Kick back and relax at the 'Edge of America', Folly Beach, South Carolina. Our Townhome is located in one of the most desirable locations on Folly Beach. Waters Edge is a small community on the Folly River tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, yet a close walk or golf cart ride to the beach or the restaurants and shops of downtown Folly Beach. Waters Edge has a community pool and dock for your enjoyment. Or hop in your car and be in beautiful, historic downtown Charleston in 15 minutes.
Our charming 3 BR/3 BA townhome is 1700 square feet. The home is tastefully furnished with hardwood floors throughout and features a private 2/3 car garage. The kitchen is open with all new appliances and has granite countertops. It is fully equipped with everything you will need to cook a full meal. The dining table seats 6 plus there are three bar stools at the granite island in the kitchen. The living room is furnished with a large leather sectional that can sleep two if needed. The living room on the main level features a 47 inch widescreen TV with HD cable, DVD, wireless internet and sound system. Just off the living room is a screened porch with plush wicker furniture for relaxing and enjoying the views of the river.
The three bedrooms are all beautifully furnished with new linens and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The master bedroom features a king sized four poster bed . The master bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub, standup shower and double sinks. There is also a 12 foot walk-in closet. Open the sliding doors off the master bedroom and walk onto a beautiful sun porch furnished with two comfortable lounge chairs for a gorgeous view of the river and the marsh. This is the perfect place for quiet afternoons reading in the sun. The 2nd Bedroom features a queen bed and private bath. The third bedroom on the main level has a queen bed and full bath. All bed rooms have TVs and DVDs.
Folly Beach is a unique, small, eclectic beach town that features six miles of beautiful sandy beaches, excellent local restaurants, beach bars, and shops. The wonderful Folly Pier is 24 feet wide and extends more than 1,045 feet into the Atlantic Ocean. Go to the beach, enjoy the pier, relax at the pool, take a bike ride, hike out to Lighthouse Point, fish and crab off the dock or just enjoy fabulous sunset views from the dock under the covered gazebo from the bench swing.
This home is perfect for families or groups of vacationers. The home is equipped with several amenities available to all guests including: board games, books, Bocce Ball, beach chairs, beach cruiser bikes, Ocean Kayaks (2), gas grill and more. Be sure to ask about our golf cart rental.

Exactly what I wanted and even more than I expected!
We had a fabulous stay in Lee's townhome. It exceeded my expectations. It was clean, well decorated and furnished and stocked with everything we needed and more! The location was perfect location for us, with peaceful and beautiful views of the river, and walking distance to Lost Dog Cafe and Rita's. We were there for a long weekend to celebrate my daughter's graduation. The space was perfect with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, so adult family members could all stay together yet still have their space. The kitchen had everything we needed to a large cook dinner and breakfast for everyone. We lived on the screened in porch! The air conditioner works well and the beds are very comfortable! Lots of games, movies and large tv's for the rainy evenings. We did not get to use the golf cart, the kayaks and fishing poles this trip, but they are a great bonus. The bikes were not working for us, but they too are an excellent feature. The huge garage was nice when it rained on graduation day, and made for cool cars and easy parking. My sister, who is funny about staying in unknown places, announced she would definitely stay again! We only wish we had more time to enjoy everything the place had, so we plan to come back!
Awesome condo, wonderful location
My family just returned from Folly, and we stayed in this beautiful condo. it was well stocked with beach chairs, kayaks, lots of sand boys, bikes of many sizes. the home is very comfortable. well-stocked kitchen. having a washer and dryer is a plus. close to beach, close to stores, walking distance to many restaurants. we rented the golf cart to help transport beach gear, which was great. definitely recommend this unit, and we will stay again when we visit Folly in the future!! fyi -- this condo complex does have lots of steps, which wasn't a problem for anyone in my family, but definitely something to keep in mind. Third year in a row!
My family and I love this unit and communication with Lee is top notch. There are simply too many amenities and updated furnishings to list. Take it from the cook, the kitchen is well stocked. The only item I take from home is a crockpot. Simply put, He makes sure that you're at home in his home. Location is perfect because you're on the marsh if you want to fish, kayak, or crab and the pool is steps away from the house. Three blocks ahead out of Waters Edge and you're on the beach. Having the convenience of a golf cart lends to more exploration opportunities. Unless we go grocery shopping, my car never leaves the garage. Year after year, in conversations with other Water Edge renters we reconfirm that this is THE BEST unit. It has become our favorite vacation destination that we anxiously await the return to each Summer.
Perfect 50th Birthday!
The condo is beautiful! The location is perfect...Folly Beach is fun and it's close to downtown. The kitchen is well equiped. This condo is perfect for three couples sharing a vacation. We had a fabulous time and can't wait to come back! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us!
Loved this property!
We just returned from a week at this Water's Edge home. The home is nicely decorated, very comfortable and is packed with amenities (beach gear, kayaks, bikes.) The bikes were a little large but should be fine for teens or taller people. It is situated in a quiet part of town and has beautiful views. I really liked that it was quiet and out of the busy Folly Beach restaurant area while being really close to it at the same time. We were able to avoid a lot of that traffic and the parking issues. The development is also very pretty.
We did not rent the golf cart and found that the restaurants and the beach were a quick and easy walk. We brought the beach chairs from the house but rented an umbrella at the beach. If you have small kids or a lot to carry to the beach, the golf cart rental might be a good option. Our kids are older.
The house included two fishing rods and the fishing dock was a lot of fun. We caught several small fish off of the dock. In addition to the beautiful sunsets, we watched dolphins each night off of the dock. The pool was also nice and not very crowded. One night we had the entire pool to ourselves. The pool area was complete with clean bathrooms and an area to set up your drinks and snacks if you wanted to.
The sights of Charleston were very easily accessible from Water's Edge so I was really glad that we set up our home base at Folly beach. It's the best of both worlds! You get a beach vacation but still can fit in plenty of sightseeing. Actually, you can spend the entire morning in Charleston and still make it back for a few hours at the beach!
The house has a lot of games and movies to choose from if you want to stay in or for a rainy day.
The owner was very nice and easy to work with when planning our trip. As far as supplies, there is a Harris Teeter grocery store on Folly Road so we stopped there to get some basic household things. The house did have paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, baggies and wraps. I'd stop by the house first and see what's there. If I was going to offer any suggestions, I might add some beach towels. We flew and had to pack them.

Nice Place
This condo is decorated very nicely and was very comfortable for our family of 4 with two teenagers. We all had our own space which was very nice. Our 14 year old son lived on the dock fishing whenever we were home. It was a great place to meet other people and to just enjoy the beautiful scenery. There's a swing on the deck where I spent some time reading and enjoying a glass of wine while my son fished. Super relaxing. There is construction going on the bridge but it wasn't obtrusive.
We did not rent the golf cart as we spent a lot of time in Charleston. If you're planning on spending most of your time at the beach, the golf cart would probably be a good idea. We thoroughly enjoyed having the bikes to ride go for dinner or a quick trip to the beach. There were two fishing poles and some beach chairs which came in handy. There are tons of books, puzzles and movies available which was very nice.
The not so good:bring your own shampoo, soap, conditioner as they don't have any. Most condo's we've rented still offer hotel style shampoos. They also only had 1 roll of TP in each bathroom. That seemed a little odd. Also the house is fairly clean but the housekeeper apparently is only responsible for the main areas as the closets had major dust bunnies that was kind of weird and gross. The refrigerator also needed a better cleaning and I suspected the sheets for the downstairs bedroom hadn't been washed. So, general housekeeping could be better.
Overall, we had a great time at the condo and would highly recommend!
