Tropical Breeze was built in 2000 a luxury vacation rental home located on Wightman Lane in Captiva Village on beautiful Captiva Island.

Fully landscaped and mood lighted in the evenings so the fun can continue with private heated enclosed pool, Bar BQ, pool table, table tennis, foosball table, Tiki Bar with TV. Dinner seating for 12, even a bathroom.

It is positioned on a quiet and tropical sandy lane covered by palm trees and Royal Poinciana. Far enough from the center of Captiva village for peace and quiet but close enough to be able to walk to and enjoy all the amenities.

This beautiful luxury vacation rental home Tropical Breeze is just sixty yards away from one of the best beaches in the world in Captiva Island Florida. It is available for holiday vacation rental and has five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

It has 4200 square feet of air conditioned living space. The first floor has a master bedroom with a King sized bed and bathroom and a twin bedroom with bathroom.

The second floor has another master bedroom with a King sized bed and bathroom as well as a King bed with bathroom and a twin bed room with bathroom. The home is fully tiled, bright, light and spotlessly clean.


Amenities: There is a laundry on the first and second floor, it is suitable for families or friends sharing and has every convenience. It has a heated pool in a beautiful Lanai. In the living room there is a 73 inch HD TV which has cable, DVD and Video. Each bedroom also has its own Cable TV, DVD and Video. The house also has a distributed sound system. Play your favorite CD while sitting on the upper deck watching the amazing sunsets. This home was perfect in all ways for our family dream vacation. Room for everyone, there were seven of us, ages 73-8. Big screen enclosed pool area with ping pong, pool, tiki bar, grill and more. A cooks kitchen, everything needed to cook family meals. Comfortable beds, large bathrooms. Walk to beach, just about 100 yards. All the beach paraphernalia, umbrellas, chairs, toys for the kids, I could go on and on as to why this house was the perfect place for our family vacation. The Bubble Room, ice cream shop, and convenience store all in just a short walk from the house. Bonus view, an huge Osprey and nest. Craig our host was extremely responsive. Absolutely loved our time here.

We couldn’t have asked for more! The location and house were outstanding. We loved the short walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops. The house was also super well equipped, better than any property we’ve ever stayed at on the island. We loved the huge screened in pool, deck, and tiki bar area. Lee and Bonnie were also super helpful upon entry to the property. We will definitely be back again!

Fun week with friends

4 couples spent the week here celebrating a birthday, walking on the beach, playing pool and ping pong at the house, swimming in the heated pool, enjoying local restaurants and just relaxing. The home was amazing! It was clean, very spacious and had everything we needed in the house and for the beach. Plenty of beds and room for 10 adults. The pool, ping pong table, pool table, and tiki bar were a great hit when we were not at the beach. The host was great. Captiva is back! Most businesses and restaurants were open. The live music at the restaurants was great. I highly recommend this house and a vacation to Captiva

Amazing property in a perfect location

Tropical Breeze is the perfect property for families and friends. It is steps from the beach and it is a beautiful home. The kitchen is kitted out extensively to cook, bake and serve at scale. Multiple refrigerators and freezers helped us to stock our big shopping for the week. Lee and Bonnie are wonderful hosts. They personally welcomed us and helped us with any questions that we had.

Perfect 50th Birthday Celebration

We absolutely loved our stay at Tropical Breeze and highly recommend this property. The house is beautiful and was the ideal space for 5 couples to enjoy. The proximity to the beach and to all of the local restaurants including an easy running route to see the manatees at South Seas couldn’t have been better. We loved the dolphins at the beach and all of the amenities provided. Lee took such amazing care of us! We also added cleaners 3x's during our stay which was such a bonus. The second floor terrace was a great place to enjoy the late sunshine and the pool was a fun spot for early evening fun. Can't wait to return!

Great place to stay

The hosts Lee and Bonnie were awesome. Before arrival helped us know what was there and who to contact for rentals. Lee answered immediately if we had questions or issues Their home is perfect location to the beach- just a 2 minute walk. Most restaurants are at the opposite end of street or next street over - easy walk or we took a golf cart. The house layout worked out great for our family of three generations. Everything is very organized and clean and decorated beautifully. Their downstairs enclosed pool area and game room was perfect for the toddlers who asked as soon as they got up to go to the pool! We had a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend to everyone.

Perfectly appointed for family fun

We’ve vacationed on Sanibel and Captiva for decades as a family, and I can honestly say this was one of our favorite vacation homes to visit. Upon arrival, Lee was at the house and ready to greet us and show us around. The location and proximity to the beach can’t be beat! We noticed the cleanliness of the property immediately. Even the beach chairs had been dusted of sand and were ready for use. Everything has been very well thought out for the perfect beach vacation. There were plenty of floating toys for the kids with an air compressor to blow things up (huge perk!). The outdoor shower was perfect for cleaning up after the beach. Plenty of beach towels to go around. The pool area is lovely and so entertaining. With the pool table and ping pong table, even with the rain we had, there was something fun for us to do. We loved the space in the kitchen. It had everything you could possibly need. Very well appointed! Thank you Lee and Bonnie! You made this trip very special for us!

Perfect for large families!

We spent a wonderful week at tropical breeze with adult kids and grandchildren and this house was perfect! The location to the beach is just steps from the front door and we spent most of our days there. When the kids wanted a “change” they’d switch it up to the very comfortably heated pool. The home was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is appointed with everything you could need to prepare any meal, ( we were there for thanksgiving and pulled off a traditional roast turkey dinner)! The bedrooms are spacious and they even used the master bedroom closets to set up pack and plays for the kiddos! We enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables in the evening and played games by the tiki bar. It was ideal! Lee was over the top terrific in his communication, kindness and generosity. There were gifts for the kids when we arrived and he even loaned my son in law his personal golf clubs! I cannot recommend this home highly enough. It was worth every penny and we hope to return someday!

A Breeze at Tropical Breeze!!!🌴

We stayed a wonderful week at Tropical Breeze. We have stayed at many houses in the area from North Captiva to Captiva. Really can’t say enough about the house, location and the helpfulness of the property managers. We arrived on a very early flight- 7:30 am. By the time we arrived at the house after doing a few things it was before check in. Lee ( manager) allowed us the use the pool, beach towels, beach equipment and change in the tiki pool bathroom.- Prior to checking in. Which in turn we were able to check in early because it worked out. Everything about the house was perfect. Very spacious for 10 people. Everyone had a space to unwind by themselves and great areas to congregate. They young adults loved the tiki bar area with pool and game room area. The kitchen was so well equipped even though we really didn’t cook that much!!!! Two floors of bed rooms with each floor having their own washer/dryer, can’t go wrong. There were other hidden gems to this house I didn’t even realize until we got there. To many to list. Trust me loved the house. There were 2 families ranging from 82 to 16 years old. I have to say the first rental we all agreed on to rent again. The walk to the beach was very short and easy. There were 2 carts to hale the stuff which had chairs for us all and umbrellas. Good beach towels were provided. The manger Lee and his wife Bonnie were incredible. Whenever we had a question or concern they answered our text immediately. They were very accommodating and very thorough with their care of the property. I would suggest anyone looking for a house for a large party to rent Tropical Breeze!!!🌴 Ps they have an outdoor air compressor to blow up your Floatable’s for pool and beach. How many houses are say this!!!! 🌴❤️🏝⛱🐠

The family vacation of our dreams

From the moment I came across this house online, I knew I wouldn't be able to get it out of my mind and stay anywhere else. We had a big family vacation with 6 adults and four kids 5 and under. The house was beyond what we could have imagined and was perfect for our needs. From the pool area, to close access to beach and restaurants, it was perfect. The rooms were all large, bathrooms were great and living areas were large enough to comfortably fit all of us. One of our favorite things was having lunch overlooking the pool every day. There were sand toys, wagons, fully stocked kitchen, every last details and anything we could need was there. And we knew if there wasn't, we could always reach out to Lee. Lee, the property manager was one of the kindest and most people ever. He was so easy to communicate with, responded quickly and was very helpful before, during an after the trip. He even coordinated getting floaties for the kids so we wouldn't have to pack and bring ours. We hope to be back in the future with our whole group and will always treasure the memories we made the week we visited. We miss it already! Thank you!

Once we saw the house we knew it was the perfect home for our family. A perfect venue for familys of all ages. Just 3 homes from one of the best family safe beaches in the world.

What makes this property unique

Simply one of the finest homes on Captiva, it provides everything you could require for your stay in paradise.

Tropical Breeze is privately managed. We we were frustrated with our experience with rental agencies, they never provided the service we required for our guests, everything provided was cheap and of the lowest quality, and the house was dirty because their cleaners didn’t care. Spend 1,000’s dollars to rent a home and have a few mini soap bars, 3 dishwasher tablets and thin poorly laundered bed sheets.

As the caretaker and host at Tropical Breeze for owners Phil & Natalie Buckingham, my wife, Bonnie and I will personally handle your reservation, make sure the home is generously supplied with bath soap, laundry detergent, dryer anti-static sheets, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, salt & pepper, pre-measured coffee packs, sweetener, and ice… all the things you often need to waste time purchasing when renting though a rental agency.

Lee will meet you at our home on arrival. He can organise rentals of cribs, bikes, kayaks, golf buggy’s, organise trips or activities for you if you wish, and can also facilitate the stocking of food and drinks etc before you arrive and makes sure the house is in perfect condition for you. We are proud of the fact the house is always spotlessly clean.

There is a reason why Tropical Breeze has consistently received the reviews it has, we love our home, and so do Lee and Bonnie and we want you to have the best possible vacation.
