Sunset Beach: Beachfront Villa! Pool! Hot Tub!

Do you enjoy walks on the beach? The sound of the water lapping on the shore? Beach homes with all the comforts of home and then some? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Sunset Beach is the villa for you. One of the few villas on the island that is set right on a rocky beach, just across from the shoreline of a small cove, perfect for beach combing and snorkeling. There is also a great sandy area between the pool and the beach that you can relax on!

Sunset Beach also offers a full range of creature comforts. Float in the large lap pool or unwind with a long soak in the warm spa. Prepare a meal in the expansive kitchen and enjoy it on the breezy balcony. No matter what you fill your day with, you can look forward to a great night’s sleep in one of the villa’s four bedroom suites, listening to waves gently breaking on the shore.

Property was in great shape. Close to downtown fun in St John. Only issues was the main gathering area did not have AC. It was a little warm cooking breakfast.

A great week with family!

Beach area beautiful with great snorkeling! Pool clean and perfect for cooling off! If staying in the summer months, bring lots of bug spray…mosquitoes are terrible! Air conditioning in the bedrooms great, but there isn’t any in the kitchen or common area. Made it very hot for cooking.

The pool was lovely - and the layout of the house worked for gathering together as a family, while also giving everyone the space they needed to rest and relax. The rental team was great - the place was clean and there were even some small provisions provided for our arrival which was a sweet touch. Overall - we really enjoyed our stay - and my mom is ready to book again for next year.

It is a large, updated home with gorgeous views all around. It is about a 12 minute drive to get to Cruz Bay by car so very convenient. The Catered To team was very responsive before and during our stay and took care of our minor issues very promptly. The home is well-equipped and we cooked many of our meals at the house without any issues. The AC in the rooms are great and kept us cooled off. Also appreciated having 2 sets of washer/dryers on site. We loved having access to our own pool as well as rocky beach. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Outdated and in need of repairs

This is a pretty setting but the house is sorely needing a refresh. Doors on cabinets falling off. Lights that don’t turn off at the switch. Rusty fans. Cracked tiles and concrete. It doesn’t look like any regular maintenance occurs. Looked great online; not with the money.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Sunset Beach May 6-11 and for a family of 7, we had plenty of personal space as well as an open space for all of us to enjoy games and good food! The beach is rocky, but great for snorkeling, watching the boats from the lawn chairs and listening to the waves. We enjoyed the pool and the beautifully landscaped outside areas the most. The iguanas and hermit crabs made daily appearances too which was fun! Only suggestion would be to add air conditioning to the indoor family/kitchen area. We definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday work grind!

The pool is beautiful, clean, and a wonderful place to relax after a morning exploring Cruz Bay or north shore beaches. The outdoor showers in two of the bedrooms are an amazing feature! The house is well maintained and we felt right at home for the whole week.

It was so nice to gather at the pool/hot tub when we returned.The only downside to our week was that the main living space does not have air conditioning and the bugs made it difficult to be outside at night.The location was so peaceful. The waves crashing and the sunsets were great, but the driveway was very steep and our taxis struggled to get in and out (but they did it)!

Wonderful

Easy check in, greeter takes you right to the home and shows you around. Listing is very accurate. Kayaks are available to use at the rental along with coolers and other extras. Great place to stay.

We were able to enjoy the ambience of St. John's and then return to our house to rest and revive. Loved the outdoor showers and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with things we needed. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and also our visits from the iguanas. Only thing that needs to be addressed is the screen doors going out to the balcony as they probably should be replaced. Laundry room was a plus. Abby who took us to the house was great and very welcoming. All in all a great visit!

With four bedrooms, everyone has space for themselves, but the large common area was wonderful for gathering together. The outdoor areas are fantastic, as is the proximity to the water, as there are very few waterfront villas in St John. All in all, a fantastic villa!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Everything in the layout of the house made sense, it was well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the welcome packet with starter provisions - thanks!The house was clean and we enjoyed all having a master bedroom! The view was unbeatable... it was nice not to have the morning sun beating down to enjoy daily coffee and breakfast on the deck with the iguanas. We had some wonderful excursions and enjoyed returning for late afternoon swims, enjoying the hot tub and evening sunsets from the deck.Highlights included hiking Rams Head and having lunch at Lucy's, spending the day at Maho snorkeling and paddle boarding, hiking to Water Lemon Bay and snorkeling with sea turtles, tropical fish and seeing barracudas.Favorite restaurants and eats were Banana Deck for nice evening out and the following for casual fare: Shambles, Tap and Still, Joes Rum Hut, Lucy's on Coral Bay side, and Greengos!Our day trip with Captain Cleve for drift snorkels and Lime Out was amazing. We also booked him for a half day fishing charter and cooked yellow tail snapper for dinner.We can't wait to come back and definitely want to stay at Sunset Beach again!Thanks Catered To!The Jones FamilyCary, NC
