Oceanfront Cottage with great views and beautiful sunsets. Just bring your clothes, food, and enjoy. The cottage is on a quiet secluded street. The backyard opens up to a large wooded area. Very private location. It is a perfect spot for families or those who want to get in touch with nature.
Beachstone Cottage is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation home, that has been lovingly restored and decorated with modern day conveniences in mind. The main level features a sun porch entrance, well equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace looking out to sea, seperate dining room area, bedroom, bath and laundry area. The large master suite on the second floor features ocean views, a large L-shape couch, queen bed, Jacuzzi bath and very large flat screen TV.
Conveniently located on St. Margaret's Bay, just 5 minutes from Peggy's Cove lighthouse. Close to many restaurants, galleries, sightseeing opportunities and a myriad of outdoor activities. Groceries and most 'city' amenities are a 15 minute drive away.
Beachstone Cottage is a great place to base your explorations from. We are within an hour's drive from such scenic areas as Halifax, Mahone Bay, Chester, Lunenburg and the Annapolis Valley.

We chose this location purely for the peace and quiet. We wanted to surround ourselves with nature. We were also attracted to the great number of outdoor activities available in the area.
A lovely time being together and reuniting with family and friends. Le Have, islands, The Valley, Halifax, Lunenburg, many lovely meals including our lobster fest. Thanks for all the great cookware. Came from near and far. We loved staying in this beautiful house, kayaking around the cove, and eating at the Finer Diner. Thanks for the memories!
The Oceanfront Cottage near Peggy"s Cove was a wonderful sanctuary for our family.
The amenities were all we had hoped for and more. The Ocean view was a treasure,
and the location allowed us to visit many Maritime tourist attractions. We also
enjoyed the large collection of classical music available with surround sound!
Thanks for sharing your home.
Clean quiet and fullY supplied kitchen. Bring own spices for cooking as has salt and pepper. Great newer main floor laundry . Only thing to buy own grocery and misquito repellant. Close to stores restaurant and 5 min to Peggys cove. Only minor wish list does not have own Wharf. Roomy can have two separate families for privacy. Both floor has satellite cable and WiFi.
Tons of books and music collection.
Great time thanks Ken.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ideally located in pleasant surroundings for quiet lazy days or to explore the surrounding countryside. Halifax is a lovely city and Peggy's cove is a real treasure.
Both home and yard were very clean and well-kept. Owner was helpful and responsive. Very quiet neighborhood. Sunset line-of-sight impeded in June, but probably better in July and August. Peggy's Cove definitely unique and beautiful, but for hiking purposes, Polly's Cove, about 2 km further down the road, is better. Finer Diner was convenient, Rhubarbs had the best food, and Sou'wester the best view. If you are up to the drive, Lunenburg (1 hour) is worth it, Mahone Bay not so much, Bay of Fundy and Scots Bay/Cape Split (2 hours) very beautiful. If you want to talk with someone who knows everything about just about everything in the area, check out Ivan Fraser at the Peggy of the Cove museum (not really a museum as much as a family history).
We had a great week at this lovely house, which was perfecly situated for exploring the area, including Halifax to the north and the lovely fishing villages and beaches to the south (Lunenberg and Chester were our favourites). It was also ideal for more local walking opportunities (loved the trail from Prospect Cove) and in particular, popping to Peggy's Cove later in the evenings (5 minute drive away) when most of the other tourists had gone.
We loved the quiet location (could hear the waves lapping onto the rocks - how wonderful is that?!!) and the uniterrupted view straight onto Hacketts Cove was beautiful, especially the sunsets in the evening.
The house was well equipped to meet all our needs (travelling as a family) and our two girls loved the garden.
We would definiately recommend this property to family and friends!
This was a great location! Close to a lot of what the East Coast of Nova Scotia has to offer. We had dinner at the Sou' Wester. Definitely a must!
Our party fit comfortably. It would be nice to see the main floor renovated with an open living concept to allow for better airflow on the hot nights. We spent most time upstairs in the master with our kids watching movies at night.
Quiet location. Check out Queensland Beach...great for kids!
