Hakuna Matata EP629 is a beautiful modern home! On the ground floor you will find the first two suites. To the left, the first offering a king and sleeper sofa. Complete with kitchenette and full bath. To the right, the second offers a twin over queen bunk bed, kitchenette and full bath, and a door leading out to the pool. Upstairs, to the left side, the two bedroom suite. The first is a king, with a full bath. The second offers two bunks with a full bath. Complete with a kitchenette. To the right, you will find the main living space. Offering a king suite and full bath. There is also a washer and dryer, half bath, full kitchen, a living room with ample seating and a sleeper sofa in this space. Plan a multi-family or generational getaway with quick access to town and a short cart drive to the beach. There is a lift to help bring luggage and groceries to the second floor! Pool can be heated for an additional charge of $100+tax per day for the duration of your stay. Please mention when making reservations!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- A 2-3 night minimum stay is required.
- Contracting guests must be at least 25 years old. A signed rental agreement with the host and a copy of the contracting guest's drivers license is required.
- This is a DOG-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. (No Cats Allowed) Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.
- PARKING: Guests have access to the house’s car garage, in addition to a large driveway for plenty of parking.
- We do not accept Klarna or Affirm Payments.
- Cable and Wi-Fi service in Port Aransas can be unreliable due to the unique coastal environment in which we live. We appreciate your understanding that these services are beyond our control. No discounts or refunds will be given for service disruptions.

We had a very positive experience the last time we vacationed at this home so we were expecting the same level of cleanliness and care this year. However, the cleanliness this time was totally unacceptable. Hesitant to use refrigerators due to cleanliness. Filters out of date according to indicator lights on main fridge. Afraid to use ice maker and water dispenser. Broken dining room chair. Many drawers did not appear to have been wiped clean inside. Clothes drier lint filter contained a thick layer of lint as if it were never cleaned. Many dead and alive roaches were visible. Outside hoses were kinked and twisted making them difficult to use. Second floor room on left side smelled moldy. Refrigerator in same room had a pool of brown water in it and freezer had an oder. We really love this home. It would have rated an ‘excellent’ but the cleaning was totally unacceptable. For my wife and I as hosts it was embarrassing.

The perfect set up for multi generational family. Every family had their own space. Great response time from property manager when we couldn’t figure out the lift.

Property not cleaned well. Floors were dirty. Cargo lift never fixed the whole time we were there. No water pressure downstairs. Saw roaches in kitchen. Otherwise fine, pet friendly stay for multiple families. But think it could’ve been cleaner.

Hakuna Matata means Don't Worry, but I worried ALOT!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The concept of the unit's layout was precisely what we were going for. It gave our large family of 11 to privacy. We stayed from Sunday to Thursday morning. When we first entered the unit, the pull out bed in the living room was out and the sofa pillows were thrown onto another sofa. The bottom 2 units were another issue. One of the beds was at an incline which made for an uncomfortable sleep or lack of sleep on two of those nights. The other bottom unit bed was well used and was lumpy. The guest bedroom upstairs away from the main living room had a clogged sink, low water pressure and you had to run the water in the shower for about 3-5 minutes to finally get some hot water. The pool also was dirty upon our arrival and there was no filtration system working. All these issues were somewhat corrected (sink still drained slowly that I brushed my teeth and washed my face using the shower) and we left a bit disappointed.

Family Beach Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house. It allowed separate spaces for all family members and also good living/kitchen spaces to gather as well. The pool was a great asset along with the lift that could move luggage and groceries to the 2nd floor. Kitchen was well-stocked. The furniture was quite comfortable. The picnic table in the breezeway was a good outdoor dining option. The house was located between 2 beach access roads and was a short distance to restaurants and shopping.

Great house!

This house has a cool setup with the living quarters all being separate. Anything we needed was taken care of immediately. Great place to stay.

What an Easter

1. Bedroom behind the garage could not have been slept in because of the fume smell and roaches crawling everywhere. My children had to come upstairs at midnight only to find two roaches up there as well. This should not have been considered a useful bedroom and bath2. All the outside furniture was very dirty and had not been cleaned in quite a while3. Swimming pool looked green4. Dishwasher did not work5. When notified was told Okie Dokey

Xmas Vacation

The separate living areas were very nice. We had teenagers up to 70 y/o so the different areas were very convenient. Close to beach and a nice walk. Property management addressed our concerns quickly. The living room furniture was soiled and some of the beds were either broken or uncomfortable. The property could definitely use a thorough cleaning.

Port A 2024 Fam

If you are in need of a house with four separate living quarters this is the perfect place. We had 7 individuals and 2 dogs. The 2 dogs needed to be kept separated but the house layout allowed the whole family still socialize in the common living room. The manager was responsive to our needs. 5 of the 7 of us are over 70 years and the elevator proved to be helpful for luggage. We will definitely keep this house on our favorites list.

Great property! Close to everything!

This was a great property that was conveniently located so close to everything in town. There were four main sections that each had their own fridges and living spaces, which was perfect for balancing the needs of different groups in our family. Check-in and out were a breeze and the host had excellent communication. Will definitely rent from this property management group again!

Together yet separate

We absolutely loved this house. It was clean and each room was like its own little apartment with a stove, fridge, bed, and shower. So, you have your own privacy, yet you are all together. The upstairs has the washer/dryer and the main kitchen, so that room does have to share the space with others, or the other upstairs has 2 separate rooms, but they have doors and own bathrooms. Beds were not so comfy, and one was very squeaky which we all overlooked due to how great this place was. Who has time to sleep anyway when you are having so much fun! The pool is long and perfect to hang out and play games. There was a lot of sand in the bottom (we tried to sweep it some, but did not bother us.) In one room there is an ice maker which was fabulous for filling coolers. Parking was great for 4 cars and 2 golf carts. Lastly, the location was perfect. So close to the beach, and town. We looked for a house in the area. It is the perfect spot and will stay there again for sure regardless of the beds. We go regularly to Port A!

Nice place with separate living spaces

This place was nice. It was great having separate spaces for our group. The place was well stocked with lots of kitchen items, there was plenty of dishwasher and laundry soap provided as well. The wifi was terrible though, it appears that there was a DIY extender setup that was not done properly because throughout most of the spaces there was barely any wifi. Needs some general cleaning and maintenance done (cleaning hand grime off the doors, changing out quite a number of light bulbs that were out, changing the filters in the refrigerator, etc.) Overall it was a nice stay.

Beautiful Home

Beautiful home! We were so comfortable during our stay. We had a couple of rain days so being comfortable was important! The living/kitchen/dining room was spacious and comfortable. There isn’t direct access to the beach, but we were really close via car and/or golf cart. The kitchen was nicely stocked. We cooked several times during our stay and we had everything we needed (even for a large shrimp boil). We enjoyed our stay!

Awesome spot!

This property was perfect for myself, my husband and several of our friends. The bedrooms were mostly separated into their own units with at least one bathroom and a kitchenette which was a fantastic set up for us. Beach was only a short golf cart ride away and the main kitchen/house had everything we needed to gather as a group for mealtimes and evening times. Highly recommend!

Garbage was full outside and smelled terrible. I believe it was emptied in 2 days. Microwave didn't work and they brought us one that did. I would recommend having someone renail the nails on the upstairs breezeway. Someone could hurt their feet on protruding nail heads. Still a great rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros. We loved the layout of the house. We are a blended family with 8 kids total. Their ages range from 15-30 and two of our adult kids are married. The house configuration gave everyone their space yet the large main living room and kitchen was a great place to all gather for family time. The house sits a mile from the beach with pretty easy access by car or golf cart.Cons. The main kitchen microwave did not work at all. Everything had to be warmed up across the breezeway in our kids kitchenette. Maintenance came to look at it and said they have to replace it but they didn’t do it while we were there. The garbage disposal in the main kitchen had a terrible leak so we couldn’t use the right side of the sink until they replaced it which they did. However, the biggest problem we had was the air conditioner in the main unit. At first we thought it couldn’t keep up because their was a lot of in and out of our family since it was the common area and my wife and I were in the main king suite in that unit. But at night the a/c never would cool down to a comfortable point. It was HOT! After communicating with management, sending pics with time of day showing the problem, a maintenance guy came and “cleaned the coils”. It did not help. Then A/c repair guys came 2-3 times and finally determined the unit needed to be replaced......on the morning we left. I’m glad others after us will sleep in a comfortable a/c space. Management did refund some of our money, not enough in my opinion as we had multiple issues and inconveniences. And we shouldn’t be paying thousands of dollars on vacation only to deal with maintenance issues in a home we don’t own. We’re on a get away from responsibility. In my view, if you’re going to own a vacation rental company, you need to make sure all of your properties are in excellent working conditions before renters arrive. Memorial Weekend

I’ve been going to Port A since the 70s as a kid. What a great place and what a great house. The location is close to beach access and not too far from all the shops. Get the golf cart if you want to explore without loading up in the car and enjoy the air. Every room was self sustainable and very comfortable. The main room and kitchen were spacious enough to accommodate our party of 10 and out door seating added to the fun of meals prepared onsite. Plenty of driveway parking to avoid violating fire lanes painted in the cul-de-sac. Pet friendly with upper deck locking gate so the fur kids can’t wander down the stairs. The pool area is also enclosed.
