Chalet, 6 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 20)
This 4,830-square-foot, lakefront chalet is situated on over 11 acres and features 180-degree lake and mountain views from nearly every room! It will accommodate up to 15 people in beds (I will allow 20 people max) with five bedrooms and three bathrooms on two floors, plus an 800-square-foot loft with king size bed, a full size bunk with single on top.
It is the perfect location for weddings and family reunions. I have had many of both over the years. I always receive nice cards and letters from the people that have stayed here telling me what a nice time their family had, how beautiful the house is and how they can't wait to return again the following summer.
I provide only quality furnishings, linens, towels, soaps, toilet paper, appliances and utensils. I have high end front loading washer and dryer on site. I pride myself on keeping the home spotless for each rental. The grounds are always well groomed.
The home also features hardwood floors, a river-rock fireplace in the living room, open kitchen and dining room with water views. The cedar tongue-and-grove cathedral ceilings add a warm and cozy feel. The very large master suite has two-story-high cathedral ceilings, a private deck over looking the lake, a gas fireplace and a private jacuzzi tub in the large master bath suite.
There is another large deck off of the living room with a hot tub, patio table, gas barbecue and great views of the lake. The house also has it's own private boat dock, sandy beach with fire pit and picnic table.
Very private Rose Lake is ideal for water skiing, wake boarding, fishing and boating. Most of the time you will have the lake to yourself. The water is very calm and ideal for all water sports.
There is also another boat ramp less than two miles from the house that will let you access Lake Coeur d' Alene if you bring your own boat.
The house is also close to hiking, biking and snowmobile trails, as well as numerous area golf courses. It is less than 15 minutes away from Silver Mountain Ski resort and it's famous World's Longest Gondola. Look Out Pass Ski Resort is only 45 minutes east in Montana with the best snow and best daily lift rates around!
Silver Mountain Resort opened a brand new water park and wave machine in 2008. Silver Mountain also offers Mountain Bike rentals for use on several of the areas bike trails. They also have Downhill bikes for those who dare to take the Gondola to the top and descend Silver Mountain.
Also nearby is Silverwood Theme Park, another well known area attraction for the family and kids about 45 minutes drive from the house.
This home is located less than 22 minutes from Coeur d' Alene and 55 minutes from Spokane International Airport.
Central air conditioning was added to the home in 2007 for those extra hot summer days! Thank you!

tons of wonderful space for a large family group and very pretty setting
We really enjoyed the property. Having lots of fresh snow was very fun for sledding.
The large eating table and huge living room with 3 equally huge couches and coffee tables fit our crowd perfectly. This house has nothing but room. And loading and unloading the cars is very convenient.
It is a bit of a drive to Silver but you will not find a house anywhere closer with such space.
Great place for a large family!!
Our family met here for Thanksgiving weekend and it was great! Very warm and cozy...we loved it! Spacious rooms, owners were great to work with and we would love to come back in the summer:) the only reason it doesn’t get a 5 Star is because the bathroom shower water temperature and pressure were very hard to control so you were either feeezing cold or almost burnt so it was not relaxing to take them, as well as no tub for children to bathe besides the big jetted tub in the master. Loved the floor heat too! Thanks again for offering your home to families like ours...
Beautiful welcoming lodge!
Home is beautiful with comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay and it accommodated 15 adult ladies.
A stunning setting for this spacious northwest home on the shore of Rose Lake!
Imagine all the amenities; a sandy beach, dock, firepit, hotub, beautiful home with a large kitchen, indoor fireplace for chilly evenings and you’ve got it all covered! We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more!
Not a good place
Good luck with your deposit getting returned. I actually went around fixing things during our stay, that he was not charged for. I had my tools with me and decided to leave the place nicer than what I found it. We had a wedding at this house and spent thousands of dollars to do it. When we left there, you couldn't tell we had ever been there except for the bedding being used. Upon check in, the dishes all had to be washed, there were dead flies and bees all over the window seals, the grass was all dead and brown, and not a single outdoor garbage can! Wow! Really? I went and bought two big garbage cans with lids and told the owner that they were a gift from me to him. He was ungrateful, and actually complained about not wanting garbage cans on the property. Not so much as a "thank you." Several days after we checked out I inquired with him as to how long he thought it would be before we would see our deposit back. He was rude and said he has 21 days by law to return our deposit. I just said ok. Then a few days later he started saying there is a scratch on the dinning room table, and sent me a picture of it. The scratch is small, and I don't even know if we did it or not, but he pulled some number out of the blue and decided to keep over a hundred dollars from our deposit. In addition, he made a "cash" deal with us to stay an additional night. He had me put the money under a locked closet door, but is now claiming he never got it. Now he is deducting hundreds more for that! In all, this guy is trying to keep a very large portion of our damage deposit. From what we have been told, this is not the first time this has happened. Lots more to tell, but I think you get the picture. Don't do it, you will be sorry.
I had a bad feeling about this individual from the first time I spoke to him by phone about his wedding he wanted to have at my property. I got a bad vibe from him,! On his last day he called me by phone to ask for an extra night for an extremely discounted rate. As a favor since he had just been married at my property I agreed to the extra night stay for $250 and asked him to leave me a check as he did not want to go through VRBO payments. He insisted that he wanted to leave cash. When I went to the property after the rental to inspect it and get the payment no payment had been left. The dining room table had also been badly scratched during their wedding event. It turned out that this individual rented my property using a partially fictitious name, not his real last name and his new wife's credit card. They filed a fraudulent credit card dispute claiming that they had never stayed at the property and should receive their full deposit back. Through extensive research I was able to find out his true name and criminal back ground. He has an extensive criminal arrest record for forgery, felony theft and multiple drug arrests. A total low life!
We had a fabulous stay at Hartley's property on Rose Lake! The house and the surroundings were wonderful. The lake is great for swimming and boating. In fact, during the week, we nearly had the lake to ourselves!
The house is furnished beautifully, and the landscaping is lovely.
Thank you for a great week with our familyy!!!
