About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 14)

You really have to see these amazing views! Breathtaking sunrises spring over the Majestic Flatiron Mountains every morning, as seen from this 4000 sf, gorgeous, modern house peering at mountains AND VALLEYS from 8,400 ft high. Located up super-scenic Coal Creek Canyon, it is IDEALLY SITUATED WITHIN 30 MINUTES of the Front Range's best towns (Boulder, Golden, Nederland) as well as All Mountain Activities (Skiing, Hiking, Fishing, Rafting, Horses, Climbing). And only 45 min away is Downtown Denver, providing easy access to world-class activities and sports.

The interior of this large home is BRAND NEW from top to bottom, every appliance and piece of furniture. Although it was tragic when the pipes burst in 2016, we now have an even MORE AMAZING mountain house that complements the great location and amazing views. This is a home, but with the feel of a luxury hotel. Airy while Cozy, Bright while Romantic. We put a lot of thought into providing for your needs: fine linens, fluffy towels, full kitchen utensils, etc. Other great amenities include a BRAND NEW 14-Jet OUTDOOR HOT TUB, indoor Jacuzzi, 2-car garage, woodstove, vaulted ceilings, wood floors, Berber carpets, and two fully-stocked modern kitchens with gas ranges and dishwashers. BUT the Master Bathroom can compete with finest hotels with cool tiling and shower and Jacuzzi views from the sky onto the several mountains and valleys.

Our Favorite Things To Do AT the House: 1) Have cocktails at dusk on the Pub Table perched on the wrap-around deck 2) Saunter to the outdoor Hot Tub for a warm soak while the stars come out. 3) As the night deepens, enjoy a glass of wine indoors with Jacuzzi jets soothing your body OR use the double-headed shower while looking through the floor-to ceiling picture window overlooking mountain bliss. 4) Watch a Surround-Sound DVD in the Entertainment Room by the fireplace. 5) Catch a DirecTV game in the Fireside Living Room with a log in the woodstove. 6) Hide with your book on the Chaise Lounge in the Study. 6) Chill in the Sitting Room peering out of a wall-size window to spot wildlife (deer, elk, fox, hare, lynx) crossing the 2-acre lot. 7) Check email on WI-FI from anywhere in the house. 7) QUICKLY grab provisions at the convenience and liquor stores JUST 8 MINUTES AWAY (Very rare and much appreciated in the mountains). 8) Whip up large dinners using TWO kitchens. 9) Hang out at the picnic table on the Big Deck, listening to mountain stillness and breathing fresh air, and 10) Fall asleep in the MBR on a King-size Aspen Log Bed peering down onto Boulder’s twinkling nightlights.

This home is full of big sunlit windows and mountain-facing rooms providing that wide-open feeling (such as in the Great Room, Sitting Room, Big Deck, and 3 BRs) that closely connects you to mother nature and the mountain's grandeur. Yet the cleverly built house also provides several hidden nooks that offer lovely solitude.

AND the Property's unique layout actually makes it LIKE TWO PLACES IN ONE, perfect for large or multiple families, or for use by retreat and reunion groups. Although one unit, the great layout is extremely flexible, offering 2 separate living spaces with its 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 2 laundry rooms, & 2 entrances.

The upper two floors (sleeps 8) have 3BRs, 2BAs, K, LR, DR (Great Room), Den & Entrance. The lower level (sleeps 6) has a second MBR and a bunk room, full BA, LR, K, Sitting Room for nature watching & Entrance. An internal stairway connects them, making it ideal for being together when you want while having your own space.

Beyond the house's allure and nearby outdoor sporting options, local towns provide additional fun and activities. INEXPENSIVE SKIING is only 30 mins away at Eldora Resort. For beauty, charm, and culture, nearby Boulder (30 mins) is a lovely University town that takes only one visit to fall in love with. The food options and neat shops on Pearl Street Mall are endless. Nederland (25 mins) is an authentic mountain town with cute shops, interesting bars and real mountain people, a must-see for the "Mountain Experience." Golden (30 mins) provides tours of the world's largest Brewery (Coors) and a historic Western downtown with family restaurants, while Denver's sports and museums are world-class (45 min). Popular Western-style Gambling towns are 45 mins away, while Famous Red Rocks Amphitheater and the Heritage Square Amusement Park are within 30 minutes out. Challenging Indian Peaks Wilderness Area is 40 mins, WORLD-CLASS SUMMIT COUNTY SKIING is 45-60 mins, and Rocky Mountain Natl Park is 90 mins along the famous Peak-to-Peak Scenic Byway. Other nearby activities include some of the Front Range’s BEST HIKING, Buffalo Bill Cody’s grave/museum, Wineries, and lots more.

We've developed a comprehensive Visitors Guide to help point you the right way, including food, drink, activities and our local favorites.

Spacious Relaxation, Great for Groups

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this wonderful home in Coal Creek Canyon near Boulder for three nights in June, 2017. Our trip was a reunion of friends from college. There were nine adults in total. We had an excellent time. The house was very easy to find and all of the information we received before the trip was accurate. The house itself is extremely clean and well taken care of. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We did not do much cooking but the kitchen has everything you may need.

Sitting on the back deck in the late afternoon was very enjoyable with great views. Also, the hot tub was awesome.

The only thing I would say to caution folks is be sure to get groceries and everything else you need before you arrive to the house. This is clearly noted in the house documents you will receive before arriving but it's something to point out - the house is fairly remote in terms of a regular grocery store.

I would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect place for us to stay. A friend of mine is getting married and he wanted to explore the Boulder area while staying up in the mountains and getting in some skiing. The house more than comfortably accommodated 12 people given all of the places where you could gather and relax. If we had the option, we would've stayed forever :)

In the house you feel secluded and away from the noise of regular life. The views are amazing and you could easily spend a weekend doing nothing other than staying in the house and relaxing. However, if you do want to get out, it is easily done. We had a number of cars which were perfect for getting into town and when we wanted to enjoy some of the breweries in Nederland or get to Boulder for a night, we had no problem getting transportation from Ez Mountain Limo and Sunset Limo. Sunset Limo even picked us up in a stretch limo at the house on a Saturday night.

The sunlight in this house deserves it's own mention as it is amazing. My wife and I get up most days at 630 AM when our daughter busts into our room asking about whatever is on her two year old mind. Somewhat depressingly, I thought the best part of this trip would be sleeping but, I was wrong. The best part was waking up to a sun drenched room in the early morning to a perfect calm and peace and then watching the world wake up while enjoying coffee on the deck.

The owner is terrific as well. Staying in someone else's home you might feel a bit odd but, the owner made it easy as he made us feel at home.

I really just can't say enough good things about our stay.

Amazing Winter Wonderland for our Family Gatherings

  • 5 of 5

Our family has stayed in this beautiful mountain home for a weeklong holiday visit every year now for the last 3 years. One of our family members lives nearby, so it is the perfect location to accommodate the 10 of us family members (7 adults and 3 kids) who come from around the country to spend Christmas together. The house is spacious with bedrooms spread out between 3 floors, allowing for plenty of space for all of the couples and kids to have their space. The location can't be beat with the gorgeous mountain views from all 3 floors which only get better when it snows.

We spend almost all our time during our visit at the house cooking meals, playing board games, playing in the snow, and watching movies together. The main living space with the open layout of the kitchen, dining room and living room work perfectly to all spend time together. Also with so many of us and all the fun in the snow, we all very much appreciate and take advantage of the two laundry rooms in the home, as well as the thoughtful check-ins we receive from the home owners each year, and all the helpful home info on running everything in the house, and any other needs we may have.

When we go out, our favorite places to visit are Eldora Mountain Resort for skiing and snowboarding, and Nederland for its delicious BBQ place!

Excellent House!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed in this mountain home over the long labor day weekend. There were 11 of us ranging in ages from 11 - 70, and we were all very comfortable! We had plenty of space, though we found ourselves all out on the deck looking at the amazing view. It's about a 20 minute drive into the mountains (with a tiny town for a quick errand if needed), so feels very remote but not far at all from civilization. We had a running conversation about how there was 2 or 3 weeks worth of things to do in this area! It's in a great location to explore Boulder, Golden, Denver, and we even ventured to Idaho Springs. Everything is exactly as pictured and exactly as Beryle describes in this post and in the materials provided. Communication is quick, clear and easy from the time we booked through the return of our deposit check.

Great House!

  • 5 of 5

This house was exactly what I was looking for. Great mountain views with a secluded feel but very close to the city/airport. You get the mountain experience without having to go too far. House was in great condition and everything was as described. The owner was extremely helpful and made sure we were comfortable. I'd rent from Beryle again anytime.

Ideal Mountain Home: Secluded But Access To Civilization

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this home is exactly how described. Beryle does a great job of preparing you for staying at his home. You will know exactly what you should do for temperature control, hot tube use, garage use, etc. In addition, Beryle provides all the information needed on the community, such as parks, phone numbers, and restaurants.

We had a group of 8 males fly in from all over the country for an extended weekend, and could not have been happier with the accommodations and the price. The home is secluded, and many animals made their way through the yard during our stay. We spent most all of our time in Boulder, but the mornings and nights at the house provided the rest and relaxation desired. Whether you want to use the home as a launching point as we did, or you want to spend the entire time at the home enjoying the view and seclusion, you won't be disappointed.
