Custom home located in Old Greenwood, Truckee California.
Tahoe Mountain Club four-season golf resort community.
Old Greenwood’s golf course is designed by Jack Nicklaus, this signature golf course is located on 600 acres of lush forest and surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains. In addition to the beautiful views, it’s also a challenging course to play.

The home features a spacious layout, unique finishes and high-end appliances. Distinctive attributes of this home include a large gourmet kitchen, bar, breakfast nook, outdoor fire pit with a large stone patio. Perfect layout for entertaining which has been professionally decorated and exceptionally cozy with 4 gas fireplaces.
Recent upgrades is a mesh system for better internet coverage and a sonos music system throughout the home. Just download the app and connect to our wifi and begin streaming your own music.

New Town of Truckee short term rental policy: this home is now limited to a total of 8 people with a maximum of 10.

Our mountain retreat has 2 bedrooms with kings beds and 2 bedrooms with queen beds. Each of the bedrooms has it's own bathroom and a half bath is located in the media room or TV room as some call it.

The Media Room and all Bedrooms have flat screen T.V.'s.
Other amenities include a video game table with 65+ games, ping pong, electronic basketball & corn hole in garage for summer fun, board game closet with a ton for all to enjoy, chess/checker table and so much more!

The Pavilion, located on the Old Greenwood property is a short drive or walk from the house.

The following Old Greenwood third-party amenities are as follows: The Pavilion's Bearfoot Bar & Grill, adult lap pool with summer poolside service, 2 outdoor hot tubs, family-friendly pool with water features & play area, locker rooms with showers & steam rooms. Also at Old Greenwood you will find basketball & bocce courts inquire at front desk for there locations.

The fitness facility and movement studio has several different types of fitness classes see monthly schedule at check in. The club fees currently are $75 per day (subject to change) and will be included in your quote unless told otherwise. (food & beverages are not included in daily club fee)
The Pavilion also has a spa, tennis courts and golf available to you on a reservation basis and paid by renter at time of service or booking.

With Northstar being only 6 miles away be sure to take advantage of this beautiful resort. At Northstar you can bike and hike the mountain in the summer, ski in the winter and shop, drink and relax any time of the year! For your convenience check the shuttle schedule at The Pavilion to get to and from NorthStar.

By booking or reserving any of the above third-party services aka amenities/add-ons the disclosures are as follows:
The renter understands that all Old Greenwood or NorthStar amenities are NOT affiliated with the property owner and by booking any or all of the amenities (add-ons) the renter(s) understands that the property owner assists to arrange their amenities as requested and renter & guests agrees to release and hold harmless the property owner for any and all claims related to any third party activities.

FYI Our home undergoes a cleaning and has a 48 hour hold after each clean to keep all guests safe with the understanding that it is a "rent at your own risk" situation.
More astringent Statewide shutdowns during a pandemic could force last minute changes & cancellations.

Damage deposits are required & must be paid in full before arrival. We no longer accept this site's insurance as the company is unresponsive to refunding repair costs.

Golf trip

Where do I begin… From booking to check out the process was seem less! Michael and Lisa were exceptional to work with. The house was beautiful and clean and all the amenities exceeded our expectations!! We can’t wait to hopefully return next year! Thanks again, Matt

Beautiful Tahoe home

This Old Greenwood home is gorgeous and so well-stocked. Communication with property owner was first rate. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a large beautiful home in Tahoe. Close to Northstar and downtown truckee.

Layout, Service, Quality, Location A+

We rent in the Tahoe/Donner location regularly and this home was by far our best pick. My expectation was the home would reflect the Old Greenwood neighborhood quality. It did not disappoint, but there were two factors that made this vacation experience stand out. First, the layout of the home was perfect for my family. The spacious game room over the garage that was connected to the home provided a fun, peaceful escape for some of the young adults. The breakfast area in the kitchen was perfect for coffee and puzzles, and the full dining table brought the entire party together for board games and mealtimes. In general the layout was optimum for group fun, small group activities and peaceful, quiet time too. The second distinguishing factor for this home was the service. From the beginning, the owners were very responsive and helpful. They lead me through the rental process to ensure we were well informed about the logistics of the stay/home. Would I recommend this home? YUP!

A Beuatiful Home in an Amazing Community

Our favorite summer vacation! We have stayed in many of the private houses and this by far is one of our favorites! Beautiful home, great layout, and the area is amazing!

Beautiful house and very fun for the kids

A gorgeous home, very comfortable for all. My children especially enjoyed the video game, the ping pong, and the mini-basketball shoot. If it were up to them, they never would have left the house. We had a great 6 day/5 night stay and highly recommend; bottom line, we would most certainly stay here again!

First class property

Beautiful home in a great community. Perfect with two families and multiple kids. Gorgeous interiors and lots of room to spread out. Other reviewers are correct in that the pictures do not do it justice. The media room above the garage is perfect for the kids and far enough away from the main living area for everyone to relax and have fun. Having access to all of the amenities at the Pavilion (and shuttle to Northstar!) is icing on the cake.

Gorgeous Home!

No pictures can do justice for this beautiful and much loved home. We stayed there in summer with our 4 children (10-14) and could not have been more pleased - we often had to pry the children away to enjoy all the outdoor activities that Tahoe has to offer because the house had equally as much to offer! The beautiful, luxurious wide planked wood is everywhere from the floor to ceiling, providing a constant warm glow. The chairs, beds, couches, blankets, breakfast nook - all very comfy and inviting. All the appliances and kitchen utensils are top notch and we needed nothing additional. Beautiful bathrooms at every turn - we especially loved the deep tub with the fireplace in the upstairs master. The kids loved all the games (ping pong, Wii, PacMan game table) and playing server at the living room bar. We took advantage of the quick walk to the Pavillion every evening and enjoyed the sunset while soaking in the hot tub while the kids loved the slide. It was never overly crowded and had great food and drinks too. If you have the chance to stay here, grab it, you won't be disappointed - my only regret is that we only had a week to enjoy it!

A home that exceeds your highest expectations

This home is beautiful and spacious and of the highest quality. We had a very enjoyable 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Our plan was to enjoy the ski hills but we could not wait to get back to the home and gather in the extra-large chef's kitchen. Also, the owners, Lisa and Mike, were attentive and cared that we had a great time. We are already looking forward to renting this great home again.

Gorgeous home and great ammenities!

We loved staying in this gorgeous, expansive home. The house itself is truly beautifully decorated, immaculate in every way, and richly appointed. The location within Old Greenwood allows for walks up to The Pavilion, which provided a fantastic venue for exercise, swimming, and play, including for the little people in our party. It was easy to get to Northstar and other local ski resorts. It's the best home we've ever rented, and we'd recommend it to anyone.

A beautiful vacation home that works well for families

Our family has vacationed at this property twice during the past two winters and have thoroughly enjoyed our stays. This home is absolutely beautiful with every amenity we would want. It is a perfect home to share with another family. It is much more spacious than the pictures imply. Our children range from 6-11 and while the home is spectacular, it is friendly for families who appreciate a really nice home. We enjoy the spacious floor plan, the ease of entertaining two families, the shuttle to Northstar, the heated floors in the bathrooms and the iPod dock that plays music throughout the house. The karaoke, Wii and video game table are a definite hit with the kids. The proximity to the Pavillion/Spa and Northstar shuttle is excellent. Last but not least, the owners are very responsive and helpful. We hope to return again and again.

Excellent Property

Just spent a week at this property with 5 kids under the age of 7 and our elderly parents. We had a wonderful time. The property is easily within walking distance to the pavillion which has a kids camp, pool, tennis courts, spa, fitness center and tons of classes for the kids to attend. The set-up is great with a large great room, 2 ground level bedrooms and two "wings" with rooms upstairs. There is a beatuful patio with a firepit to warm us on cool Tahoe nights. We had no probelms finding peace and quiet despite the plethora of kids with us. The previous reviewer is spot on, pictures don't do this place justice and all of us are alreadying talking about when we will get a chance to return. A nice little surprise is that there is a stocked pond about 100ft behind the property where lure fishing is permitted so make sure you pack your fly rod or spinning rod. We caught 6 nice sized trout fishing for about 1 hour.

a magnificent home!

This is THE most beautiful, clean and well appointed home I have seen on a rental market. The pictures do this house no justice. The owners obviously love and lovingly maintain this home. They made themselves available for all our questions. The setting of Old Greenwood is beautiful and so peaceful. Make sure you avail yourselves of the clubhouse - the spa, pools, food, drink - it's all there! We will go back at our earliest opportunity and I would highly recommend this home to my friends and family. I am grateful for having found this home.

Wonderful family vacation

Thank you so much for having a home that was warm, spacious and absolutely perfect for our family vacation. We were 3 families: grandmother, grandfather, son and spouse and 2 kids, daughter and spouse and 2 kids. Your pictures show a beautiful home but in person, the home is even better. Each family had their own separate space to sleep but we loved meeting together in the large family rooms for eating, playing and lounging. The grandchildren wanted to stay permanently! Your amenities were clearly spelled out and our son appreciated the wireless capabilities so he was able to do a bit of work. The pavillon was so much fun. We really did not have to leave Greenwood between the bike riding, the walks, the playing softball in front of the house, and the hours of fun using the pool and the slides. All the employees at the pavillon were exceptionally friendly and made our walks and bike rides to the pool a pleasure. One night we took a walk behind the 10th hole of the golf course to find the sport court which lead to a super fun night of games and beautiful scenery as we stayed long enough to walk home with the setting sun. We did take quick trips into Truckee for shopping. We made it to Northstar for horseback riding and to Kings Beach the same day to get the Lake Tahoe feel. Greenwood location is a good central location to get to Reno, Truckee and any other destinations around Lake Tahoe. Our daughter and husband went into Tahoe City for a dinner to celebrate their 5th anniversary. Your place was so clean and the furnishings comfortable and beautiful.. We kept saying to ourselves that every time we looked around we kept finding a new piece of art or furniture that we would have loved in our own homes. Thanks so much for giving us a place that we will definitely come back to so that we can create more wonderful memories.
