Cancelled due to hurricanes

The property manager was very unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was very unhappy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

I called RVA on 10/2 to cancel this reservation due to Hurrican Helene, as we had no idea what condition the condo or for that matter, the island was in. I was told there would be no refund as I cancelled less than 2 weeks before our scheduled stay. I was offered a voucher good for one year, but requested it be extended to 18 months, as we are planning on returning in April of 2026. I was waiting for an answer as Hurricane Milton struck, doing further damage. I have not pursued the matter yet, as I know there are many recovery efforts happening. But I will ask again in the next couple of weeks. The ratings below only indicate that we did not stay for the week planned. Our many previous visits have been extraordinary, which is why we return and hope to again.
