Tennessee Getaway

Beautiful home, lots of room. Everyone had a wonderful time. There was some construction, no fault of the owner. But we truly enjoyed our stay

Kids Loved the Cabin - Adults not so much

The cabin would be amazing if maintained better. We rented this cabin to stay in as part of my girls Annual Adventure Trip. My Girl Scouts worked extremely hard and sold A LOT (45,000 boxes) of cookies to make this trip happen. We are also usually a fairly flexible group. So much so that when we got to the cabin and found several issues, I notified the property management of the issues but said only one really needed to be addressed ASAP, and we could handle living with the smaller matters- just wanted them to be aware. But then we got a couple of curve ball’s thrown at us that night and had to call back the following morning. We had a bed collapse on one of my chaperones- they camp out to fix it the following day- but again as soon as someone sat on it, it collapsed again and we had to call the following morning again. When one of the fridges kept us up all night with an awful sound- the fix was to unplug it- put another fridge in its place - and leave the broken one in the middle of the kitchen. A the week went on, I was made aware of other issues that the girls had found early on- but they didn’t think to tell me about. The house has amazing views, and lots of great features, but really needs to be better maintained and needs a deep cleaning.Oh and if you have an after hours emergency - cross your fingers that they answer the phone cause when we tried to call about water leaking into one of the rooms, I couldn’t get anyone to answer.
Dining tables fit 14 each.
The original problem with the collapsed bed. When fixed the first time- they just propped these 1x1 sticks back under with nothing to secure them. After I complained the second time- they came and put some 2x4s under and bed was finally solid.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations, especially given the significance of your group’s trip. We understand how meaningful this visit was for your Girl Scouts, and it’s disappointing to hear that maintenance concerns affected your experience. Our team responded to each reported issue promptly, including sending maintenance staff to address the bed and refrigerator. We regret that the temporary solution with the replacement fridge caused inconvenience, and the bed issue persisted after repair. Your report has been shared with our management and maintenance supervisors to ensure both issues are permanently corrected. Regarding cleanliness and follow-up calls, we’ve reviewed your comments with our housekeeping and after-hours teams to ensure faster response times and deeper inspections moving forward. We take your concerns seriously, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to continually improve our guests’ experience. We’re glad the girls enjoyed the cabin’s features and views, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the seamless and enjoyable stay that so many of our guests experience.
