Great views nice lady good cooking facilities cabin could do with renovation wiring may not be safe
Quiet and peaceful with absolute water front lovely views, owner is nice, good kitchen with oven and fridge, cabin is in need of attention, the electric wiring may not be safe and the floor is all over the place, tripped a couple of times walking around.parking was difficult for unloading and loading car, would not suit people with mild mobility problems
Peaceful location and relaxing stay. Karen and Mark's cottage was just what our family needed. It was at the end of a long dirt road and it had everything. If you bring enough food, you wouldn't need to leave.
The lake was clean and the house was what We expected of a picturesque Maine lakefront cabin .
Beautiful quiet retreat
This is a very special spot. Listening to the loons was amazing. And Karen's home cooking was everything the other reviewers described! We'd definitely come back.
This was the perfect spot for our Maine vacation. My teenage boys and husband really enjoyed the fishing. It was excellent! Great hikes nearby and close enough to Acadia National Park. The home was cozy and rustic, but perfect for our needs. Karen was easy to work with and available as we needed. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at The Fish Net our first night there. You really have to try that place! The village of Blue Hill is quaint and lovely.
Perfectly rustic and private cottage
West Acres is a lovely rustic and very private cottage located on Third Toddy Pond near Blue Hill, Maine. Karen West goes way beyond being a gracious hostess in providing yummy, to die for five cheese dip, blueberry wine, crackers, and a sensational blueberry pie right out of the oven. The camp can sleep at least seven with the loft, and provides an amazing view right on the lake. This cottage has all you need for amenities as well as a canoe and paddle boat. Also, the swimming is excellent. Blue Hill is very close if there is a need to get to a market or just to enjoy the beautiful Maine coast. The price is very reasonable and the value is terrific. If you're looking for a fancy house on the lake experience, this place isn't for you. If you want a pleasant, relaxing, and enjoyable week on one of Maine's best lakes, this is the place for you. I'm booking for 2017 now.
Perfection on the lake!
This was by far one of the best vacations my husband, dog and I have ever had! Perfect location, perfect lake, perfect hosts. The swimming, sailing and sunrises were amazing. The surrounding areas were beautiful as well with so much to see and do! The homemade goodies that were provided by our hosts were the "icing on the cake!" Can't wait to go back!
