.
Now, here is the Caveat: We built on these grounds with nature in mind. There is no AC as it is not necessary in the hills above Ubud. We have fans. Above the fully glassed sliding doors/windows there is an open space to let natural circulation cool the rooms. Therefore, you will hear nature. You will hear so many different birds, crickets, geckos, frogs, and, if you're lucky, Alu (the smaller version of the Comodo Waran, they don't do you harm, they run). But: You will see the sunrise. And I promise you, there is nothing more beautiful than that.

-The main house has a fully equipped kitchen, which you can use or we organise life cooking for you. There is a big dining table, enough space for 10 people. You can use the lounge, relax there, have a drink and watch you kids playing in the pool. The main house, as the pool, is available for all guests, Joglo 1, 2 and Joglo 3. There is always somebody from our team around who can serve drinks, food or support in any other way.

The pool has a swimming area of 15x4 m and a depth of about 1,6 m. There is a very flat kids’ pool area as well. Kids (or adults:) ) can sit and play there.
