Beautiful condo, excellent location.

We loved our stay at Los Porticos Villas. The balcony was amazing. So many nice restaurants nearby. The beach was clean. Everything was even better than we’d imagined. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing, Memorable & Perfect

Los Porticos Villas is a haven and heaven from the stresses of the world. Great location, wonderful amenities, responsive staff, peaceful and tranquil, and close (including walking distance) to phenomenal seafood and beach bars. Can't say enough positive things. Can't beat the onsite friendly iguanas and turtles laying eggs. To quote Arnold, "I'll be back!".

Lovely setting

As beautiful as the photos suggest! The workers rake the sand and clean the pools every morning and it’s very clean. But the adjacent shore lines are full of plastics that have washed ashore so it’s not possible to walk along the beach as we’d hoped to do. But they work hard to keep their small section of beachfront clean. We were there for three nights and no one checked in with us while we stayed there. We had only one key which made it difficult with five adults and we spoke with two different parties about getting a second key. They finally found a key but it didn’t work so we had to coordinate in order to keep things locked. In the kitchen, we had only two paper coffee liners, two packs of sweetnlow and one envelope of nondairy creamer and nothing else—so bring your own supplies in that regard. Also, we were given the tiniest bar of soap and shampoo for the entire stay which were used immediately so we had to go out and buy bar soap. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was very nice. The water pressure was wonderful and the showers were hot. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner and that is a very nice feature. It’s just a lovely place but I was struck by the absence of support staff and the lack of basic supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. You will also need to figure out how to coordinate with only one key.

Thanks for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry the second key did not work. I do remember telling you I can get another one cut and you mentioned you were not worried. Either way I apologize. With the amenities. The VRBO listing clearly states 'This is a self catering property'. Sadly not all guests read listings all the time. We do provide start up supplies for a couple of days to get you sorted as you have noted however. The supermarket is super close, so no guest will need to bring 'supplies' from home. We hope you did not think you were booking a resort stay. Resorts have 24/7 support staff. Rather, this is a self catered vacation villa owned by a individual owner who rents out their personal home. In saying that, Los Porticos always has happy and helpful staff in the office, so any time you needed someone, they were there, which is a nice bonus for guests. We are still glad you enjoyed your vacation in Belize and wish you safe travels in the future.
