Escape to your own private retreat at Cabin 16, a beautifully updated 1960s A-frame nestled on nearly 2 acres at the historic Ponderosa Lodge. Just one mile from downtown Glenwood Springs, this stylish cabin offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience.

Step out to your private back patio, then retreat inside to enjoy a fully stocked kitchen equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave, and all the cookware you need for a romantic dinner for two. Relax by the indoor gas fireplace or unwind on the comfortable Queen bed after a day of adventure.

I absolutely loved my stay here; so much so I wanted to stay! It was quaint, clean, cozy, quiet, and close to everything. The host was also very responsive at the time of check in. It was my first time booking through VRBO, and they really made the process easy.

Fabulous little place

The inside of this little cabin was beautifully done. The kitchen was perfect, big enough to cook a meal if desired. The location was wonderful. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Overall I rate this place a 10!

Comfortable Cabin!

My husband and I have stayed at several expensive, mediocre hotels throughout Glenwood. We’re so thankful we found this gem! The room was clean, comfortable and had a great location! The property manager was easy to work with and made our stay so pleasant! We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

So fun!

This was a great property to stay at! The surrounding are so cute. The cabins are so modern on the inside. The mattress was amazing! One of the best nights sleep in a long time. We will stay here again.

Great little cabins!

We were pleasantly surprised with how nice these little cabins were. Well kept, clean and a decent bed! A little tricky turning left out onto the main road, but that's the only thing i can think of. We're definitely going to be back-thank you!

Weekend getaway

Loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Soooo cozy, bed was so comfy I didn’t want to get out. Everything need is there. Very quiet. Communication was seamless. Thank you! We will book again.

Great place for short trips

Stayed for three nights. This place is conveniently located on the frontage road on the western part of town. Its close to Iron Mountain Hot Springs and downtown Glenwood. Pros: •Clean full kitchen with full size fridge/freezer •Nice 3/4 bathroom •TV with wifi and apps •Cute seating area •Parking spot for one vehicle •Location Cons: •Front door doesn't seal well creating a draft and easy access for bugs to come in •Light pollution from outdoor cabin lights and apartments behind cabin

The Ponderosa Cabins are spread out over 2 acres, right off of Highway 6 (parallel to I-70) in West Glenwood Springs. Historic and iconic, this property feels like a little oasis in the city- and if you overlook the nearby hotels and roads, you might even feel like you are staying in a remote mountain getaway! Located about 2-3 minutes from the Iron Mountain Hot Springs Pool and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, 3-5 minutes to downtown Glenwood Springs, and the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, and the Amtrack train station.

Not a boring typical hotel! The Ponderosa Cabins, est.1939, offer their own kitchenettes, clean and well-appointed cabins for guests to enjoy the best of Glenwood Springs, with downtown being less than a 5-minute drive. Near the Glenwood Adventure Park and Hot Springs, amongst 17 total cabins on a 2-acre property, this location will soon be a destination for Western-style weddings, and large family retreats (coming soon!).
