About this property

Grandma Julie's Getaway

This beautiful home sits on 14 acres in a forested area approximately 8 miles North of Fairbanks, AK. The original owners of the home owned 160 acres in the area and came to Alaska in 1955.

We welcome guests from all parts of the world to enjoy our property. The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) can be seen on the property at times during our fall and winter months. Wildlife such as moose, foxes, and birds frequent the property. The property is great for families that enjoy the outdoors or for individuals and couples that enjoy a little extra privacy.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Great quiet location, perfect for our trip to visit family in Fairbanks. Very clean, well stocked kitchen.... But best was the snacks and fresh flowers to enjoy on the table! Very thoughtful and kind hosts.

This is the best Vrbo I’ve ever experienced. Clean, great host, peaceful location, all the cooking items you need, comfy beds, and a great living space to unwind. Becki and her home deserve much more than a 10. Suffice to say I would love to come back here again.

Everything was perfect. House is lovely in a nice setting about 10m outside Fairbanks. Everything worked great - kitchen well stocked and host was super nice and helpful. Will 100% stay again when back in Fairbanks.

Great stay. Clean, comfortable and really cute place. Perfect spot to catch the Aurora Borealis last night. Host was awesome. Quick responder and very accommodating. Plenty of coffee and fixings each morning. Snacks available. Soft comfortable beds (super soft sheets). I highly recommend Grandma Julie’s place.

Homely stay in Fairbanks

Warm and cosy stay which gives home away from home feels. You will have everything you will probably need for your stay. Everything is laid out very well and Becky is very responsive.

By far, the best rental we have ever stayed in! If I could give more than five stars I would. Becky is a great hostess, she absolutely thinks of everything. Clean, spacious, the most amenities ever! Beautiful outdoor private property and sitting outside on the porch/deck was a favorite of ours.

Nice secluded home. Clean, nice bedding and towels. Had great space for the six of us. They provided several amenities including coffee beans, popcorn and basics condiments. Great communication with host. We used the wood stove, may be a little tricky if you aren’t comfortable with wood heat but if you use the written instructions you will be comfy warm in no time.

Peaceful and relaxing

This cozy home outside of Fairbanks included exceptionally nice personal touches--A well stocked coffee and snack supply, comfy beds, well laid out floor plan along with historical pictures adorning the walls and bird feeders that attracted wildlife made it feel like a true home away from home. Owners made sure the driveway was plowed quickly after a snow and checked in to see if all was ok (which it was).

Wilderness Revitalize

This property was just what I needed. All the touring and city noises were getting depressing. To stay at Becky's place in a country setting was beneficial. Great place, close to Fairbanks but out of town where you can just enjoy nature. All around great place, extremely clean and a very accommodating host.
