Nueva casa de un dormitorio en la orilla del agua en el lago St. Catalina con kayaks

Refugio privado del arquitecto construyó en 2008 con el plan de piso abierto y una pared de ventanas con vistas al lago. La primera sala de estar piso tiene suelos de arce y un techo de vigas expuestas. Sofá de cuero y sillas en la sala de estar con el nuevo HD, pantalla plana LCD, reproductor de Blu Ray DVD, servicio de internet inalámbrico y reproductor de CD. La cocina tiene gabinetes de aliso nudoso, encimeras de granito con una estufa de gas, horno microondas, lavavajillas y todos los electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable. Cocina bien equipada con una chimenea de gas de Vermont Castings para quitar el frío de las noches frescas. Baño de la primera planta tiene una ducha de azulejos (sin bañera). Una escalera de caracol conduce al dormitorio tipo loft con techo, tragaluces y ventilador de techo sobre la cama de matrimonio. Armarios de pino construidos y paneles con paneles de cuentas de pino. TV por cable con pantalla plana LED con reproductor de DVD. Disfrute del aire libre desde el patio de piedra azul o el muelle de cedro y aluminio con una escalera de baño. Dos kayaks se proporcionan para uso de los huéspedes. Parrilla de gas en el patio. Ocupación limitada a dos personas en todo momento. Aparcamiento limitado a un vehículo. Lugar tranquilo en la costa noroeste en Ferncliff Road.
Esta cabaña está tan cerca del agua que te sientes como si estuvieras en una casa flotante. Situado en la parte más ancha de la bahía norte de Lake St. Catalina hay grandes vistas hacia el sur.

Nice cottage directly on the lake, exactly as depicted in the listing. The lake was gorgeous. Lots to do in the area, hiking, biking, orchards and farmstands and lake activities.

We had a great time at this cottage! It was a perfect retreat for my wife and I. While it is on the smaller side, we had everything we needed! The view of the lake is AMAZING both from inside the house or on the dock. Lots of amenities like kayaks which are easily accessible. The communication with the host was perfect - she was quick to respond to any questions that I had. Highly recommend this home for anyone who is considering it!

The location, accommodations, & check-in were wonderful. We loved sitting on the dock in the morning with a cup of coffee, listening to the loons bringing in the day, and in the evenings with a glass of wine watching the sun set over the tranquil water. Extremely relaxing and private. The owners were wonderful and very responsive. Perfect layout inside and out while being cozy and comfortable for 2. Great dock for relaxing on or docking your boat with almost 4’ depth at the end of the dock with a gradual dropoff. Great for swimming, tubing and fishing. We caught 4 species of fish with luck every day. We highly recommended and would definitely consider visiting again.

My husband had a wonderful time on Lake St. Catherine. The cottage has everything you need. Even if you're sitting inside you can hear the crash of the waves. It was breathtaking.

Lakeside Retreat

This peaceful cottage at the water’s edge exceeded our expectations! Access to the lake is only steps away and we fully enjoyed all the outdoor spaces. The dock was perfect for morning coffee and lounging in between swimming and kayaking. The patio was handy for meals and organizing biking excursions. We prepared snacks and meals in the well stocked kitchen and appreciated the lake views from the open dining/living room areas. Being in a serene atmosphere surrounded by nature was just what we needed to relax and rejuvenate. We highly recommend this place and plan on returning!

Ideal small cottage for a lake vacation

I stayed at the cottage for a week in August, as a base for visiting family and friends, hiking, and relaxing by the lake. The cottage was exactly as described--pretty, well-designed, and comfortable--at a beautiful and quiet location right on the lake. Linda was quite responsive. Awesome lake house at the water's edge.

My husband & I had a perfect week just chilling out in Lake St. Catherine & watching the Olympics. This home is small but very beautiful & well-appointed. My husband fished from the dock catching (& releasing) a northern pike & bass. We waded into the lake daily from the stony shore & spent hours just bobbing in the water-it was wonderful! We cooked all of our meals there finding everything we needed in the kitchen. The multipurpose oven was new for us but performed nicely. We originally hesitated to come due to the spiral stair & only 1 bathroom. We are in our late 60's but found the narrow stairway surprisingly secure to navigate. One suggestion for anyone who may be a light-sensitive sleeper is to bring a sleep mask. The many windows & skylight keep this home light & bright. We had a couple hot days but the fans kept us comfortable. We tried the kayaks but they were too small for my 6' husband to use, so we we mostly enjoyed the swimming. On our 1 rainy day we enjoyed the TV, a puzzle, & reading. It was really a wonderful relaxing week! The host is very communicative & attentive. The instructions for the house are well-developed, comprehensive, & clear. The neighborhood is quiet, the lake is gorgeous, & we wish we were still there!

Leaning Cedars Lake Cottage Getaway

Once again (4th time renters), my husband and I had a relaxing stay at this cottage. It’s perfect for a couples getaway. The cottage is exactly as described but better. Lots of natural light because of all the windows and although no air conditioning, we never felt like it was too warm, and we’ve been there during heatwaves with high humidity. The kitchen, though small has everything you need. There’s even spices, olive oil and balsamic vinegar so it’s pretty easy to do your own cooking. The one large bedroom is a spiral staircase, so if you have difficulty with stairs this may not be for you, but we didn’t mind it a bit. The hardest part is getting the suitcase up and down, but otherwise no issues. The dock is great, getting morning sun but nice and shady in the afternoon. We loved kayaking in the early morning when the lake was oh so still and quiet. The floating loungers were great to relax on the water and cool down. We saw ducks, geese, herons and a bald eagle, so lots of nature to see. I’m sure we’ll be back again. P.S. My husband thinks the cottage needs a name like many of the others around the lake, so he’s decided to call it Leaning Cedars Cottage, hence the description of this review.

Total relaxation

This home was fantastic. You are literally right on the water. Quite peaceful and very relaxing. Fantastic place for two people to enjoy. Great area to explore and nice local restaurants. The kayaks are a definite plus. The owner is very quick to respond and answer any and all questions. You can find no better place to sit and look at the lake and watch the boats. Another plus was all the neighbors we met were very friendly and had great suggestions on places to see. We will definitely return to unwind and recharge.

Poultney lake front cottage

We rented this wonderful waterfront cottage for our annual fall Vermont visit. The location is hard to describe in words since it sits right on the water and you get incredible views from every where. You wake up and see incredible sunrise and you go to bed seeing a sky lit with stars everywhere and its reflection on the water. The cottage is equipped with everything you would need and it feels very homy and cozy. We loved hiking and biking and had an amazing week . Will definitely recommend to our family and friends

Beautiful and peaceful vacation

We were able to spend 5 nights at Linda's lovely lake front home. It's well appointed, clean and thoughtfully planned out. The views of the lake from all the windows plus the Oct Fall foliage in VT were spectacular and an added bonus. Quiet street in a quaint VT town with friendly people we met along the way. Day trips to Manchester VT and Saratoga Springs NY just an hour away. Great vacation to rest, relax and recharge. Don't hesitate to book Linda's beautiful cottage for a peaceful time away from your busy lives.

Lake St. Catherine is a beautiful lake and the surrounding area has so much to offer in terms of outdoor activities. We are avid skiers and love to play golf, hike in the woods and mountains and take long bike rides. The nearby Slate Valley Trails provide a wide variety of mountain biking/ hiking trails. Lake St. Catherine is the perfect environment for us.
