Barbara was quick to respond to questions.House is very old and located in a poor neighborhood, but this is Selma, a city where 28% of the population is at the poverty level.House is large with comfortable beds, a modest kitchen and a tiny bathroom.Central heat worked well but bathroom has a small gas wall heater that would not light. Which made it very cold considering temperature was in low 20s one night. The kitchen needs more silverware. It does not have a toaster or colander, kitchen essentials if you’re doing your own cooking. And Selma doesn’t offer a big selection of restaurants. It has a 5 cup Mr. Coffee type coffee maker, hardly big enough for 2 guests, let alone a house that sleeps 6 who are coffee drinkers. The TV is located in the dining room. and wired rather precariously, instead of the living room, a very odd location; particularly since other than dining rooms chairs there’s only one recliner. There are large area rugs throughout which have upturned corners, a tripping hazard, especially for older guests.All-in-all it was an OK house, but far below the standards of most VRBO rentals, and we’ve stayed in a lot all across the country.
