About this property
Amor Vida — a quiet 1910 farmhouse in the Colorado countryside
Amor Vida is a 1910 farmhouse on two acres of open country outside Ault, about half an hour from Fort Collins. The last stretch in is gravel, and somewhere along it the noise stops.
Guests tell us the house reminds them of a grandmother's — and they mean it as the highest compliment. Glass doorknobs. Stairs that squeak the way old stairs should. Vintage china stacked in the cupboards, tablecloths and cloth napkins, a record player with a collection worth digging through. Every room has been furnished with things that were chosen, not ordered.
Outside, there's a wide lawn, a fire pit, a hammock, and old cottonwoods where the bald eagles perch. Beyond the yard sits Clark Lake reservoir — water levels rise and fall with the season, so the view changes through the year, but the birds don't leave. Binoculars provided.
Inside: three bedrooms, two baths, a fully stocked kitchen down to the spices, Starlink internet, and a game room with a wood stove, ping pong, and enough vintage board games to fill a rainy afternoon. Blackout curtains in every bedroom.
A note on the house: it's original, which means no dishwasher. Dishes are done by hand at the kitchen sink, looking out at the fields. Most guests decide they don't mind.
The house sleeps up to eight — three bedrooms sleep six, with a king air mattress in the game room for two more.
Well suited to families, couples, and anyone visiting Fort Collins or CSU who'd rather not stay on a highway. Pets welcome.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
