This is a charming little cabin in a wooded setting. Only wish is better lake view from the cabin and better beach for swimming. Owner is easy to communicate with and cabin is equipped with everything you need.

I don’t advertise a swimming beach or an awesome lake view from cabin. If that’s why you left a 4 star review shame on you. Did you get everything as advertised? Were you mislead in any way? No. Was there something wrong at the cabin? Was it dirty? No. No and No. So what gives?

Weekend getaway

Clean, well kept property. Nice and remote, but a short drive to Zorbaz and Park Rapids. Inside cabin had new furniture, counters, and appliances. Would go back and recommend.

North woods getaway

Very nice , new cabin with full kitchen and amenities. Wonderful dock with a beautiful view. Bring a kayak or canoe! Nice fire pit and wood was provided. I brought some also to get the big logs started. Close to Itasca and the Iron Horse bar and restaurant. Great area!

Here’s a polished version of your review:We just spent a week at this charming cabin on Little Sand Lake in Park Rapids, and had a wonderful time. The cabin is cute, clean, and quaint — perfect for two people. I grew up vacationing on Little Sand Lake, so it was really special to have an option available here now that the old resort has closed.Dan is very responsive, and the lot itself is beautiful. Little Sand Lake is as clean and pristine as ever. Fishing was slow during our stay, but that didn’t dampen our trip at all — we found ourselves simply soaking in the beauty, surrounded by nature. One of the great perks is the ability to bring your boat to nearby lakes to try your luck elsewhere, and with so many lakes in the area along with some wonderful local towns, there’s no shortage of things to do.The only downside was how shallow it was near the dock, which meant we had to bring the boat in each night. A small price to pay for the nostalgia, the scenery, and everything this little gem has to offer. We’ll be back!

Space to breathe

Everything about this place was wonderful. Driving up the tree lined winding driveway was comparable to Vermont. Watching the leaves swaying on the trees surrounding the property created a calming environment. The large yard was perfect for us to play with our dog. The lake was clean and the lily pads blossomed every day. The cabin was quaint, modern and very comfortable. This place was exactly what we needed, we loved it.

Relaxing

Right when we walked in the cabin we knew it was going to be an amazing stay… myself and my wife fell in love with this very cozy cabin on the lake. It was super clean almost like new.. we had a fire almost every night, did a lot of fishing and caught lots of big pan fish..we had the best time. The place was close to do other things like the casino😊 the Mississippi head waters… and small town shops😊 we can’t wait to get back here in the fall… PS the bed was super comfy also…

The cabin is located near the water which has a dock. Mornings and evenings one could hear the loons. Cabin was comfortable and had the necessities available one would need. Do take a blow dryer - one is not provided. Its location is near Nevis, Dorset and Park Rapids. Lots to take in and in close proximity.

Shake down cruise

Everything broke, plumbing, softener,lock,dock not complete to water, had to exit thru window when lock failed wasp bites. Other than that was a convenient location.

I'm sorry things didn't work out for you on your 30 day rental. I had each 'problem' looked at by a professional in that field within 24 hrs of notification. They all said there was nothing wrong. There was nothing that broke. It was user error. And the dock goes all the way to the lake as shown in the pictures. I'm not sure what you are talking about in your review. But everything works as it should and hope you consider a return trip.

If you want to “finish that novel” or paint a landscape, this little cabin is for you. The remoteness and quiet make it retreat-like. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need for heating a snack or making a meal (although there are great restaurants a few minutes away). We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cozy cabin.

Great little cabin in a beautiful private setting on the lake. The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. Dan was helpful and responsive throughout the stay. Great value and a great overall experience. I enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again.
