Preciosa casa privada en el río Yough con jacuzzi

The Yough Treehouse (YTH) se encuentra en la ciudad de Confluence, cerca de Lucky Dog Cafe y Riversport, en el corazón de las montañas Laurel Highlands.
YTH se encuentra en 2 acres a lo largo del río Youghiogheny. Rodeado por más de 50 acres de bosques protegidos (* recientemente comprado por Western PA Conservancy y los senderos están en proceso), al final de un camino de un solo carril, pero a poca distancia de la ciudad y a 400 metros del sendero para bicicletas Great Allegheny Passage.
Nuestra casa tranquila y apartada está construida a medida, bien equipada y limpia. La casa es de 1500 pies cuadrados con un plan de piso abierto en la cocina / sala de estar. También en la planta baja hay un baño completo. Dos pasos arriba hay un amplio dormitorio principal con una cama king y un segundo dormitorio con gemelos. Arriba hay un gran loft con una cama queen y una gran vista. La casa tiene un gran porche y justo al lado de la cocina bien equipada se encuentra la terraza junto al río con una parrilla de propano.
Disfrute de la belleza natural del área relajándose en nuestra espaciosa terraza con vista al río. Escuche gansos, patos y otras aves mientras se sumerge en la bañera de hidromasaje aislada. Pesca con mosca para la trucha en las aguas bien surtidas de la presa en nuestro patio trasero. Esté atento a la garza, águila pescadora o si tiene suerte las águilas calvas.
Pase un día nadando y paseando en bote en el lago Yough. Tómese un descanso de su viaje desde DC a Pittsburgh en el sendero para bicicletas o pase el día en bicicleta por rutas más cortas a las cercanas Ohiopyle, Connellsville, Rockwood o Meyersdale. Haga de este el refugio perfecto para viajes a las 2 casas de Frank Lloyd Wright (Fallingwater y Kentuck Knob) cercanas. Estamos ubicados en el centro de las estaciones de esquí (Wisp, Seven Springs y Hidden Valley). Disfruta del rafting, el canotaje y el kayak desde nuestra puerta, o para más aventuras en Ohiopyle o Friendsville, MD.

Great Getaway

This is the third time staying at the Yough Treehouse. We are very comfortable here and the setting couldn't be better. There is easy access to biking, hiking, fishing, and just hanging out on the beautiful deck looking at the river. We especially enjoy the quiet. The house is always clean and well equipped and Kara is a pleasure to deal with. Obviously, we will continue coming back!

The Tree House was everything we needed to enjoy ourselves and the surrounding area. The area has something for everyone, river, lake, biking, hiking, state park, national monument, Frank Loyd Wright Waterfall home or you can just sit on the deck and enjoy the sound of the river.

Peaceful Beauty!

Yough Treehouse was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway! Five adult siblings took our mom for a surprise 79th birthday weekend. Just mom and her kids - a special time for sure! There was plenty of room for the six of us. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed. We appreciated that a bottled water dispenser was provided for us to fill our reusable water bottles, thereby avoiding the wasteful use of disposable plastic bottles. Incidentals were also provided (garbage bags, dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.). So nice not to have to remember all the little things! The fire pit area was our favorite! The lighting created a lovely ambiance and ensured our walks back to the house were safely lit. We found slab firewood just a couple of miles East on Route 281. They have a barn painted with the black Mail Pouch logo. The address is approximately 8178 Kingwood Rd, Confluence. Very nice people and inexpensive! Kara is a great host who takes pride in the details for her guests! We will book with her again! Thank you, Kara, for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great getaway

In town for a week before a wedding near Pittsburgh. Wanted peace and quiet and that is this place. Everything was as advertised. Would highly recommend. Also just a few yards to the bike trail.advertised.

Had All We Needed

The home was very private yet close to all outdoor activities. Right along the river, walking, biking, and fishing were all within steps. We enjoyed the outside deck and the firepit and hot tub were available to us. The home was very comfortable and well equipped. WiFi worked great. This was our second time here and we will definitely return.

Tree house treasure

We had a wonderful time and will be back. There was so much to do. Hiking, biking, fishing and lots more. The hot tub was perfect for a relaxing time after hiking. Our dog Dipper loved the location right next to the river. . gghts was visiting the Frank Loyd Wright, “ Falling WATERS.

Until next year Treehouse!

My husband and I have been spending our anniversary at the treehouse every year since 2018. The moment we turn onto River Road our whole mentality changes, I consider our trips to the treehouse the best gift I give myself every year. The home is always clean, furniture comfortable, and has all the amities we need to enjoy our stay. The property is peaceful, we enjoy listening to the river, the falling leaves, the chirping crickets, and love when the train whistle when it comes into the town. I could go on and on but considering that we have continued to return since 2018 speaks volumes. Unitl next year Treehouse!

Dream House on the Yough

If you’re looking for the perfect place to get away from all the noise , ride your bike to Ohiopyle, raft or canoe in the amazing water right out your back door . This is your house ! Build a , relax in the hot tub or just watch the wildlife / birds do day to day. This house is very clean and detailed for family and friends to enjoy the mountains in the most perfect setting.Book / and ENJOY !

Relaxing escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Yough Treehouse! The weather had turned cooler which made the hot tub and fire pit that much more inviting. The house was clean and well stocked (games, blankets, filtered water). Being able to bring our dog was another bonus. The location is in walking distance to the Lucky Dog Cafe, where we had a really good lunch, and to Riversport, where we rented some kayaks. The bike trail is also right there, so if you want to bike or just take a nice walk you are all set! We hope to come back and stay again sometime!

Never disappoints

Family Getaway

Wonderful property! The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Kara was quick to respond to any questions we had, before and during our stay. We had a great time exploring Confluence, walking the trails, dinner at the Lucky Dog Cafe and ice cream at the Outflow. We loved the falls at Ohiopyle and the laurel caverns. A lovely home, inside and out (even better than the pictures.) would love to see it in the fall!

Super short version of our story: I grew up in Confluence, learned to kayak with my family, it became my passion, I met my husband through kayaking, we got married. In 1997 we saw this little cabin with 2 acres of land on the banks of the Yough River. We bought it and happily lived there for many years but always wanted a deck, and a kitchen with a full sized fridge and closets. The "deck" turned into the house you see today. We lived there even more HAPPILY until we had kids and moved away. We struggled with selling this property until a friend suggested that we KEEP it and make it a vacation rental. In 2010 the Yough Treehouse was born. Our other business is making high end, technical whitewater kayaking gear. This taught us the value of excellent customer service. That along with being immersed in the outdoors and connoisseurs of all that the Laurel Highlands has to offer made sharing our home with guests ideal.

I grew up in Confluence and learned to love it's rivers and mountains but university and kayak racing took me away. My husband, having worked and kayaked in the area spotted a little cabin and 2 acres of land for sale on the Yough River. I knew the area well and used to do a trail run over the mountain and by the house, but never really noticed it--it blended in. I was racing in a World Cup kayak race when he faxed me the documents to sign to buy it! He knew it was a treasure.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The unique benefits of the Treehouse start with it's location. Of course it's on the Yough River and just off the GAP bike trail, but it's quiet and private, yet it's close to town. The short stroll to Lucky Dog Cafe for lunch, dinner or just a cocktail is wonderful.
The layout of the house is modern and great for a family or group gathering. If you like to cook, the kitchen is fantastic. Some highlights include: soaking in the claw foot master bath tub--or better yet, the hot tub, drinking coffee while reading the paper on the deck. There is basically no traffic on our one lane road, dead end road. And a glimpse of the bald eagles is a treat of a lifetime.
