Best equipped property we have ever stayed at!!! Well designed for enjoyment of our family of 10…4 young boys! Pool, hot tub, game room and Astro turf back yard! I enjoy cooking and the kitchen had it all…2 grills (one gas one charcoal). We plan to return!!

wonderful week at the beach!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very pleased with our stay. The house is in a great location. We originally wanted to stay in Pawley's or Litchfield, but this part of Garden City is the best of both worlds. The street is quiet and the beach isn't crowded, but we were only 15-30min away from activities. We thought we would stay at the house more, but it rained a lot which led us to go do things like bowling, rolling skating, and indoor mini golf. The back yard pool and games are great and were enjoyed by toddlers and adults. The pool is perfect for toddlers with the shallow section separated from the deeper section. We used the elevator every day for my 91 year old mother and it was great to have. We discovered some maintenance issues but they were handled quickly by management. On the listing it says that beach chairs and umbrellas would be set up daily, but they weren't. They were at the end of our walkway and it wasn't a big deal to set them up ourselves, but it was strange that it was never done, even on calm, sunny days. Overall we had a great time and appreciated the decor, the cleanliness, and the amenities. Highly recommend this house as well as Bask Away.

Wonderful House, great location

Beautiful house and property, we were grateful for the dog friendly fenced in yard, pool, turf and hot tub a hit with our older children and we loved being steps from the beach. Maintenance manager and property manager were great. Beds very comfortable, great views!

My family with small children were with us . The kids love the pool, beach and the closed in back yard. We wish the grill was gas instead of charcoal. We have stayed here two years in a row and love the improvements and the vesco board on the wall in the kitchen. The hot tub also a hit with my family that the pool and hot tub salt water and not chemicals. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Family Vacation

For late May it was cooler than we expected, but you can't control the weather. We enjoyed walks on the beach, building sandcastles, and jumping in the heated pool! The pups loved the grass area and fenced yard. Would definitely recommend Palmettos & Sunshine!

Great vaca

The house was great! Lots of room and privacy when needed. Had issue with one door not locking, ice maker in cabinet did not make ice and the filter in fridge needed changed so no filtered water! All in all a great vacation for our family! We loved the location, the pool and the kitchen was very well equipped! Elevator was a nice touch to, especially loading and unloading car!

We absolutely loved our stay at Palmettos and Sunshine! Everything was truly perfect from start to finish. The property itself is beautiful and so well cared for, and the staff went above and beyond—always attentive, quick to answer our calls, and genuinely helpful with any questions we had.The highlight of our trip was nothing short of magical: a turtle nest hatched right outside our front door! We even had the once-in-a-lifetime experience of helping rescue a baby turtle that was struggling to make its way out. It’s something we’ll never forget, and it made our stay even more special.Between the wonderful accommodations, the attentive service, and that unforgettable experience, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. We would 100% return to this property again and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach!

Great house

We stayed Mother’s Day week. 2nd stay in this beach house. Our main group was 7 adults with some friends dropping in for overnights during the week. We also had our dogs. This is a great house. Very clean, functional and well stocked with everything we needed. We noticed renovations and upgrades since our last stay, they were all well done and added to the experience. We will rent this beach house again. Owners and rental agency were very responsive. Usually within minutes. Thanks for making your home available.

Annual family vacation.. first time in Garden City!! Loved the locations d the outside features fit our family incredibly well!!! The inside has a great layout, but as I said when I first entered .. just a great atmosphere.. but needs a little love and care.. lots of fabrics and rugs.. very worn.. photos were not a good representation of what we found.. but we had a great time and would return if we could book a week prior to this year in July.. Thanks for the memories!!

Wonderful Family Trip

The house is well equipped with everything you might need and has a very nice layout for all ages. We all loved the location. We had one minor issue with the internet, but not a big deal (to me!). The pool stayed nice and warm so we played in it all week long and the beach is beautiful at this spot in the off-season. The management company was very responsive and helpful. Just what the doctor ordered

This place is all about beauty and relaxation. The views are awe inspiring, the beach is expansive and made for long morning walks. The kitchen was very well appointed, there wasn’t a dish, pot, or utensil lacking. The owners thought of everything. The backyard was fantastic and the safety of being fenced in was peace of mind when travelling with our pooch. We spent more time in that backyard than the beach! There are also games and books throughout the house, but not enough time even after a full week stay. The location of the home offers a perfect balance of a quiet neighborhood and close proximity to restaurants and where all the action is at in Murrell’s Inlet. Awesome property, we were sad to leave.

Great location but disappointing experience

I thought the house delivered on charm, location and amenities. Where the experience failed was a result of door issues, cleanliness, staff response, etc. I would really like to speak with the owner to make sure they know that the property is not well maintained and the response from Bask Away is not acceptable. I expected much better for the cost of this rental. All items could have been addressed had Bask Away followed up. Very disappointed as this is a great location with much potential. I hope the owner reaches out for a conversation.

Derek, Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry for any inconvenience, as our guest experience is our top priority. BASK Away takes the cleanliness, the care of the home, and the guest experience very seriously and we are sorry you encountered a few disruptions during your stay. Likewise, the homeowner takes enormous pride in her home and is continuously updating as needed. Based on our team follow up we do feel all issues reported during the stay were remedied quickly. The few items we were not able to address during the stay, have since been remedied and we wanted to provide an update. Since the stay, new hardware has been installed on the front door of the home. The homeowners have completely replaced the stove hood and the kitchen faucet and the stair treads were addressed when the floors were refinished last month. Concerning pest control, all of BASK Away homes are sprayed and treated quarterly. We did reach out to pest control once you notified our team. We have not had any complaints since your stay in this regard. We appreciate that you enjoyed the location, amenities and the charm of this home and we would love to welcome you back to ensure a more positive experience with our team as well.
