Poi Pu San Juan Villa - Grandes vistas y total privacidad

Situado en el agujero de chocolate, con miras sur del mar Caribe, PDI PU es ideal para la familia o parejas que viajan juntas. La ubicación tranquila, rodeada de bellos jardines de flores tropicales le permite disfrutar de unas vacaciones muy privada. PDI de la PU se encuentra a sólo 5 minutos de la ciudad de Cruz Bay y sus opciones eclécticas para ir de compras libres de impuestos y la buena mesa. Otros 10-15 minutos le llevará a las famosas playas en la costa norte en el Parque Nacional VI.

Al entrar en la villa se le llevará a la arquitectura abierta de la gran sala, un comedor con capacidad para cuatro personas y cocina completa con todas las características y comodidades para preparar aperitivos hasta comidas completas. El contador de desayuno proporciona un área para la socialización con el cocinero mientras que las comidas se preparan. Las dobles puertas fuera de la zona de comedor en el interior abierto a la cubierta lateral donde se encuentra otra mesa para cenar al aire libre para seis, mientras que con vistas al mirador y piscina. La parrilla de barbacoa de gas se encuentra a poca distancia de preparar hamburguesas y perros calientes para carnes y mariscos.

La apertura de las tres puertas dobles alrededor del perímetro de la villa será prácticamente duplicar todo el espacio de vida con la adición de la envoltura alrededor de las cubiertas con sillones y asientos de estilo informal. Los techos de vigas abiertas con elegantes ventiladores de techo se asegurará de que las brisas de vientos alisios tropicales de refrigeración se distribuyen en toda la villa. Con el perímetro puertas se abren podrá disfrutar de las vistas al mando de Chocolate hueco y el Mar Caribe desde la comodidad interior de la villa.

La sala de estar ofrece un televisor de pantalla plana con TV por cable y reproductor de DVD y un sistema de sonido de audio que proporciona entretenimiento casual en un ambiente relajante.

Hay dos habitaciones con aire acondicionado con camas ubicadas en la planta principal. Las camas están envueltas cada una con elegantes mosquiteros y ventiladores de techo en las camas. Cada habitación tiene un medio baño adyacente y compartir una ducha de piedra nativa grande e impresionante con dos cabezales de ducha. El tercer dormitorio se encuentra en un gran loft y cuenta con una cama de matrimonio y equipadas pequeña zona de descanso con televisión y reproductor de DVD.

Island life

We recently stayed at Poi Pu in St. John and had a blast. The property was adorable and had a nice pool that overlooks chocolate hole, what a view! One of the best days we had was just grilling some burgers by the pool. We stayed with another couple and the two rooms were perfect. Very short drive to town and the beaches. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Perfect Fit!

We enjoyed our recent stay at Poi Pu. The home is ideal for families and is in a great location. The hammock was the perfect spot for an afternoon nap! Views were incredible and the location is ideal for Cruz Bay and the surrounding beaches in that area. The home was clean and comfortable. The property manager and owner were very responsive and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend this perfect home!

Perfect location

4 adult friends stayed here. Plenty of room and house could easily accommodate additional guests. Great views and amenities. Loved having use of the beach chairs, great patio deck, kitchen and sleeping areas.

Winter getaway done right

The place is just as listed. We did note some aging issues such as the door handle and the shower but other then that we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Amazing View

We had a wonderful time on St John. This property has a beautiful view and outdoor space and is less than 10 minutes drive to town. The layout of the house is great with two private bedrooms connected by a jack and jill bathroom plus a loft. The kitchen and bathroom are getting a little dated but function just fine. The owner and host were great to work with and very responsive.

Quiet and Comfortable

This is a great spot for a family or two couples. Small but well appointed with a fantastic outdoor space and great views. The pool was great with small kids and the hammock gets shade pretty much the whole day. Only a few minutes drive from Cruz Bay but far enough away to be quiet and secluded. There were beach chairs and some toys as well as a cooler to use which was fantastic. While we had a small issue with the water turning off, it was handled promptly and communication was excellent throughout the arrival and the rest of the week when we needed anything.

great vacay

We had an awesome time in St. John, and. Poi Pu villa was in a great location. Only 5 mins to Cruz Bay, we explored all the surrounding neighborhoods on foot, gaining beautiful vantage points of the island around every corner. A few days of our week stay (July) were incredibly hot so the dipping pool and rooms with AC were key. We learned to time our outings with the scheduled power outages in the PMs. We couldn’t quite figure out how to keep the open air living and kitchen mosquito free, but came close! Many many memories for years to come, hope to be back again some day!!

Awesome views

Jackie was a great host. Answered all our questions almost immediately. We had a major storm blow through and had some minor issues she addressed. The house is well laid out and perfectly located. 5 mins drive to Cruz Bay. Beautiful views of Chocolate Hole. We did very little cooking, but the kitchen looked well stocked. I totally recommend Pui Po.

St. John Paradise

Nice location but not really walkable to town. We were hoping our kids would have an easier time walking to town. The house was rustic which was great for us. We enjoyed the pool and deck. The kitchen was wonderful and we used the Weber grill almost daily. Also, walking the roads around the property was fun and we discovered some incredible views!! This location is perfect for any family. Finally, the Dolphin Market is close which was helpful coming home from the beach each day. Thank you for a magical vacation in paradise!!

Poi Pu = Paradise

My wife and I took our 14 yr old son and 18 yr old daughter on a trip back to St. John in celebration of our 20 year marriage. The property lived up to it's reputation and more! The huge wrap-around deck was a favorite as it allowed you to take in the fantastic views no matter where you sat. Open up the doors all around the main living area and achieve the same thing. We grilled and ate at home often because it was so easy to do. The location is a great launch point to both Cruz Bay, the Center road and all the beaches, plus Coral Bay. The house gives you enough room to have your space and be together, and we could immediately feel relaxed and at home the moment we got there. It was perfect!

A secluded, peaceful, unbelievable beauty, nature inspired, relaxful vacation.

Our stay at Poi Pu was amazing. As beach lover's, Saint John is the most beautiful place on Earth. (In our opinion anyway.) Our favorite "restaurant" was staying in, grilling steak and veggies, sitting on the deck looking over our view of Saint John, with a dip in the pool to cool off. Amazing! While no ac in the house except the bedrooms, we learned quickly how to "work" the house to keep it as cool as possible, as well as how to keep the bugs at bay. Our 2 weeks flew by so fast, and is now a memory that we will never forget. I have so many pictures of the stunning landscape around the house as well as all the little chicks, birds and hummingbirds, but didnt get the iguana as he was to quick. So, if you are a stuffy, AC hotel type this might not work for you, however, if you want a secluded, peaceful, unbelievable beauty, nature inspired, relaxful vacation, this IS the spot!

Wonderful Place in Chocolate Hole

Myself and 4 others stayed at this property near Chocolate hole. It was great!!!! The house had a great pool, hammock, large deck overlooking Chocolate hole and the Salt ponds, and far enough off the road there was no sounds but that of the island birds. You can walk to both the beach at Chocolate Hole and the Westin within about 10 minutes. No neighbors made for some great privacy. The owner and property manager are SUPER responsive and thorough. We did not rent a vehicle and just used island taxis. We would walk to/from the Westin to grab a taxi and it worked great for us. Two separate bathrooms and three bedrooms gave people their privacy when they wanted it. I highly recommend this property and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Jackie and Terri for making our stay so great!

Babymoon in St. John

My husband and I stayed at Poi Pu St. John Villa for one week in late June. This was our first trip to St. John. We were seeking privacy, relaxation, beautiful views and peace and quiet. We were greeted by all of the above and much more. We loved staying in Chocolate Hole outside of Cruz Bay. Poi Pu acted as a perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get a delicious dinner in a matter of minutes. We woke up each morning and cooked breakfast in the fully loaded kitchen. We enjoyed the beautiful views as we ate on the deck daily. In the evenings, the air conditioned bedroom was a great way to recharge from a day on the nearby beaches. The breeze from being higher in elevation was soothing and we really enjoyed having the relaxation area with the hammock and plunge pool. The Wi-fi and safe did not work for us which was not a big concern. We didn't watch television or do any work while we were on vacation. We would definitely stay at Poi Pu again on another trip to St. John.

Stunning Views

This is a beautiful, well-stocked house with incredible views from the wrap around deck. You really don't want to leave after having breakfast outdoors while viewing the Caribbean. We were very happy with the quality of the furnishings and maintenance of the house. Two things to consider: 1) The house is only five minutes from Cruz Bay but you MUST have a car to get around. Keep in mind that you will be driving on the left side (former Danish colony) on narrow, winding, extremely steep roads, often all at once. It is not for the faint of heart. 2) We were surprised to hear upon our arrival that the tap water is not potable and can only be used for bathing and doing dishes. However, we were informed that Love City Ice in Cruz Bay sells 1 gallon jugs for $2 and refills for $1. There is also a 24 hour water dispensing machine in the Provisions parking lot for 60 cents per gallon. We incorporated that in our daily routine and it didn't materially interfere with our vacation.

the perfect island villa!!!

We stayed in PoiPu for the first time in March of 2023. This was not our first time on St. John, so we chose this villa knowing the location and proximity to things like Cruz Bay, and the views! This villa was absolutely perfect in every way! The photos online don't really do it justice, as it is even more beautiful in person. Jackie was extremely helpful with booking, to start with. Gave us great recommendations for things to do around the island, as well as connections for things like rental cars, excursions, etc. The villa itself is in a GREAT location in Chocolate Hole, with spectacular views. Inside, it had everything we needed, and more. Plenty of room, very comfortable beds and furniture. We used the A/C in the bedroom only a couple of nights, as the temperatures were comfortable. Opening up all of the doors to the decks brings all of the outdoors inside, and gives you a wonderful breeze as well as spectacular views from wherever you are in the villa. The pool was PERFECT. Crystal clear water, perfect to jump into after a day at the beach. The outdoor shower was another great surprise that I didn't know about until we got there! The kitchen has EVERYTHING. We used the beach chairs daily, and they were all in great condition. The only thing I wish we had there was more time! A week was just not enough. We would love to return to PoiPu again! Come to paradise in a HOME that is absolutely perfect......

Just imagine.....you have just returned from the glory of one of seven ravishing beaches on St. John....you have snorkeled (world class - all levels) swam, luxuriated and ramped it all down 7 notches as the Caribbean invites you to do.....and you enter your HOME for your vacation. You travel around the full wrap-around porch to the outdoor shower, you cool off in the delicious small pool, you jump into shorts and a light shirt, pour a rum and tonic or a glass of wine and you feast your eyes on as beautiful a view as you will see in any vacation setting:: The Chocolate Hole cove below, steep hills to the left and the right and the Caribbean Sea straight ahead and perhaps even an Iguana - stone still and quietly lording over his domain... I capitalize HOME because this feels like a home that has been lovingly cared for, appointed and equipped.....which it has.... over two generations. You are not in a sterile condo or a minimally equipt hotel room.... you are home. The open floor plan and large open doors all around embrace the honey breezes of the Caribbean, inviting you outside for a feast, a great conversation or just enjoyment of the ravishing views. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and are situated as to receive the delicious breezes all night long. We did not turn on the air conditioning once (and we were there end of June/beginning of July). The loft bed is adorable and perfectly suited to teen-age occupants.....The proximity to the unique pleasures of Cruz Bay is close and easily accessable..... its many unique shops, beach-front bars/restaurants are worth visiting often (Do not miss the Fatty Crab - a Manhattan restauranteur has opened in St. John at it is world class) I have traveled extensively in the Caribbean and have stayed in every imaginable situation. This one was by a long shot the absolute best. The Fenners are fabulous people and they SEE THAT YOU ARE CARED FOR. David Rockefeller (who visited every single island, pronounced St. John the most beautiful of all. He felt do deeply about his beloved island that he donated 60% of the land there to the National Parks service. Go......don't wait.......you will, as we did.....have the time of your life.

A lovely week in St. John!

We had a wonderful week at Poi Pu! The house was accurately described in the listing and the photos did reflect the house's appearance. There was plenty of room for our group. The location was great...off the beaten path a bit but a very short drive to downtown Cruz Bay and some lovely beaches. But you will likely have a rental Jeep like we did and then the entire island is yours to explore. The owners were happy to answer my questions prior to and after booking. Once on-island, the property management company was also very accommodating and attentive. On the whole, the house was clean and well maintained. We did have one housekeeping issue that we immediately called about and it was resolved to the best of their ability that same day. Sadly, it rendered the oven unsanitary and unusable for the remainder of our stay. (We could use the oven top, however.) It was something that required further attention after we left. Provided that happened, I would feel comfortable recommending this property to a friend or relative. Not the owner's fault, but rather the people who are in charge of cleaning the house. All of the beaches are fabulous and do get out and explore as many as you can, because they have such unique characteristics. Snorkeling sights and conditions vary as well. If you have kids, Big Maho is a great place for your first snorkle because it has a gradual progression to deep water unlike many others that drop off but a few feet from shore. It is also protected from the wind and provides calm waters. You will see rays and turtles at Maho. Bathrooms too! Trunk Bay has a great snorkeling opportunity, but it is the busiest beach and very crowded. Amenities abound, though. There are only 3 parking spaces, but do try and get to Gibney beach if you're looking for privacy. You'll be hard-pressed to find it on a map but it is located just east of Hawksnest and is marked by an iron gate. Make the hike to Waterlemon and take a drive out to Saltpond! Chocolate Hole is great for hunting for seaglass and small shells, but that's it. People bring their dogs there too. Eat at Rhumb Lines in Cruz Bay. (You should make a reservation.) So many great sights, food, shopping and places to explore. The locals are very friendly. We will return :)

Perfect stay

We enjoyed staying at PoiPu! The views were perfect and the location was close to town and not a far drive to the beaches. The property was exactly as described and true to pictures. The communication with Jackie, the owner, and the property management was excellent and helpful. We would recommend a stay at PoiPu!

The Fenner matriarch and patriarch purchased land on Chocolate Hole in the late 70s after spending two weeks on a sailboat and needing some shore time and Chocolate Hole offered not only beautiful ocean views but a constant tropical windward breeze. The property has been passed on to the children and we take pride in owning such a wonderful vacation home. It has been a favorite and special place to gather with family and friends, and those who have rented it can't wait to return.

Poi Pu offers the luxury of a Caribbean vacation home yet the comforts home. It is situated on a hillside of tropical flowers giving way to warm tropical breezes. The wraparound deck and pool area offer total seclusion from any of the surrounding villas. A 5 minute ride into downtown Cruz Bay makes it a convenient location to restaurants and shopping.
