This town comes alive when they are hosting one of their many events at Somers Cove Marina. In addition to the annual Hard Crab Derby, Crisfield hosts many other annual festivals. These annual events feature local seafood and are a great opportunity to visit this authentic Chesapeake Bay waterfront town. Popular festivals include the Soft Shell Spring Fair, the J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake, and the Terrapin Sands Fish Fry.
You can also walk to the shops, museums and antique stores. There are also cruises to Tangier Island and Smith Island which depart daily. These cruises are popular outings that give passengers an opportunity to visit these remote island communities.
Nearby is Janes Island State Park which offers hiking, camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, and fishing. This 3,100 acre park includes beaches, expansive wetlands, and easy access to Tangier and Pocomoke Sounds and the Chesapeake Bay. The park has an extensive system of water trails that are popular with kayakers.

My brother and I have owned the condo since 2005. We bought it as a place for our families to enjoy on the weekends and also share with our guests.
Eric purchased this Condo in 2005
Why Eric chose Crisfield
It is a beautiful unit with an amazing view.
What makes this Condo unique
We fell in love with the location and the water views. Crisfield has lots to offer ranging from boating or kayaking to crabbing and fishing. There is also a dock nearby if you want to take a day trip to Tangier Island to explore.

The condo is very spacious and nicely furnished. The view from the balcony and great room is beautiful! The owners are very accommodating and quickly responded to all our questions.
Crisfield is a quiet town, but there are 2 really nice state parks nearby and Chincoteague is fairly close. We had wonderful, jumbo steamed crabs from Linton Seafood. If you do visit out of season, be sure to check closing times for restaurants, as several closed early or were closed all together.
It would have been nice to have had access to WiFi. Would definitely stay again!
Of all the 4 day weekends to pick, we choose the rainy one. This was our first visit to Crisfield with a mission of checking out the area. Even with the rain we did drive around and sample some of the local resturants and Janes Island State Park. Crisfield is quaint and I call it a town that has one of everything.
The Condo was very nice, clean and relaxing with a beautiful view of the marina and bay. For feedback suggestions it would be helpful to have some small bowls for breakfast cereal. On a larger request, it would be nice to have an access to WiFi. Realise this would be an expense for you or the Association on a shared basis. I would recommend this place to anyone who is into boating, fishing, biking, hiking or just wants to get away for a quiet weekend.
Spacious waterfront condo on quiet bay side of the Eastern Shore
A gorgeous view of the water and fabulous sunsets were the highlights of our week in Crisfield. This part of the bay was once a bustling fishing and crabbing spot but now is an ideal spot to get away from it all! We took long bike rides, went kayaking at the nearby state park, played golf at the local course, and took a day trip to Tangier Island, which was fascinating. In August, the Eastern Shore is the consummate farmers market so pick up some crab or fish at the excellent seafood store and you have a fabulous meal in the condo. Crisfield is still recovering from Sandy so many of the businesses and restaurants have not been able to reopen. Still there is plenty to do and and places to eat out within walking distance. If you want more activity you can head over to Ocean City or Chincateague for the ocean crowds. A bonus was being able to watch the Nats on the condo TV! The unit was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and had everything that you might need including a washer and dryer. The three building complex has a vary nice pool. We had a great vacation week!
We had a lovely time in Crisfield and this condo was just what we needed. My favorite thing about it is the view. Breakfast on the screened in porch is the perfect way to start the day. And the beds were comfortable too. We stayed in Crisfield as a jumping off point to Smith Island and kayaking from Jane's Island St Park. I recommend both, as well as this condo. The owners quickly responded to all of my questions both before and during the rental.
Private sunset in a mini resort. Catch all the crabs you can eat. Roomy and clean accommocations.
Okay, I'll be candid. The town was quieter than Mayberry in the Andy Griffith show.
It was very quaint.
It may be because it is the latter part of the summer. It's a great town to "get away from it all", if that is what you want to do during vacation. The proximity to Ocean City is commutable, but as long as there is a designated driver. I think it took us a little over 45 minutes to get there.
The location of the "Harbour Lights Condo" is a self-contained mini resort in itself, with the pool nearby, the luxurious amenities of the rooms, including the jacuzzi and the immaculately designed interiors. The only thing missing was wifi to keep the kids busy with their iPads and occassional email checks at work. And if you needed to get social, Ki's restaurant is just a skip away. For us and the family, we spent both days chilling out at the dock, fishing pole at hand and me, just throwing back a few coronas, while waching the beautiful sunset over bay!
I am an avid fisherman, and the local fish population came out to entertain us on both days. I think we may have caught a few dozen spots and croakers. If you want to fish, I have to recommend going over to Daves fish and tacke and tell him that you want the fattest blood worms he has. This is the only bait that will work around this time of the year.
Oh, and I almost forgot. Crisfield is truly the "Crab Capital of the world"! In addition to catching almost 5 dozen crabs in the docks (which was literally the backyard of the condo), we ended up buying close to $500.00 worth of live soft shell crabs from one of the local crabbers! I can never get enough of them. Hand rolled and batter fried into sushi with some rice and wasabe. (Spider Roll - if you are a sushi fan)
We have been here three times, and not once have we ever been disappointed. Thanks James! - Just make sure the keys are ready next time! 'wink!
Wonderful stay in Crisfield
We loved it.
It was very clean and bed was soooo comfy!!!!!!!
Definitely would stay there again.
