*NEW* Luxury A-Frame by Sunday River w/ hot tub

*As seen on the cover of Maine Homes by Down East Magazine 2023 Winter Edition*

No detail was missed in this custom-built, luxury A Frame. From the eco-friendly clay plaster walls to the hand poured concrete island, brass light switches and rattan light fixtures, natural materials were used whenever possible in this unique build to bring the outside in.

The home was designed with family gatherings in mind, and we can’t wait to share this space with other families and friends.

(Note: We’re beyond honored so many of you have asked, however we aren’t selling plans to the home. It’s a custom one of a kind property that we spent years designing and love that it’s a one of its kind!)

WHAT'S IN TOWN

Just 3 minutes away, you’ll find the town of Bethel, Maine. Bethel was named one of the top ten prettiest mountain towns in New England by Yankee magazine.

They say "The charming village of Bethel sits where the White Mountain National Forest’s Mahoosuc Range spills across New Hampshire into Maine. Small boutique shops, bakery, cafes, B&Bs and a gem museum dot Main Street. Head to the surrounding hills for groomed cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing".

Bethel features 2 grocery stores (Bethel Foodliner and Good Food Store), restaurants (a few of our favs are Le Mue Eats, Steam Mill Brewery, Mountain Social, The Matterhorn Ski Bar, Suds Pub and The Bethel Inn), a golf course and nature trails for walking and exploring, a bait and tackle shop (Sport Thorma), and a historic independent movie theater (the Gem Theater).

For winter fun, Mt. Abrams Ski Resort is 13mins away and Sunday River is 10mins away.

GUESTS BEST SUITED FOR THIS PROPERTY

Responsible guests looking to get away and explore nature, play games in the large yard, have evening fires, relax in the beautifully designed home and enjoy local attractions. This includes small families, couples, and friends in groups of 10 or fewer. The property is suitable for guests of all ages including babies and children, though we do require that the person booking the listing be at least 26 years old. Although we love dogs, no pets are allowed due to family allergies.

The property is plowed but we recommend four wheel drive in the winter.

We stayed in this cozy, well-appointed home for a few nights while skiing at Sunday River. The home was beautiful inside and out, a nice distance from both skiing and downtown Bethel, and plenty of room for all our gear! We all enjoyed the modern feel, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and amenities. We could have stayed much longer in this beautiful home and hope to return!

Our stay at the A-frame was like staying in a boutique hotel- the design and quality of the house, fittings and decor are exceptional, and the owner’s additional touches (soaps, provisions) made it feel indulgent. It’s in a beautiful location - peaceful surrounded by woods, with easy access to cycling and hiking in the mountains (which is what we were here to enjoy). Communication with owner was easy and attentive. One of our best ever trips.

Absolutely stunning

I usually don't write reviews, but this property is so special. Every little detail is meticulously thought out, from the decor to the toiletries in the bathroom, just has all the right vibes - it really feels like a 5 star hotel experience and absolutely worth the price. Located about 10 min from Sunday River it's a perfect getaway in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The host was also super responsive and helpful. I definitely look forward to visiting again and recommending to anyone looking for a place to stay in Bethel. Thank you.

Most relaxing stay!

Our two families try to get a ski vacation in together every year and this has been our favorite break yet! We loved staying here and found the house to be super relaxing. The layout encourages your group to hang out together but is well designed enough to provide plenty of opportunity for quiet downtime alone too. We loved how anything you could possibly need was supplied and we cooked many enjoyable meals that we could share together at the big dining table. The bunk room was perfect for our tweens and the tv in there meant that the adults weren’t subjected to endless YouTube videos in the living room. The hot tub was the icing on the cake after a day skiing and before we got cozy in front of the fire for the evening. We hope to come back again. Thanks for a wonderful and much needed vacation!

My husband Patrick and I work in the film industry and travel the world shooting commercials and brand campaigns. We live in Boston with our two little boys. I grew up skiing in Maine and now our toddler is learning to ski, and we spend all of our free time in Maine. We’ve been lucky enough to purchase two homes here in Maine over the last five years and build our dream A Frame this past summer.
