Este precioso apartamento decorado con madera mayoritariamente está situado en el centro de la ciudad, en el emblemático barrio de Sant Antoni cuyo centenario mercado podrá ver desde el balcón.
La zona es inmejorable para conocer la ciudad. Debido a su estratégica ubicación, usted podrá ir ya sea caminando o en los innumerables medios de transporte (autobuses, metro, bicicleta, etc) a los lugares, barrios y monumentos mas emblemáticos de la ciudad.
En solo diez minutos caminando usted se encontrará en Las Ramblas, la Plaza de España, el Passeo de Gracia, la Rambla de Cataluña, Montjuic, la Plaza de Cataluña, el barrio Gótico, el barrio del Raval, el barrio del Borne, o el Maremagnum, entre otros ejemplos.
Tomando el metro a 50 metros de casa usted se encontrará en solo 15 minutos a los pies de la Sagrada Familia.
Sin duda el mejor emplazamiento para conocer la ciudad.
Cute and fully refurbished apartment at only 10 minutes walking to Plaza Cataluña or to Ramblas, with great views of Sant Antoni market in the Eixample quarter . The Wood House is situated on the first floor in a building with elevator. Since the apartment faces the XIX century market the open views let the sun get through the balcony window in the morning and a pleasant light during the day.
The apartment has recently been refurbished, with quality and modern but warm materials like wooden floors. Fully equipped: full kitchen, dining area for two or four, washing machine . All details have been carefully chosen.
Sant Antoni neighborhood is a typical area where you can experience the real Barcelona life with a lot of places to eat “tapas” , to have a good dinner or to drink a wonderful Spanish wine. This is not a tourist area (yet) prices are not crazy, the bakeries offer real bread and the hidden tapas bar are not fashioned or tricky. They have been here always. It's one of our local treasures.
Furthermore, the location allows you to walk almost everywhere. Reach easily the city center from Plaça Catalunya and visit all the Gaudi's musts. Walk through the Raval and get to the Ramblas and Boqueria market. Walk through the theater district, Paral·lel, to the harbour and the marina promenade. Or walk up Montjuïc in a whole day of awesome museums and gardens.

Delightful experience - cannot ask for more

Although we have only spent 2 nights at The Wood House, they were absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for more - both the accommodation itself and the service Manuel and his partners have provided us with were impeccable. What attracted me to the advert in the first place was the fact that it stands out and it actually looks like a "home away from home", not just an apartment to spend the night in. Once we arrived there, everything was exactly the way I have seen it in the online photos, which is always nice because this way you know that you are dealing with someone that is actually advertising the "real deal" and not just trying to make the photos look good. The stylish apartment had everything we might have needed and one thing that simply amazed and delighted us was the ceiling fan which we found to be absolutely perfect to cool down once you get back to the house after a long, hot day. Let's just say we became instant "fan fans". Another aspect that makes this property a very attractive one is the location it has, as it's conveniently placed quite close to different metro stations, which made it really easy for us to use the public transport. I would definitely recommend this lovely apartment to any of my friends visiting Barcelona and I will keep it on my list for future trips. Thank you for being such a good host, Manuel! Can't wait to return to The Wood House,

Our family of 3 had a marvelous time in this cozy spot, right on the market of San Antoni. While the market is under reconstruction... We loved shopping in the temporary market, and watching the work on the amazing structure. The neighborhood is warm and real and accessible to so many spots. We are walkers... So we primarily walked, but the metro is great too. The personal attention at check-in was much appreciated. We are coming back - no matter what - once the market is completed!

A charming homely stay in lovely part of the city

This apartment is compact, comfortable, very well decorated with lots of special touches and in a superb location with easy access on foot or by metro/bus to all of Barcelona. Manuel is good with communication so you always feel 'in touch' which is important and reassuring. Be sure to go around the corner to Carrer Parlament where you will find a lovely wine bar with brilliant tapas. We cannot speak highly enough of Barcelona and her people, it's a wonderful city which has so much to offer. So thank you Manuel for your lovely apartment and we will definitely return.

Central, comfortable, clean apartment in Barcelona

Really nicely decorated. Has everything you will need for a short stay. Very clean and modern, loved all the IKEA touches. The four of us found there was plenty room in the small but spacious apartment. Manuel met us on arrival, kept in contact with us by text when necessary and came to wave us off on the day of departure. A lovely man with a lovely apartment for rent. We look forward to visiting again as there is much more to see in the city.

Perfect!

The Wood House is a beautiful apartment, we loved the decor. It had everything we needed for a relaxing, comfortable holiday. The apartment is well situated for bars, restaurants and shops and is close to the metro station. Manuel was there to meet us to give us a tour of the apartment and show us maps of the neighbourhood. We found some lovely bars and restaurants nearby. We had a fantastic time in Barcelona - we would definitely stay at the Wood House again. Manuel made us feel at home. Vacances au top

Un appartement pratique, bien situé et très joli. Quartier très sympa Bus, métro, commerces tout près. Place Catalunya à 15 min de marche Nous avons exploré Barcelone à pied et avons apprécié cette proximité. Tout est pensé pour s'y sentir bien, presque chez soi ! Si nous retournons un jour à Barcelone, notre premier choix sera de revenir dans cet appartement. Nous le conseillons vivement ! Merci Manuel des explications laissées sur place (tout est pensé même l'hôpital le plus proche). Vraiment de belles vacances !

buena relacion calidad precio

nos alojamos hace un par de fines de semanas 4 personas en este apartamento. No está en el mejor barrio de brcelona y no tienen grandes lujos, pero es una buena alternativa al hotel, sobre todo si van 4 personas, y es un fin de semana con algún acontecimineto en la ciudad, que tiene los hoteles a precios prohibitivos, sobre todo si tienes que coger 2 habitaciones. Repito sin lujos, pero merece la pena

This property was in a great area to get around town. Everything you need close by but out of the tourist area. It was clean. Parking was easy. Host was very responsive. It was nice to sit with the balcony doors open

Great spot in a beautiful neighborhood

This apartment could not have been better. The neighborhood was really nice--close to restaurants, markets, anything you could need. And while it is not large, it is clear that a lot of thought was put into the set up and design of the apartment. Wifi worked great. Aircon worked great.

Great location in a peaceful neighborhood

Our stay at the Wood House was fantastic The central location was great, within walking distance to most of the place we wanted to visit. Also very convenient to public transportation. The apartment is very comfortable while being on the small size. There is a beautiful view off the tree covered balcony toward the San Antoni Market. Manuel is a great host. He responded quickly to any of our questions. We would be happy to stay here on our next visit to Barcelona Be aware that the code for the apartment is operated by an app that you’ll need to download before your arrival

A Barcelona Delight!’

We spent just over a week at the Wood House and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The apartment is well located, clean, functionally equipped, safe and fun. The bed is very comfortable and the balcony was ideal for people watching. The large market with food and clothes was just across the street. Manuel was extremely responsive - a great experience! Get ready for the kitchen and bathroom to bee small - but we adjusted quickly and easily.

Not worth it

Fotos are deceiving. The Wood House is actually an indoor Mercado across the street. The rental apt is in an old building with an austere front (not pictured). We found dirty dishes and used pillow cases with previous guests hair oil on them. Had to hunt for bath towels and never located the hairdryer until hours after it was needed hidden on the top shelf of a bookcase. Dead flowers , lack of light bulbs and no batteries for the clock or fan. It’s not worth the price…stay somewhere else. Also access can be very confusing with the download of an obscure app.

Barcelona Perfection

This apartment is perfect for exploring the city and it’s located in a wonderful neighborhood! Restaurants and shops right outside your door and an incredible market across the street. The apartment is beautiful and every need has been thought of.

VERY MISLEADING DESCRIPTION

We chose this apartment (my adult son and I, an elderly woman) in large part because it was described as having 2 bedrooms. IT DOES NOT HAVE 2 BEDROOMS. There is 1 very small but attractive bedroom (without a window). There is a couch, convertible to a bed, next to the dining table, as shown in the owner's photo. And there is a loft with about 4' headroom reached by a vertical ladder. Worth mentioning also: the 'hot tub' mentioned in the description does not exist. That said, the apartment is otherwise charming and well located.

Great location!

This is a small apartment in a wonderful neighborhood! If you would like to get away from the tourist areas and enjoy the local culture, this is the place to stay! Manuel, who manages the property, is very responsive. When we couldn't connect to the WIFI upon our arrival, he got back to us within 5 minutes with the new WIFI information. We are very happy with the property and the service we received.
