Beautiful retreat with peace and quiet

This property is beautifully secluded, and the views are amazing! My partner and I were looking for some quiet alone time after Christmas and this delivered so well. Wonderfully decorated, plenty of dishes and blankets and other things were provided and helped us feel so comfortable. And we loved the fireplace! We would love to visit this place again in the future.

Ideal vacation spot

Exactly as advertised. Be aware that the gravel driveway is very steep but you would expect that on a mountain. The views and amenities are top notch. It is the perfect place for a restful and relaxing stay.

Amazing

Wonderful place! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Everything was better than expected. The highlight of our trip was the momma bear and her 3 cubs playing in the tree right beside the porch. Can’t wait to visit again!

Romantic Getaway

This was our second Christmas at this Mountain Home. It is by far our most favorite place to stay. The home is so cozy with a wonderful fireplace and great views of the mountain. It has everything you need. We find ourselves never wanting to leave. The owners are so accommodating and keep their place in perfect condition.

Perfect free standing cabin for a couple

The cabin is beautifully designed and furnished with open concept kitchen and great room, porch deck with grill and front porch with wood stove, all on the main level and master bedroom and bath below. It feels like home. The hiking trails and views on the property are beautiful. This is the best place we have found in the 10 years we’ve been vacationing in Asheville. Don’t miss their Sunset Deck trail.

Perfect cozy cabin

My husband and I stayed here while our kids were away at camp, and everything was wonderful! The cabin, it's location and amenities were everything we expected and more...the pictures don't do it justice. The location was easy to get to and very convenient to downtown. We loved the views off the back porch, where we had our coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings. It was a perfect place to stay and we will definitely be returning. Thank you, Patty!

Little Slice of Heaven

We were pleasantly surprised by the spectacular views and all the nature surrounding the house. The house itself was beautiful, with stunning wood timber work that added a warm and rustic charm. The host was always available and very accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The photos simply don't capture the full beauty and warmth of this home. Highly recommended – we know we'll be back!

As beautiful as advertised

We loved this cabin in the hills, situated overlooking a mountain valley with the two outdoor porches and huge picture windows in the living room outfitted to enjoy the view. The house was extremely well provisioned, was impeccably clean, and "user friendly" with clear instructions for wifi, TV and kitchen use. Most impactful to us was the ability to be "away from it all" while celebrating our anniversary, and yet still be only 15 minutes from all the opportunities in downtown Asheville. I enthusiastically recommend this property.

This stunning private cabin for a couple has it all: covered deck with grill, patio with wood stove, indoor fireplace, sunny great room with huge comfortable sofa, modern kitchen with large island, laundry room, separate bedroom with king bed, hike from door on 50 acres of nature trails with a sunset deck at the top of the mountain and beautiful mountain views from windows, deck and porch. We keep returning for all these reasons.

Mountain Home was custom built by the owners using wood from the mature southern hardwood forest on our property. Hiking trails made and maintained by owners with 3 ponds and stone 'resting benches' every so often. Hiking trail map provided. New in 2016 is a covered "Sunset Deck" with spectacular views and sunsets-a short hike from the cabin.

New! 2016 Brison built a covered sunset deck on the top of the mountain a short hike from the cabin. Enjoy stunning views and sunsets from the sunset deck or enjoy a nice hike in the mature southern hardwood forest and then relax on either porch of the cabin while watching the sunset. Restaurants are 10 minutes away in downtown Asheville or visit the Biltmore House or Grove Park Inn. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just 2 miles away. Incredible views throughout the house for leaf watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
