My wife is a teacher and I am an air traffic controller. I like cycling on the countryside. We love traveling around the world.

It was my first house in Barcelona where I was very happy, I started to know Barcelona from there. I think it's a really good apartment from where my customers can go easily to the main city sites due to it's adequate central location.

What makes this apartment unique

It is a quiet place in the middle of Barcelona. It's very well communicated and you can walk to the main places. It's very close to the Barcelona's fair. There's a quality restaurant crossing the street, but there are many more recommended restaurants around. If you like cooking there's the Ninot market and specials shops like Jamonísimo near by. It takes only 15 minutes to the airport by a taxi or an airport bus.

In the kitchen there's a volcanic rock BBQ. There's an outdoor hut in the deck. The washer is in the unit inside the hut. A bottle of quality Spanish wine as a welcome.

Convenient, clean apartment

The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the muggy August temperatures. Place was exactly as advertised. Nice bathroom. Easy to get around Barcelona from here. Would have preferred written check-in instructions in advance of arrival, but overall a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay.

When we arrived in Barcelona, it was already dark and I didn't have an idea of where we really were situated in town. Fidel met us at the door with keys and info on the apt. It was really clean, and in the morning we were able to see where we were. I liked being in a part of town that was more local than touristy. SInce we live outside NYC, it was easy for us to navigate around by metro. Fidel made a list of nice restaurants around the apt which we did go to. Happily. The area was very safe and it seemed really easy to walk to many of the places we wanted to go. Twice to the Palace of Art , to some of Gaudi's homes, to shopping and wide boulevards. (You will need a cab to the Park Guell)

The apt itself had all we needed. Top floor had a terrace we used more than once. We were four, two adults and two teens. I do wish I had had another bathroom ( hence one less star but that is just my preference, not a criticism of the apt) but the one there was spacious. The AC worked well. I liked the "Rear Window" aspect of the apt. From your windows, You could see all across the four sides of the large interior plaza and see families living life in Barcelona apts.

The apt's street is busy but the apt has no front facing windows so it it VERY quiet! The apt looks just as it does in the pictures. I would say it's about 400 square feet.

The second bedroom has a bunkbed with a double on top. This room does not have a window to the outside but is lit by a window to the airway. My daughter was fine. My son slept on the couch and was comfortable.

I loved Barcelona. You walk a lot. We did so much in four days it was wonderful. I love taking part of vrbo apts because you get to see how people really live in town. Plus, with four people, you can't get enough room in a hotel in Europe. They don't do the two king size bed thing and that means booking two rooms. With an apt like this, you get public space and a kitchen, terrace, as well. I would definitely recommend this apt.

It was also clear that Fidel would have provided info or attention to anything else you needed.

Oh, a taxi stop was nearly across the street. That helped in the morning on the way to the airport. (24 euros)

Great location, helpful owner, would be perfect with improved maintenance and cleanliness.

This unit is within walking distance of many attractions, tapa bistros, fantastic Mercat Ninot and well served by local transit system. Fidel is very accommodating in meeting us earlier than scheduled and gives excellent suggestion for neighborhood eateries, including Mercat Ninot (we highly recommend). Bathroom is bright and spacious; kitchen wares are quite worn out and we did not cook at all. Lots closets and storage space in the large bedroom with queen bed, smaller bedroom is equipped to sleep 3, all are very quiet for resting night. Roof top patio is a plus. The unit would be more inviting with more comfortable chairs and newer dining table. All in all, we enjoyed staying here as it is a perfect location and the host is very friendly.

Nice Apartment in Central Location.

The apartment is clean and well furnished. The kitchen, bathroom, and living / dining room are large. We made use of the rooftop patio every day of our stay. We cooked a few times during our stay and found everything we needed in the kitchen.

We only used the master bedroom and the bed there was comfortable. Although the building on a busy street, the apartment is at the rear of the building and is very quiet for sleeping.

The location is great. Two metro stations are within easy walking distance (Tarragona and Rocafort) and the whole city can be explored once you're on the metro. With a little more walking you can get to La Ramble with a nice stroll down the Gran Via and a walk through Parc de Joan Miro will take you to Placa d'Espanya and the Font Magica.

The local area offers a large supermarket around the corner, a nice bakery across the street, and multiple other shops and small restaurants. Con Valles, a restaurant directly across from the apartment, has good online reviews but may be fully booked up to 2-3 weeks in advance. We were unable to eat there but plan ahead if you want to give it a try.

We arrived well before the 3PM check in time but Fidel was very accommodating and let us in the apartment early. Fidel provided directions to the local shops and left a bottle of wine to welcome us to Barcelona. We had no reason to contact Fidel again during our stay, but our one meeting with him was positive.

I would stay at the apartment again and would recommend it to friends and family.
