Reviewer Comments:
For starters it should not be called a “resort”... because it’s not, the only amenities is a pool that’s falling apart, a 6 hole mini gulf course and a shuffleboard. I will say that it does have great potential but as it is, it’s definitely not worth the $175 as a nightly rate. This was our second time there, we had hoped it would have improved but it seems that cleaning portion of the housekeeping is still yet to be resolved. The issues we encountered were, leftover food from previous renters in stove, dirty dishes, lipstick on cups, paper in trash bins, sand all over the floor, a musky / Pee smell coming from one of the bedrooms, and housekeeping coming one day out of the 3 days of which I had to go get new fresh towels from the front desk as housekeeping was nowhere to be found on the property. Something to be on the look out for is the couch that folds out into a bed in the living room, it is a chiropractor dream for creating clients, so if your planning on visiting and your the one sleeping there get ready to feel the pain. THE GOOD POINTS about this hotel? It’s location as it relates to the two little town both north and south of its location and the office staff were very nice and polite. Perhaps a reply email will be sent to offer apologies for this experience however the only apology the owner/RVA can offer is a partial refund, anything less is just a bandaid to look good as a reply to this review. Overall, I give silver sands gulf beach resort a 1.5 star out of 5 rating. If your looking for locations and don’t care about cleanliness, this is your spot, but if you do, I’d keep away..
