We really loved the location which is at the end of a stone lane. Close to amenities and pet friendly. We happened to meet the owners at check-in, and they were very gracious! We would stay here again.
Nice house in a private location with large yard for dogs to play off leash. The house was stocked with everything needed. Beds were comfy and living room couches as well. Easy drive to nearby attractions. Would consider this rental again when visiting the area.
We loved this home! It felt like home away from home! Lovely property in very quiet area. We saw deer multiple times a day! It's a short drive from all things New River Gorge. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, great shower. One of my favorite homes we've stayed in.
Very cute house. My kids loved the kid rooms and toys. Easy to find the house with detailed driving instructions. Very quiet area, quick access to NRG and surrounding areas. The grass did need to be cut but otherwise great outdoor space.
Great location and home worked well for us! Very easy drive to the NRG bridge and visitor center and downtown Fayetteville. Could probably use a deep clean at the end of the season, but we were comfortable for our stay!
The location was perfect! Close to all New River Gorge Activities! Inside was nice and clean. Enjoyed the big yard for the kids to play and to have a fire.
Our family of six loved this cabin that was close to New River Gorge with the feel of being away from it all. Our boys loved the creek on the property and we enjoyed the extra touch of home the owners placed in providing board games and a comfortable place for us to relax.

Liked: Communication
My wife and I needed a place to stay for her family reunion. This place was very close and conveniently located to her family. The home on the inside was clean and well kept. The outside could have used some upkeep. There wete spiderwebs at the front door. The grass could have been better taken care of and there were rat droppings on the front porch.

The cleaning service have not been doing a good job. The house needs attention.
We loved the location of this house. The creek that ran along the property was an added scenic bonus. The house was close to NRG and Hawks Nest as well as several waterfall hikes. The house was well stocked with about anything you could need. We did have to contact the owners while we were there and the communication was great. You do have to walk through one kids bedroom to get to the other, which wasn’t a problem for us but might matter for some. We had a great time and would return.
Plenty of room to relax after hiking all day. Missed the driveway the first time, the property is tucked back in the woods. We saw deer two mornings by the stream outside. Nice place.
Our stay was fantastic! There was a water break at the house before we got there but we had excellent communication with the hosts prior to arrival. Although our check in was delayed, they refunded us for the first night and made suggestions of nearby places for us to stay. Their communication made the process simple and did not interrupt our vacation at all. The house was clean and well taken care of. If you are headed to Fayetteville I highly recommend staying here!
This house is great for families! We loved the board games and puzzles. They thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable! The local artwork was a nice touch. It is in a great location near NRG and Summersville lake. Just a suggestion the back childrens bedroom could use blinds on the windows so the kids aren't getting up with the sun. Also we felt like there was still an old house smell.

About the host

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA I have been traveling all over WV for the past 30 years. I fell in love with the beauty of the area, the spirit of mountains, and a love for the people that make up the communities our properties are located in.
Why they chose this property
We loved the privacy of the property while being so close to the NRG, the town of Fayetteville, and the parks.
What makes this property unique
Only a 7 minute drive from the main hub of the NRG you are close to all of the action but being in the privacy of a cabin with all of the amenities of home. We remodeled the entire property and have made it an oasis for friends and family to gather and make memories. With over 4 acres, a large fire pit, private woods, stream, and multi level decks for entertaining and relaxing it is an outdoor lovers paradise. You may see deer in the field, a hummingbird stop at the front porch, and squirrels running through the trees while sipping your morning coffee. We are located in a certified dark zone that is perfect for star gazing and have a telescope available for you to use!
