we really enjoyed our days at this location. It was interesting to be in "the forest" and within a few miles of our wedding destination. the home was very well taken care of, clean and fully outfitted. Highly recommend.

Mary is a superb host. Easy and prompt communication, good directions and the house is nicely remodeled. Very Clean. We couldn't have asked for more...lots of games/ (we didn't have time to do any) but the property is a great space, both outside and inside. We would not hesitate to rebook it.

Outdoor Oasis

We really enjoyed the River, fire pit, coffee on the deck and views, and sounds of nature. Remote feeling with all the local conveniences. Close to great bike parks and a short drive to Tampa.

Perfect River spot

We were in town for a quick visit and the location was perfect for everything we did and everyone we saw. The house was perfect for me and the kids. Lots of sleeping space and amenities. Will book again and hopefully get to use the kayaks next time! Thanks!

On the River

The house and property were perfect for the family get together. Chilling time on the deck with a fire and bird watching not to mention the kayaking on the Alafia made for a wonderful week.

It’s quaint and secluded but not far from dining and any type of shopping you would need or want. The deck is beautiful with a great view of the river ! Would definitely recommend to all.

Nice place on the river

The house was nice and as advertised. The porch and outdoor space is very pleasant. The lights in the parking area were out so it was very dark if you need to get to your car at night.

Short weekend on the Alafia

Did a short weekend trip to the Alafia River with my sister and her kids, before school started. This River house was perfect. It was minutes from Lithia Spring, and also the Boat ramp we planned to use to go and Explore a popular creek. Super clean, towels, and linens were available, as well as all the kitchen utensils we needed to make dinner the second night we were there. The Kids Loved it, and had a great time, the Large Jenga, and corn hole were an added bonus. As well as the fire pit and firewood for making s’mores.The views were amazing, and it was super relaxing to enjoy a cup of coffee on the dock in the morning. We would definitely book here again.

Wonderful!

Beautiful place! Squeaky clean, comfortable and modern with all the amenities inside and out. Everything we could have needed was provided. The property has a tranquil, secluded feel but is actually within minutes of everything. The host was outstanding. Can’t recommend highly enough!

beautiful home

we stayed here while visting tampa for a concert and it was the perfect spot. beautiful neighborhood, beautiful house on a river, home was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. host was super nice and accommodating with things we asked for. over all one of the best houses i’ve booked, 100% will book again if i come back to tampa. thank you!!

Wedding Weekend

We stayed for a long weekend for our brothers wedding. The location was incredibly convenient to all of the venues we had to be at over the weekend. The house was comfortable and welcoming. It was so nice to have "home base" to come back to and feel settled in. Such nice outdoor spaces as well! We enjoyed the dock and having our coffee on the deck.

March Trip

This place was perfect! It is close to everything but you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere on a river. The house and property were wonderful. Our kids want us to come back in the summer so we can enjoy the kayaks and river. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Thank you again!

Perfect stay

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is close to many restaurants and grocery stores, yet off the beaten path giving it a very peaceful feel. Set right on the Alafia River, you can enjoy many activities although my husband and I chose to just sit on the big back deck enjoying watching the trees and all the birds. Our bed was comfortable and we had everything provided that we needed for a relaxing stay. I would absolutely recommend and will most certainly be back. Super clean and also has a full sized washer/dryer. Our host, Mary, was attentive but also gave us the autonomy we desired.

17th birthday celebration

This place was hands down one of the best family trips. The house had everything we need and the canoe and kayaks were put to good use. My son was able to enjoy time on the river with his friends both nights we were there. The place also was not far from the lagoon we visited as well. I felt at home and Mary had everything you would need for a home. The firewood was a nice touch! I loved the private balcony as well separate from the patio deck area. We will definitely come back!

There I was when the Alafia River kept rising....

We loved it! The Alafia River and the surroundings were everything we wanted for a short getaway. The accommodations are rustic in appearance and then you step inside to a beautiful and modern home. Lots of "decks" to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings with morning coffee as the sun comes up. You feel like you are a hundred miles from everything but yet the town of Lithia is just minutes away with many fine restaurants. Beaches are about an hour away if that's your thing. Hmmm...back to the Alafia, which was uncooperative....so, not necessarily safe to kayak/canoe when we first arrived, and from there it got worse. Still, we were able to kayak, just not on the Alafia. We look forward to a return visit! Thank you!
